    Rockstarr Stone Masonry LLC
Rockstarr Stone Masonry was easy to work with. They helped with design suggestions and stone selection. The crew was punctual and even did some basic pre carpentry work that we asked for. The fireplace is beautiful and was a great price . Several neighbors came over to see what we had done and were surprised by the reasonable price. Will definitely use them again for outside work we are planing to do. Thank you James at Rockstarr

    Asa Stanford Inc
Cannot say enough what an awesome job they did. We built a three room addition for my mother. They listened to our plan, made suggestions along the way to improve, made a reasonable schedule and stuck to it (many times done earlier than projected). They built two rooms, one with a kitchenette along with a full bath with walk-in shower. They are honest, skilled professionals. They went over and above our expectations even installing railings and shelving at the end of the project

As a subcontractor who was hired by Ecclesia for a foundation repair in Matthews we were very impressed with how they run their business. We were given a detailed scope of work upfront and our payment was quickly received on the back end. It is clear they have a professional business model and strive for quality for their clients. Chad was an absolute pleasure to work with. Highly recommend Ecclesia!

    Sharon Builders, Inc
It went great. I met with 3 contractors and liked Steve Gunn the best. His estimate was right in line with what I expected and with other contractors. I needed someone to do everything including using their specialty contractors, (electrical, plumbing, tile, etc.) and sending me to great vendors (with show rooms for great ideas) for cabinets and sink, faucet and lighting, etc. I did it all with two places that had great selections and were great to work with. Everything was done and organized on a timely schedule by Sharon Builders. I love my finished kitchen and working with Sharon builders. Alan Gunn was on site everyday that a contractor was at my house. The contractors they use were all great and I had no problem leaving my house and knowing the work would be well done. Work was done and cleanup was great. When I came up with extra things I wanted they would get it done for me. I would definitely use Steve and Alan Gunn again and look forward to a bathroom remodel in the future.

I would not have them come near a project I have anything to do with. Their work seems to be sloppy especially when it comes to erosion control and keeping water, mud and filth from running onto to someone else's property. They are unresponsive, rude and inconsiderate. Do not think twice of blocking other people's driveways and having overall disrespect and lack of consideration of other's properties. Their construction employees are filth. throwing out trash, empty drinks, lunch wrappers whenever it falls away from their mouths. Maybe that is how they act at home, although I seriously doubt it.

    Remington Homes Inc
My house was started in September 2014 and I  moved in the first week of February 2015.  It was built from the ground up starting with tree removal to make room for it.  William Coulter of Remington Homes was with me every step of the way.  At 70 years old a relocation and the building of a new home can be very traumatic, as well as, nerve racking but Charlie took the time to explain each step of the project, keep me informed, and give me updates during the entire project.   He paid attention to details of the things that were most important to me, he gave me good suggestions but listened to what I wanted.  He was  professional but went the extra mile to make sure I understood each step and address any concern or worries I might have. He always responded to my phone calls within a reasonable amount of time and would come out to the site (even on a Sunday) if I needed him.  Like all new construction problems arise but were addressed as soon as they were brought to his attention. Since moving in Charlie has made himself available if questions arise or I need advice.  I feel like I not only have a great contractor but also a friend.  Quality of workmanship, fair prices, completion in a timely manner, are many of the things that I experienced during this build and are all reasons that I would recommend Remington Homes to others..

    CDX Construction Services
Jay and his team of craftsmen did a great job - providing impeccable, superior workmanship and the project was reasonable considering amount of work required. Jay was easy to work with - candid, honest and accommodating. We had a very solid experience with few surprises. The planning and estimating process went smoothly and Jay was helpful in guiding us and recommending improvements or ways to minimize cost overages. The job waranted a lot of communication, and interaction - Jay was great at putting our minds at ease and delivering a wonderful end product. He offers a lot of experience and patience that ensured a job well conceived and completed. We had a few minor issues post construction and completion and Jay was consistently accommodating and worked hard to make time in an extremely busy season to rectify any of our concerns or issues. With all the horror stories out there it was a pleasure to work with Jay and his team. No hard sell or constant up-sell just worthwhile inputs at the right time. He's a pragmatic smart businessman who treats his clients with respect and good humor and that helps a stressful endeavor run more smoothly and predictably. We just love our back yard escape and enjoy many days and evenings throughout the change of seasons relaxing and entertaining friends and family.

    Sharon Builders, Inc

From the beginning, we knew we'd enjoy working with Steve and his son Alan. It was obvious they take pride in a job well done and would do everything to ensure we would be pleased throughout the process. After getting to know them, their attention to detail, strong work ethic and high level of integrity was very apparent. Alan was on site every day ensuring the job was going smoothly and on schedule. We hit a few bumps in the road with inspectors slowing down the process and the snow and ice slowing us down a bit but we were still very close to finishing on schedule.

We've hired contractors before who did not finish strong. Some contractors take short cuts or hire in subs that leave me feeling like I need to babysit them. That was not the case with Sharon Builders. The quality we expected was absolutely the quality that was delivered. Along the way, they spent ample time patiently answering the many questions I asked. I also felt very safe having my children play as normal while they were working. They were very conscientious of debris, ensuring nothing dangerous was laying around that could potentially harm our pets or children. They were also very friendly toward them.

It went so well, we are now going to move forward with Steve and Alan to do another major renovation. We have zero reservations about using them again.

    Artistic Contractors
We chose Artistic because we were happy with the picture of the experience we would have with them.  We were told we would be working together so that their expertise could help us get what we wanted.  All of the prices we got from the contractors were similar but Artistic just felt like they were going to be more involved.  We were wrong.
The experience was plagued with issues that seemed to be a result of poor planning on their part.  They included:
    1. We asked that they do the inside first and then the outside (we needed to get out of where we were by a set time).  They did the opposite.  While we did get into the house on time, they said they would do one thing and did another.
We asked for black and white checkered linoleum in the kitchen and expected to be given choices.  We were told one day that the linoleum was already at the house.  We didn't get to pick.  We now have a floor that is all...soft and odd.  We would not have chosen it had we been given a choice.
Several times we got calls saying we needed to "go to home depot and pick some lights" because the electrician would be there the next day.
One of the things I was most excited about was the backsplash I designed with him for the kitchen.  Later I was told it couldn't be done my way because "they couldn't find any 1" square tiles anywhere" and the guy doing the backsplash was just there that day.  So they did a different thing I had to settle for.
They messed up the order of the wood floors in the downstairs which ended up working in our favor as they had to use unfinished wood and sand and finish it for us.
They ran the AC while they were sanding the floors which caused us to have to have it fixed (they paid for it).
They painted the front door and then closed it before it was dry so the paint came off when we opened it.  We complained and they repainted it and then closed it again....which brings me to the aftermath.
They were finished last August.  The door was messed up and the floor in the kitchen was terrible but overall we were happy and excited about the new house.
Within a couple months we saw cracks appear along the corners and seams in the walls.  Not everywhere, but a lot in some places.  At Christmas we noticed that the tape the painters used was coming off in the dining room (in the corner).  This also happened in a couple more places in the upstairs.
I reached out to Artistic, uploaded a bunch of pictures for them to review, and was told someone would "come check it out".  A month passed and I reached out again and was again told someone would come "take a look"/.
Still nobody came - we got someone calling asking if we would recommend Artistic as a 203k builder.  I explained to the guy what happened and he said that as long as they were done by X time the rest of the stuff didn't matter (so I guess that's not much of an endorsement for how they pick 203k contractors).
I texted Artistic letting him know I had done the recommendation and they said they got the endorsement and that someone would be by to look at the issues.
I then emailed, called, texted over and over from April to August and got no response.  I then cc'd my mortgage broker who had recommended Artistic and amazingly they replied!
They said that they were sorry that they hadn't replied sooner but the cracks and the taping issues were not their fault.
He told me that the cracks must have been there originally.  He said a lot of homeowners will patch cracks and then after the painting is done they come back so it was not their fault.
I replied that his people pulled the original wallpaper down before they painted (which they did) so there would have been cracks then and i was never told.  And that did not explain why the tape was coming off in the corner of the dining room and the ceiling upstairs.
He replied that they don't tape at ceilings (they cut in with a brush) so that proved it wasn't them.
I replied asking if he was trying to tell me that the previous homeowner (an elderly widow) had taken down the 30 year old wallpaper, patched up cracks, then put the wallpaper BACK so that his painters could then remove the wallpaper but leave the old tape and just paint over it...
He has not replied.  All I wanted was for him to come fix the stuff his people messed up.  But to have him blow me off for that long, then only reply after I cc'd the mortgage guy (who also doesn't seem to care anymore) is disheartening.  So hopefully this will save someone else from going through the same thing.
I would not be writing this if they had come out and gone over things with me.  It took him months to even LOOK at the pictures I sent.  Terrible customer service.  During the project and after.  It would have taken very little effort to make this fine.
I have never done a review like this.  I am thinking I will probably remember more things later but this is the gist of it.

The experience with Bravo Construction was excellent.  Vic Venturo is a pro.  He listened, understood our desires in the new space and made excellent suggestions.  The construction was completed on schedule.  Vic was on-site almost daily to make sure that the work was being done in a quality and timely manner.  Bravo has excellent people working for the company.  In fact, we were out of town for 2.5 weeks during the construction period and went with complete confidence that all would be ok because of our excellent experience with Vic during the previous two months.  If we have any building requirements in the future, Bravo Construction will be our choice. He is not the cheapest but he is the best.  I know that others in our neighborhood, because they viewed our addition, have contacted Bravo to do their remodeling.  I can not say enough good things about Bravo and Vic Venturo and I would most definitely highly recommend the company to others for their construction needs.e
