    Hoffecker, Dr. Denise
There is no better Chinese Doctor in this area. My children and I have been patients of Dr. Hoffecker for over a decade. She is our primary physician. She is caring, responsive and efficient. I have gone to two other licensed acupuncturists in the past and they were not even close to the skill, compassion and effectiveness of the treatment we receive from Dr. Hoffecker.

    Patrick Santa Lucia
I was referred to Patrick after seeing a lot of massage therapists, PTs, chiropractors, etc. I have a long standing musculosketal imbalance in several areas with some cervical degeneration. As a result my atlas has a tendency to shift in response to the imbalances. When it would not stay in, the chiropractor and I began looking for other resources. After trying many, I found Patrick. He seems to really understand the muscular system and immediately identified some rotation in trunk and tightness in various areas. We have spend a couple months getting me to the point that pain level is reducing and I can be functional, i.e walking through several stores without discomfort." I would recommend him for anyone who seems to have an issue that no one else has been able to resolve. So far went 1 month without an upper cervical adjustment. Chiropractor is thrilled and suggests I keep seeing Patrick as part of my overall care program.

    Massage Heights-Matthews Festival
I have never given a negative review on any company before, but after almost a month of trying to rectify a situation I feel I have no choice. I am beyond frustrated and disappointed Massage Heights of Matthews. I have never been dealt with so disrespectfully by any employee let alone by a management staff that I cannot even get them to return my call. Please if you are looking for a membership-based spa service, massage therapy facialist look elsewhere. This company has proven to me over the last month that they are not interested in any aspect of relaxation, health betterment or well-being they are only interested in money. In March of this year I purchased a membership package to Massage Heights in Matthews, I made that decision on a whim one day of deciding I wanted a facial. After calling a couple places I called Massage Heights, they were able to work me in immediately, the girl that I saw was good, the staff was friendly and I figured for the discount of signing up as a member it was worth it. The girl running the front desk and I had had a conversation that day about how my schedule varies, I work really long shifts and I have a very stressful job so having the flexibility of being able to schedule my facial on such short notice notice was a huge draw for me. From that time until mid-may I was doing a facial once a month & going every other week for a massage. When I tried to schedule a massage in May I was told that the therapist that I was seeing was only coming to that location one day a week. Due to my schedule that month that day of the week that he was available I was not. I figured no big, deal the reason I joined was for the facials. When I went for my facial in May I did not immediately schedule my next facial because my schedule for June had not yet been released. I told them I'd call to schedule it. From that point until the beginning of June I received a call from the location at least twice a week trying to up-sell just trying to get me in the door to spend more money over and above what my monthly membership fee was. Each time I told them I would call them when I was ready to schedule. On June 6th I called to schedule my facial & spoke to the "retreat manager" Nicole. She informed me that they were no longer doing facials every day of the week, they were only doing them on Fridays and Saturdays. I'll admit I was a bit perturbed, I explained to her that schedule did not at all work for me. That the main reason I had joined that location was for the flexibility, I work weekends, I work 12-hour shifts and when I'm not working on the weekends I'm spending time with my children. I told her that since their services had changed from what I had agreed to (with no notice) I would like to cancel my contract. She refused, she told me since I still had a couple months left on my contract there was nothing she could do and I could visit one of their other location. That "other" location is at least 30mins. I asked to speak to her manager at that time, and was told that the director was not at the location and that she would pass along the message and have her return my call. I am still waiting for that return call a month later. I have since then called the Matthews branch again and spoke with a lady named Amber who told me there was nothing she could do and she would pass the message along, she also informed me that there were no notes on my account about my dissatisfaction, wishing to cancel my contract, or that I had even called to schedule an appointment. A few days after that I received a return call from Nicole, the original person that I had spoken with. She left me a voicemail stating that she had given my contact information to their retreat director and that she would be getting in touch with me shortly. That still has not happened. Last week I called their corporate headquarters, and spoke with a woman by the name of Shelby. She was pleasant, but informed me that every Massage Heights is independently owned and operated and while she sympathized with me and understood my complaints and my concerns there was nothing she could do other than pass along my information to the director and the owners. She informed me that their expectation is that I would be contacted within 48 hours, but that typically their owners were very good about reaching out to dissatisfied customers within 24. She did tell me that if I did not hear from them by today to please give her a return call. That 48 hours would have been Thursday, I still have not heard from anybody. I called the corporate headquarters again today and left a voicemail and have not heard back from Shelby. This evening I called the Cotswold location, the girl that I spoke with sympathized with me as well but all she could do was pass along my information to the director. She did call me back about 20 minutes after she and I had spoke to tell me that she had called the director herself left the her a voicemail and emailed her. This was about 6pm, she told me that they're open till 9pm and while she could make no promises she was hopeful that the director would at the very least call her back. It's now 9:30 and I still have no resolution to this.

This is absolute case of what's wrong with child care business in today's environment; Trust me when i say this as I just got my kid out of this establishment after enduring their money making techniques for past 1+ year. lets start with: DO NOT SEND YOUR KID TO THIS SPECIFIC location; there are many Kids R Kids in city and run in franchise (so if you hear good word about this brand, it's location specific). We got conned same way initially and ended up having my kid surrounded by sub par or inadequate providers & all the possible ways their management can think to extort money from parents. Dont mistake their advertised bell's and whistles as component of service quality they claim. They are no different than puppymill style daycare which are dime a dozen making their whole goal to get as much money as they could. I have a long list of what we observed as parents for almost 2 year of excruciating experience for my kid. he is brilliant and energetic kid which is really get dumbed down by this establishment as they NOR have qualified providers or nourishing environment. The most effective workforce are what they hire as 'help' and unfortunately they rotate or go in/out on rolling bases. My kid had hard time adjusting and still to date cry when being left there (there's one young individual in class who worked hard to make him feel warm and comfortable and for that we were always appreciated for her help), but main providers....they are simply incompetent. The whole persona is pretty trashy and no personality what so ever. kids are supervised per state minimum requirement, they suppose to have a tenured care taker and help but they winged the whole spring without having one and running the class by auxiliary helper and another temp helper. the pictures, webcam view and daily report means nothing if your kid is not getting a proper learning environment and that's what we observed. off course you can flash your $$ to greedy owner and they can promise something extra but that's all of that. the awful policies they have made to extort money from parents are ridiculous; I intent to raise it fully with Kids R Kids corporate and this review is one minor attempt (amongst many) to warn and inform parents about making a better and educated decision for their kid's mental and health development as well as astute use of their hard earned money. Dont get me wrong, there are indeed some KidsRKids which have better & qualified staff, nurturing environment and a management which is under standing of parent needs rather gouging money. I'll update this on as many social media platform as I could to spread the word, but again, Look around for better option. for the price you are being quoted for your child care, there's FAR FAR BETTER option in area; dont let this greedy couple (owner) con you the way they did it to us.

Anne Hilke Anstead - Massage Therapist
WOW - fantastic. I am in final prep for a triathlon and had some shoulder and lower back pain (not to mention regular tightness in my calves). Anne was fantastic. Focused on the desired areas. Understood my objectives/concerns. I was able to schedule the massage and go in on the same day. Definitely gong back.

Kinetic Spine & Sports Chiropractic Center
Good experience overall, Dr. was not in a hurry, willing to listen.  He did not try to sell a package visits, or suggest lots of visits. Treatment just didn't seem to last or improve for me but would go back.

    Urbana City Spa & Teabar
Peaceful atmosphere, professional staff, serenity at it's finest! I scheduled a mother/daughter massage package for my mom's birthday, and was a bit hesitant because it was quite expensive. We were very pleased with the services we received, and definitely feel it was worth every penny! I don't think I've ever felt so relaxed in all my life. From the complimentary glasses of wine, to the cleanliness of the facility, to the expertise of the staff, our visit was perfect. I especially appreciated how comfortable they made us feel, since we'd never had massages before and didn't know what to expect. I highly recommend them for massage, and can't wait to try their other services!

    Matthews Family Physicians
Dr. Hall has been our family physician for almost 20 years and has helped my family in countless ways.  He has accurately diagnosed and treated a wide variety of issues for all of us. During office visits Dr. Hall has counseled my children, offering words of wisdom that they might ignore from a parent.  He helped diagnose and find the best treatment for my daughter's ADHD.
When we've needed additional medical care Dr. Hall  recommended specialists for severe issues with feet, knee, and back pain as well. He recommended the best surgeons in their fields for my wife's carpal tunnel release surgery and son's surgery to repair a shattered kneecap.   Dr. Hall's recommendations have always been topnotch!
The only downfall is the wait time to see Dr. Hall, which is often more than 30 minutes.  This is because he spends as much time with his patients as they need.  Dr. Hall listens to the patient and never makes one feel dumb or irrelevant.  I would be willing to wait 3 hours to see him. Dr. Hall goes above and beyond what the typical physician does to help his patients.
Dr. Hall's nurse, Nancy, is wonderful!  She is very professional, friendly, and helpful. The only way my daughter can be given an injection is with Nancy in the room.  Her calming, nurturing manner helps to alleviate my daughter's fear.
We have seen other doctors and PAs at Matthews Family Physicians. They are always professional and have provided good care as well.  You may not be able to get an appointment with Dr. Hall, but should be able to make an appointment to see someone there without too much difficulty.

Anne Hilke Anstead - Massage Therapist
I have been seeing her for several years on a weekly basis.  As with most people, I carry most of my stress in my neck and shoulders.  She has done wonders for me.  I have recommended several friends and neighbors who go and see her on a regular basis too.  Anne really wants to help you feel better.

I purchased a Big Deal. It turned out good. I'm glad that I found him and that he was listed on Angie's List. I used the Big Deal the day I purchased it. It didn't cost me anything more than the deal. I've gone back since and plan to continue going back. I went in 3 times in the first week for adjustments. I see now every 3 or 4 weeks. He also offers foot levelers. They're like inserts for your shoes for arch support. I wasn't planning on purchasing them. He wasn't pushy on them at all. I happened to see the display in the waiting room. He was able to tell me what they were for, measured my feet, and ordered them for me. Not only is my neck and back better, but my feet are better as well. I never have to wait. He takes me right in. He's very flexible. He was helpful at explaining things to me: the condition of my back at the time and the levelers. He said the levelers are a better quality than what you get a podiatrist, in his opinion. These focus on three arches while the ones in the podiatrists focus on arch. I certainly feel better.
