  • What can we say, we absolutely LOVE Dr. Hammonds, Dr Allison, and the entire staff at Reems Creek. We moved to the area 4 years ago with 4 dogs and 3 cats and the previous owner of the home we purchased recommended Reems Creek Animal Hospital. We (pets included) are soooo happy! We wouldn't trust anyone else with our pets health. Need we say more?

  • He is a one man practice, so all the time I spend in the office, I am talking with the vet. He took a lot of time to answer questions and because he runs the office himself, the prices are very reasonable. It is full service veterinary care; he will take walk-ins as well as emergency. I've not had to wait more than a couple of minutes in his office.

  • They did a wonderful job!  I couldn't be happier.  I had one Schnauzer shaved fairly short since he is getting old and doesn't tolerate combing out knots too well.  He was groomed beautifully.  My other 2 dogs had their typical groom and also came out looking great.  One Schnauzer always comes back from other groomers itchy and covered with dandruff on his back.  Not this time.  I told the groomer about his dry skin and what ever they used on him worked great.  No dandruff, no itchy skin.  I am very pleased and will definitely be using their services again.

  • Vets can be very expensive. In this case you pay with time and patience while the fees are delightfully inexpensive. This is a walk-in clinic. I was advised to arrive early. I got there 25 minutes before the clinic opened and I still had to wait 2 1/2 hrs to be seen. (There was all ready a long line when I arrived.) The office is extremely small, so most people had to wait outside on the front porch. I really liked the vet. I got great attention and service when it was my turn. They didn't try to push additional testing, procedures or medicines on me. They took care of what I asked for. I liked that. This is a good clinic if you're not on a tight schedule.

  • Layla has had 4 haircuts and the past 3 were done at the Vet and she had to be put to sleep. I always felt bad about having her be put to sleep, blood work, and a nasty bill of $170. I found out about Kim and her company at a flyer in Downtown Asheville and it was the best phone call I made this month.
    Kim was able to answer my top concerned questions over the phone and she was able to meet me in Weaverville since I live up on a tall mountain in Mars Hill. The little grooming trailer is precious and very organized. I wasn't sure how my Layla would be, since she thinks the world revolves around her. The shave started out pretty smooth, Layla did like it. Once Kim was working on the small spaces, Layla started to get really REALLY aggravated. I felt Kim was gonna stop then and there, but she didn't. She finished the shave within 45 minutes and the last 30 minutes was Layla having a fit.
    We got home and she is one happy/cooled kitty.

  • I have used this vet several times and am generally pleased with my experiences here. Dr. Remsberg is a cat specialist and appears to have more authoritative knowledge of cats than other vets in the area who treat a variety of pet species. Staff at the clinic have been courteous and strived to be helpful. The clinic building is equipped with individual examination rooms where pet and owner can wait and where the exam/procedures are administered. The common waiting area is small, but I have not had to wait there with my pet for more than a few minutes before being taken to a private exam room. I plan to continue to use the veterinarian practice in the future because I believe they have provided quality care of and advice about my pet. Here are a few concerns: * On couple occasions the practice was busy, and I wondered if my pet was receiving the full attention of the vet during the visit. * On my prior visit, the exam room was not clean. The floor needed a good sweep and mop. * The clinic has been good about calling with a report of tests (e.g., blood, urine). But last time the call was made by an assistant who was unable to answer my questions about the results and their meaning. The assistant went to the vet to relay the question and retrieve the answer. My impression was that the information was garbled in this process. I would much prefer to speak with the vet directly. A call back would be preferable to relaying information through the assistant.
