    D & D Drywall & Painting
It went very well. Dennis has men working for him that do each aspect of what needs to be done. One does tear out. One does sheetrock installation. Another one does finishing. And another does tile work. He communicates and coordinates them as needed. Work was completed in a timely manner and my bathroom looks great.

    Padgett's Custom Renovations
Jimmy was helpful at the beginning, but as the project went on he failed to keep up regular communication. We had to constantly reach out to him for status and to coordinate next steps. Towards the end, damage to carpet was found in an adjacent room. The 220 line for the new stove was coming up out of the carpet and then into the wall for the new range. Jimmy's electrical contractor was quick to properly rerun the power, but the repair to the carpet was never properly completed as Jimmy stopped returning calls and responding to text even though it clearly showed he has read them.

    Carolina Remodel & Maintenance
I had the entire guest bathroom gutted and remodeled. I also had bead board installed. Everything went very well. Jason and his team were very professional and personable. They arrived promptly every morning until the job was done and cleaned up very well. The quality of work is excellent. Theyll be remodeling the master bath after the new year. Highly recommend them.

    D & D Drywall & Painting
Denis and his team did an incredible job. Denis came out to quote same day and started the job the very next day. The work was done on schedule. They were here punctually at 7:58 every morning and ended on time. They were here to check on the quality of work multiple times a day. The job included installation of drywall, repair of ceiling drywall in multiple rooms and repair of our bathroom drywall. They painted all surfaces installed / repaired and painted the walls and ceiling of our upstairs bathroom after repairing the walls. It was a 2 1/2 day job. I cannot day enough about the quality for the drywall, finishing and painting. The blending of the new and existing drywall as well as the clean lines between the walls and the ceiling are amazing. Their professionalism and customer service was exemplary.

    TILE BY CHRIS
It was a pleasure working with Chris. I was happy with the estimate and thought the pricing was very fair. I ordered the tile and since I was working with him I was given a discount at the tile store which was a nice surprise. When the tile came in I was told it was over 200 lbs in a few boxes. I was talking with Chris and was concerned about transporting that weight without help(getting over a severe shoulder injury) and he actually offered to pick up the tile and deliver it to my home. We set up an appointment. He arrived very promptly and showed me exactly how the tile would be laid and asked if I had any questions or concerns. The tile looks great and he said he would seal it yearly at no additional charge. He is extremely concerned with his tile reputation and it is pleasing to see someone take such pride in his craftsmanship. I highly recommend Chris and trust you will have a similar experience

    Queen City Kitchens
I stopped in Queen City Kitchens one afternoon and met Noel Smith. Noel showed me display boards of kitchens they had completed in the $14,000 - $16,000 price range. Noel told me that they can work with budgets large or small and would be glad to help me with all or part of my renovation. I completed their questionnaire and sketched a layout of my kitchen with measurements and submitted them through the link on their website. A few days went by and I emailed Noel to make sure that he received it since I received no response. I called a few times and Noel was always out of the office or gone for the day. That should have been a clue but I continued to pursue him until I received an estimate which was DOUBLE what I had listed as my budget on the questionnaire. I was shocked, but I asked for ways that we could reduce the cost. Noel said I could get cheaper cabinets and cheaper countertops than what he quoted. (Note that I did not pick out cabinets in the first place for him to quote) The cabinets in his quote were his choice, not mine. When I suggested that I would like a price on less expensive cabinets or cabinet refacing instead, he sent me this email: "Even with using one of our less expensive cabinets and incorporating other cost savings I dont believe we can meet a budget that would allow us to give you a result we would be happy with. I do appreciate the opportunity to look at your project and wish you success with another company." Noel R. I guess he didn't really mean ANY budget. Only a budget worth his while.

    Laying It Down Inc.
The Bathroom Remodel went great. Joey, Robb, and Krissy were great! My bathroom is just beautiful. The tile floor is quite impressive!! The mosaic look in ivory imparts and brings out the beauty of the tan speckled granite countertops. The vanity is gorgeous and ties in with the colors in the granite countertops. The two new separate sinks have new chrome faucets that match the shower head chrome and towel bar. Robb is a great coordinator in that he matches the colors and patterns together quite well. Robb was able to take out an old unusable tub and create an open space where two windows now open up into the back yard and allow you to enjoy the trees and flowers. He took the wood liners out of the window and created a whole new picture window. I just love this! He took down the old curtains, and left the shades. The shower is just unbelievable!! The hammered glass shower is just lovely and allows for privacy as you cannot see though the door. I too have beautiful chrome fixtures in the shower head and towel bar and a nice ribbed soap dish which I love. The soap will not slip off the built in soap dish. I too have a handy shelf in the shower to place my shampoo and a lower shelf that I use to lift my leg on so that I can shave my legs. The beauty of the mosaic tile floor is just dreamy and Joey did a wonderful job on the tile!! The demolition process went well and they set up plastic panels between my bedroom and the bathroom so that I would not get any dust residue. The mirrors Robb cut look great and he was able to take out and rehang the mirrors which I am sure took much effort and expertise. Robb crawled under my house to apply new insulation as the old was water logged and damaged. Quite a feat!! I am so pleased and fortunate to have had Robb, Joey, and Krissy. Quite a Team!! The demolition process went great, and they hung plastic panels between the bathroom and my bedroom so I would not have to inhale the dust. They changed my light bulbs and installed new lights. The old plumbing was replaced with new and that is reassuring. The biscuit toilet looks great against the pretty pale yellow paint job which was where they had to replace the sheetrock and paint the toilet area. I love the whole job and my bathroom looks like a dream!! Robb and Joey changed my smoke detector batteries and moved a cabinet for me and would not take a dime. They are incredible!! Thanks, Ethel W. Derrick

    Goldstar Kitchen & Bathroom
Goldstar Kitchen & Bathroom was the perfect choice. As a kitchen and bath designer myself, I have known Rob (the owner) professionally for about 15 years. When it came time to finally do my own project, it was clear to me that Goldstar would be the company I would trust. One of the biggest benefits is timing. They don't have guys working a few days a week and at other jobs the rest of the time. The same worker came everyday at 9am and stayed till 5-6pm Monday through Friday. The worker was VERY detailed in everything he did. I really appreciated that. If you're looking for a company to do your kitchen and / or bath, call Goldstar!

    Eager Beaver Handyman Service
I have yet to suggest a project they havent been able to help me complete. Project 1. Im pretty handy, but I wasnt comfortable disconnecting dishwasher, garbage disposal, and kitchen faucet. Enter Chris, who I now call Can do Chris. Disconnected all this for me but found the water shut off valves needed to be replaced. He capped the water lines, left me new valves for post-remodel installation and offered loads of advice about pre-installation preparation. Project 2. Our new range hood mechanism would not work with the old intake vent from our former over range microwave combo. Chris worked with me to figure out the best way to get it up and running. This involved creating a new hole through the brick for the new vent, removing the old vent, connecting the new ductwork to the (he even spray painted it for me) new vent, sealing it all up, repairing the old hole with new brick on the outside (youd have to look really hard to notice the patch) and drywall inside, installing the hood mechanism and liner into the cabinetry, connecting it to the new ductwork, and making sure it all worked. Were in the middle of our total kitchen remodel. When the cabinet installers tell me, We dont do that or Do you want us to do that for an additional fee I just say, I want it done right. I have people. The price I paid for these 2 projects included many of the supplies.
