    I am amazed at the quality of service and ease of purchase at OBX Chevrolet, Buick. I purchased a previously owned Dodge Nitro from Bob Kakretz which was serviced by Mike and his knowledgeable and certified team, and Dianna and her amazing artists in the body shop. Terrific! Courtesy and willingness to please abounds. Mark, the general manager, has done an incredible job of turning this dealership around. I wouldn't imagine any reason why my family and I would entertain going elsewhere. I sound their praises to anyone who would listen.

    I had a 9AM appointment, they got the car in immediately, finished all work, and I was on my way by 9:30.  Car was very clean after the work was completed.  I'll use Herky Miller Automotive on a regular basis for all my auto repairs.

    I have had bad luck both with the service department and the sales manager. I used to own a Buick Rainer. I took it in for a check engine light. They said it was a bad "something" (I blocked it out) and charged me $400.00. Three days later the check engine light was on again. Brought it in. They said the unit they replaced three days earlier was bad again. Charged me another $400.00. How can the part go bad within 3 days? And why didn't they stand behind their work? They said it was a design problem and the unit was placed too low and got wet. Come on! Buick designed an SUV that can't be driven in the rain? Second issue..Then I received a letter asking me to come in because they wanted to buy my Rainer. I went in and they gave me a written offer for $11,000.00. I went elsewhere and bought a car. Within a week I returned to OBX Chevy, written offer in hand, which stated "offer good for one week", and told them I wanted to sell. Then they said the Rainer had to be re-appraised by the sales manager because it may have depreciated. OK, how much can an SUV depreciate in less then a week. Answer, $1500.00. New offer was $9,500.00 and that was after I argued. Initial offer was $9,000.00.

    I brought in two cars for oil/filter changes (Jeep and Subaru) at different times. First was the Jeep. They told me I also needed a transmission flush because "it looked like the fluid was never changed". Without thinking I said OK. When I got home I checked my past receipts and found a Trans flush was done 5000 miles ago by another mechanic. I guess I was the one flushed. Took the Subaru in and was told it needed a new air filter and the throttle body needed cleaning ($150) plus the oil needed changing in the two differentials. 4x4 service was an additional $250. My $30 oil change was becoming a $430 bill. I said no because I knew these services were performed by my Subaru dealer 15,000 miles ago (for less). The manufacturer and the dealer recommend these services only every 30,000 miles. look out for "add-ons".

    Subsequent to clearing the codes, the car shifted fine. However, Euro Auotworks warned that the problem would probably return. We're waiting. We've used Euro Autoworks for routine maintenance as well as for some significant repairs to both of our cars. The work has always been done on time and we've never had to return a car for re-work.

    It was no problem as we took the car in the night before and left the key in a slot in the door. As we had no Toyota dealer in our area, we asked him to check it out and he did whatever needed to be done to correct the problem. I picked the car up the next day.

    Dealer replaced our a/c compressor (#4), first time this dealer did the work was in March 2013, part failed in August.  I had to get Geico involved to get them to honor the warranty on the Chrysler factory part, then after claiming that they didn't have the part that was overnighted to them for several days, had to get Geico involved again to get them to magically find the part.  They did the work and told me that I had to pay $436 before picking up the vehicle, this was again a warranty repair between them and Geico.  I asked to speak to the manager, he was not in, asked to speak to the president, he was also not in.  After again calling Geico, we again magically got the president on the phone and were told that we were being abusive to his employee and the only way we would get the vehicle back was to pay in cash, that they would not accept Geico's check anymore.  We then went to pay for the repair as we were uncomfortable leaving the vehicle there overnight and were told we couldn't use a credit or debit card, only cash.  We were then forced to go get cash from an ATM and race back to the dealership prior to closing.  Then when we arrive at the lot to pickup with cash, we are not allowed to take our vehicle without a mechanic inserting his opinion about the situation and acting as though we were going to attack them.
    Completely unprofessional from the bottom to the top, if the people that you are forced to deal with on the phone were able to give any info it would be a great help, also we were told that the service manager informed us up front we would have to pay, I never had any conversation with Harvey, we have never spoken.  The girl at the desk said I cussed her out to her boss, I cussed out nobody, I was very frustrated yes, but did not attack an employee.  When my wife asked how I attacked her, she said that was not what she said, but apparently that was what she told her boss.
