Don Guldin General Contracting Residential (GCR)
Excellent! Don was very easy to work with, completely honest and straight up front at all times. I couldn't be more pleased with the final walk through. My home is even better than it was. Work was done with even the smallest details taken care of with excellence. Top quality work and attention to details.

    Carters Coastal Property Maintenance
The owner of the company and two laborers came out to the jobsite to perform the work. Nobody knew what they were doing they put up the siding wrong they did not totally wrap the house wrap around entire house they used to small of pieces that dont meet code they install the vinyl boxes for the exterior lights and electrical boxes improperly with exposed hot wires . vinyl was not lapsed properly final was not secured to the wall properly they used the nails for the aluminum trim to nail vinyl siding to the Wall J channel was not done properly with rain tabs vinyl siding did not have enough nails in most of the pieces some pieces had absolutely no nails in it. Some J channel was not mailed at all there are over 20 other things that were wrong with the house that I dont have time to go over they said that they would fix it to my satisfaction they walked off the job with 3/4 of the front of the house exposed to rain and then threaten to put a lien on my house if I didnt pay them in full

Don Guldin General Contracting Residential (GCR)
Creativity appears to me to be Don Guldins greatest talent; and Im not referring to construction! More than 40 times he made purchases from Lowes and requested cash-back in the amount of $40; and he baptized, as materials, all of those purchases including the cash, and charged them to me. When it comes to tools, he likes lots of them...he purchased jig and skill saws, a drill and bits, a router, levels, grinder, trowel, staple and caulk guns, a ladder, flashlight, etc. When one shops, for tools, one must have snacks and drinks and one must look good while shopping so he stopped in at Simpson Brothers and purchased himself a pair of boots and a belt for $150. Yes, you got it...he charged it all to me as materials! This is a condensed version of my experience with Don Guldin. If you are interested in more of the story, contact me and I will be pleased to show you the quality of the work he accepted from his subcontractors and his own staff. You can also review documents he filed against me when I refused to pay him the final $25,000 he said I owed him that the court ruled (he selected a trial by jury) I did not have to pay. Would I recommend Don Guldin as a General Contractor? Not in this lifetime! I consider this activity to be theft prosecutable through the Criminal Court System, but our District Attorney does not. What do you think? JACOBS CONSTRUCTION INC
Mr Jacobs was not the lowest or the highest bid that  I received. He was fair and professional. He returns calls which seems to be a big problem with businesses these days. He came out looked over area, listened to what I was looking for even though I didn't have a clear picture. He made suggestions and offered reasonable alternatives. Work was completed in a reasonable amount of time. The workers were respectful and cleaned up after each day.

    Darryl Jones Masonry
Brick mason is very unprofessional, asked for money during the entire job when job was not complete. Cleaned up very little behind himself, trash left on my property. Very rude, spoke very ugly to me, he told me he came to my property to clean up so when I got home that day there was still bricks, concrete, and debris every where that he had not picked up. I contacted him and gave him the chance to clean up my property and he refused. I had to pay additional money to my contactor to clean up the mess the brick mason made, something he should have done and was already paid for. I called him after my contractor was paid to clean up the his mess and he refused to pay the contractor the expenses I received because of him and told me he was finished with me. Would not recommend him for any brick work. Some of the brick work he did on my side walk was not even in a straight line.

    St Thomas Custom Homes
On or about Janurary 2012 only 1 month aftering moving in I notice th floor statring to separate and buckling in the front corner of the office area and I started to walk around and outside of the door I notice the floor separating there too.  I called the General Contractor Mr. Steve Thomas to have his floor guy come over and conduct repairs.  They came over repaired the floor.  Tony the floor guy remove the bases shoe molding and floor board.  The problem with the job is that they replace the base board cracked in half the wood the laid was not stained and left without telling anyone that was home at the time.  I had one certified flooring specialist and a home inspector come and evaulate the floor and there recommendation was total floor replacement.  Bottom line been in the house for nine months and the wood floor has dried (shrank) and I have above average gaps on 80% of the floor.  Steps of event:
    1. Floor got wet during 2011 huricane
    2. The wood floor was installed to earlier in construction process
    3. The wood was never acclimated to the living conditions
    4. The floor was installed wrong even if the above was followed.  The floor guy start at one end of the house and work there way to the opposing wall creating the boards to have a bowed effected when looking down them.

I have been trying to contact him since feb 2012 without luck until july 2012 when he recieved the inspection report. The builder is not replacing the floor but he has extend his hand to replace b the boards that need it.  My question since the boards has shrank how are they going to match and how is the stain going to match the orignal stain.  His my floor guy can make it right!  It a easy fix.  How can he say it is a easy fix when the builder has never came out to look at my floor.  I am still battling this issue and my home warranty runs out Nov 2012.  I will never refer this builder to anyone!

    JOHN CUTLER BUILDER LLC
They were awesome. They definitely placed the priority on building the house correctly. They paid attention to small details. They want to give the best product to their client and I liked the completeness of their work. They built me a quality home; they used quality material, got all the right things, and used no shortcuts. They kept me in the loop with things that were happening. Anytime I had questions about anything that was going on with the house they generally had an answer, even before I asked the question. Sometimes they were telling me the stuff, before I got a chance to call them and ask. I would use them again in the future.

    Executive Construction
    He did an excellent job.

Edit 8/16/13: Less than a year later, the roof was leaking again. I called and texted him but he never responded. Asking around the neighborhood, I heard he moved to California.

It was fantastic. Very professional and knowledgeable crew. Replacement of shingles were great and matched the orginial shingles already on house. The Fascia was fixed and bent to the precise size. M home was one again safe from the elements.

    Town And Country Building Company
The owner of the company did try to address my concerns but it just wasn't possible to fix some of the problems which were built into the house.  In the meantime the wear and tear on the floors, door and my furniture, not to mention me having to re-clean the entire house due to heavy drywall dust countless times was totally stressful and unsatisfactory.
