    Jarhead Solar
Tony Havemann advertises himself as owner, general manager, veteran, or sales rep, depending upon what fits his target. He posts ads which fraudulently claim substantial solar panel installation rebate programs from the states of NC, or SC; from Duke (or other) Energy companies, and from solar panel manufacturers (in my case Panasonic). He claims some of the rebates have deadlines which are designed to entice the mark to fork over several thousands of dollars as a deposit (in my case $2250). It's all a scam. The rebates are used to solicit a down payment, and/or substantial loans which an unsuspecting customer will encumber to pay for the solar panels. Check out the business rating on BBB. Havemann has also operated in the past in NC and SC as Solar Tek Energy with an accomplice, Aron Muckenfuss. The web site for Jarhead Solar claims locations across NC (Fayetteville, Raleigh, Asheville, Greensboro, & Charlotte) but does not list any addresses other than a PO box at a UPS store in Asheville, NC as of this writing. Havemann also claims to be a master certified roofer, and to offer Heating & Air Condition services and insulating services.

    Chris Faucette Electrical Contractor
Chris did a great job! He takes pride in what he does and it shows in the quality of his work. He was very professional and explained everything thoroughly. I need to have a shed wired soon and I will definitely give Chris a call. I highly recommend him.

It wasn't a great experience. We had set up the time and they were late. And then, the other thing as well is I had a deal for two hours but they didn't actually stay two hours. They stayed within an hour and 30 minutes maybe. Then, I had said that I needed the whole work in the bedroom and that they told me that that was a separate bedroom and that they couldn't work on the bedrooms because I was having them work in the living room. I had set up the time because I wanted to have them fix an outlet because it was sparking and after they left it's still sparks at me. So, I don't think that they did the job that well anyway. Overall, it was not a good experience. The price is good which was the reason why I accepted the package.

    Branley Electrical Service Inc
Excellent. Jimmy is awesome. Had us do the work we could do (trench digging, pulling old wires) to save some funds and talked us through each step of the way. Always friendly polite and professional. Responded to questions all through the process. He knows the code and explains why all precautions should be taken. I would hire him again for any electrical concerns. We were happily back in our workshop planing some cedar the next day!

    Hodges Triad Electric LLC
I cannot say enough nice things about him. He was a nice person, he looked at other things, and I was very happy. He has standard pricing. The deal was a very nice deal. His price is standard for pricing for that type of service. He did a really nice job. There were certain switches, and I didn't know what they turned on and off, and he checked anything that was electrical. He said he was really busy, and he came as fast as he could. He showed up when he could, and he was professional all the way.

Leslie is wonderful! Service is timely, of good quality and he is the ultimate professional. When I call they remembered who I am even though it has been about a year since my last service date. I cannot say enough good things about this company.

    Canter Power Systems, LLC
They are on a high side. He was going to do some work so that we could buy a generator into our house. They listen to the need and went and look at the current system and okay what the recommendation to be.

The work was to be done on a rental property. I asked the service provider to contact the tenant to schedule an appointment and the provider promptly responded. Work was scheduled for 12 Feb. The tenant called 48 hours in advance to cancel and mentioned she would call back to reschedule. Well, on 12 Feb, our area experienced an unusual amount of snowfall that essentially put the area in lockdown mode - everything shut down. As a result, my tenant's cancellation had no impact on "lost" business to the provider. Thereafter, my tenant made numerous attempts to reach the provider and each attempt was unsuccessful. I then tried to call the provider on Thursday and Friday (20 - 21 Feb) and received no response as well. Finally, through Angieslist email, the service provider and I exchanged several emails. I mentioned how my tenant and I were trying to reach the provider to schedule an appointment and I asked the provider to reach back out to the tenant. A few more days go by and still, no attempt by the provider to contact the tenant. Once I was able to communicate with the provider, the provider said after two cancellations, they did not want to risk a third. I offered to meet them out at the property and as of today, I still have not heard back. They do have many positive reviews and after the email exchange, it appears they believe one poor review will not tarnish their reputation so the provider is willing to treat us in this manner. The provider admitted to having only one receptionist to answer calls and they have fell far behind due to the inclement weather. My perception is they do not want to stand behind their "great deal" because if they did, they would have allowed me to meet them at the property. From a customer service perspective, the whole experience was poor - lack of communication and an unwillingness to stand by their offer. They basically said, we are not coming out and here's your money back.

    ARS / Rescue Rooter Durham
This was done under warranty from Trane.  After having several problems with our Trane HVAC we decided on a contract for maintenance with ARS.  They were able to remedy several problems we have had with our unit.  They have been prompt and courteous each time.  When our heat went out recently they were able to get our part on Monday even though the problem was diagnosed on a Saturday.  They were also able to work with the company to make sure this was a warranty
    covered item.

Sparrow wired a 220 line for my new hot tub.
When they left and I turned it on, it wasn't working correctly.
I called the hot tub company and they sent their electrican out.  He diagnosed the problem quickly as Sparrow reversed the polarity in the outdoor GFCI so the tub was not getting enough electricity.
The hot tub electrician made the corrections and the hot tub worked.
I would not recommend Sparrow based on my experience.  An electrician shoudl know which line is hot and which is ground.
