I trust ALL the docs with my beloved dogs, two of which Dr. B has helped to the Rainbow Bridge because of untreatable cancers. He has always been so kind and wonderful, as are his wife, Dr. A, and their associate Dr. G. Dr. B. fixed my Keeshonds patella surgically a decade ago, and changed her life! Dr. G diagnosed my German Shepherd with a puzzling digestive ailment that the CVS vets couldn't dia...

Our current dog is 4 and 1/2 years old and we have been going to them for 4 and 1/2 years. We've had miscellaneous problems, no accidental injuries or anything, but the dog has had some sickness and has required surgery they recommended. There's been miscellaneous things and we've taken her to them. They are fantastic, caring people and the facility is nice and clean. After the referral service fo...

We have been using Hopkins Road Animal Hospital since 2010. They have helped us care for 3 fairly healthy dogs and 2 rescues who were very sick. They have done everything from general wellness checks to surgical procedures on our dogs. They are by far the best veterinarians we have ever had!

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
We bought our boxer to them when she unexpectedly collapsed at home. Unfortunately by the time we got there, our beloved Roxy was already gone. Ashley moved us into a private exam room and allowed us to spend some time with Roxy and to come to terms with what had just happened. Barry also came in and offered his condolences. The entire staff was so compassionate and caring.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR BELOVED PET HERE!

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
It more like what didnt the provider do. I have a senior dog who had a serious accident that needed vet care, my husband called to get our dog there and they told him they were too busy. This accident occured well before the closing time. This was try number one. After our dog received his treatment partial tail amputation, he began to bleed from the stump, steady drip. It was 2 :00 pm so I called to see if I could bring him in since he was bleeding and I couldnt get it to stop and they are less than a mile from our new house. I was told by the office staff that they could not see us until 5 pm. I explained that he was actively bleeding and needed attention now . I also explained that I am a medical professional and this needed attention. The staff member said, we will see you at 5. I hung up and drove 30minutes to the areas best vets North Elm Animal hospital and he has actually popped a stitch and required sedation and wound exploration and debridement. Something that could not wait until 5pm. I then called Hopkins Animal store I cannot call it a hospital- and spoke with the office manager and and voiced the above complaint and I was informed that one the MD's would call me back and discuss. Its now July 2014 and no call.

Dr. Hopkins was exceptional in her bedside manner and care. She was sympathetic, yet didn't sugarcoat anything, which I really appreciated, because there was a possibility that my cat had a mass in his gum that may or may not have been cancer. Thankfully, several weeks of antibiotics took care of it. When we took him in for surgery, his canine tooth had already fallen out the day before, but a cou...

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
My 13 year old cat had a loose canine tooth that was sideways in his mouth causing him a lot of pain. We took him in without ever being there or having an appointment, and we were quickly seen. Dr. Hopkins examined his mouth and determined that the tooth needed to be removed and he needed to be on antibiotics to treat a gum infection. We scheduled surgery for two days later.
