    Dr. Mark Peacock
Dr. Peacock's receptionist was very friendly and helpful with scheduling the appointment and making sure Dr. Peacock was an in network provider with my new insurance carrier.  Upon arrival at the office there was a delay to see the doctor, but he is very thorough in his examinations and very good at explaining medical topics.  The exam was as positive an experience as could be expected.  I had no issues with insurance billing.

    Dr. Mark Peacock
Dr. Peacock and his team oversaw my care during my second pregnancy and have continued to provide annual services since then.  Dr. Peacock is a terrific provider who really believes in women's right to direct their own care given proper information.  He doesn't have any preconceived notions about what you should or shouldn't do, and takes his cues from the patient.

She is a very professional person. I went to her for several years. She is very opinionated. She will listen to the patient but she won't take anything that they say as concrete. She thinks that because your not a doctor, you don't know what you're talking about. She has a chip on her shoulder and she is argumentative. She always had an office visit with you after the physical and that was nice. She was always very defensive. I've never met anyone like that. The experience was frustrating.

There seemed to be a lot of turn-over with the office staff and billing department. There was some confusion regarding an account in billing. The doctors seemed in a hurry. They did answer all of our questions, but they seemed frustrated with us asking so much. They were always running behind as well. The only one we really like there was the nurse practitioner. I have chosen to stop going there and now see a different doctor because of these reasons.

    Charlotte Ob. Gyn. Associates
I saw the Physician Assistant Jane numerous times over the course of a year as I had difficulty getting in to see the doctor in a timely fashion. She sometimes didn't remember to review information from my last visit which caused me to remind her of what tests had been performed before. I lost confidence in her. Finally, when she suggested that I may need surgery, I saw Dr. Robert Wicker in follow up to discuss my diagnosis. At that visit he repeated a statement several times which offended me as well as displayed impatience when discussing my case. I left the practice immediately and sought treatment elsewhere.

I went to Dr. Bessent twice for yearly exams. Every time I went to the office, I waited for at least 20 minutes in the waiting room and the front desk staff was less than friendly. Yvette was conversational during the exam to the point of annoying. When I told her that I was not on formal birth control and not trying to conceive she asked sarcastically, "What are you, Mormon?!" It was quite strange but I just chalked it up to her being funny. So then, I did get pregnant and went to two appointments, I was really disappointed with her lack of bedside manner and information. The main thing that stuck out to me was that she told me that I did not need to take prenatal vitamins because the "American diet has everything it needs." What bothered me particularly about this, is that she never asked if I was a vegetarian or what kind of diet I had. I have never heard of anyone not recommending prenatals as a pregnancy supplement. I was due in July and she said sarcastically, "Ohhhhh noooo, you are going to be miserable this summer." What kind of comment is that? She seemed to be more interested in stomping around in her knee-length boots and acting silly than in her patients. After those first two prenatal appointments, I found a new doctor that I feel totally comfortable and who acts like a professional. Doctor Bessent just needs to learn to keep her mouth shut and be more helpful to her patients in the way that they need. After I switched doctors, I spoke with a number of people who said that she was horrible and I also heard that she is a a maniac in the delivery room. I am so happy that I went with my gut feeling and switched before it was too late.

Excellent. Dr. Sharaway is a fantastic doctor. He is extremely knowledgeable about women's health issues and stays up to date on current medical information. His bedside manner is superb. An excellent doctor to partner with.

They provide a good service there and will get you in to see another doctor if your regular doctor is not available. Overall, the staff is good and the follow-up care to my hysterectomy was good.
