    H2O Matic Irrigation & Landscaping
Rick and his crew were absolutely fantastic! We did a complete overhaul of our landscaping surrounding our house and added a French drain to fix some drainage issues within our yard. They were so easy to work with, very responsive and hard working. They answered any and all questions we had before and during the job including rearranging shrubs when we werent sure of their placement. We would choose this company again for any outdoor project.

Very well as a matter of fact two of our neighbors plan to use their services based on how our natural space turned out. Great people to work with and would absolutely recommend them. Certainly would use them again.

They did minimal regrading but damaged irrigation system, used damaged drip lines, never tested or redirected the irrigation system. Some areas died from lack of water even as other areas were so over-watered that they developed algae, which then made my dog ill. The leaks led to a $450 water bill in less than a month. Hydrangeas were mysteriously dying until we hired another company to look at the irrigation system and found leaks in the drip lines.

He comes out twice a year to winterize and then to turn the system on. He is wonderful. He was very professional, did everything, and did not skimp at all. He showed up on time, and explained everything very clearly. I was so grateful for his service.

They showed up and did the work as promised, then at the end, asked us who lived at our previous residence. We told them that we had just sold it but the sale had not completed it. They advised us that they had gone there on accident and taken down several of our plants. Turns out, they had taken down 1 large bush in the front yard of our old house and 5 of our bushes in the back yard. We were not happy, to say the least. The people that were buying our house only lived a few houses down and saw the damage before we did. Thankfully they were understanding. I had to stay on Brock to get these plants replaced, which he finally did. We understand that accidents happen and, in the end, he did make it somewhat right for that experience however the plants that he used as replacements were very small in comparison to what we had originally. We needed a lot of work done in our back yard and hired Brock and his team to do this project. The scope of work included: Drainage Install Irrigation Create a walking path Sod Slight leveling of one area Planting and some hardscaping Area of concern #1 - Drainage - Brock installed 2 drainage boxes and the piping to run water from our back yard to our front yard. The first drainage box is not draining at all. The second drainage box drains slightly to our front yard. There was a concern before sod was laid that additional drainage boxes should be installed based on the standing water I was noticing after rainstorms. This was not done. Instead, Brock tried to level out the surface and basically hope that the sod would take up the water. This is not happening. I reached out to him when our neighbor was not happy that excess water was running into her yard and our sod was completely under water in spots. He said that he would put us on the schedule to take a look at the drainage. He was fired before this would be rectified. If the issue would have been handled properly, before the sod was even laid down, this would not be an issue. We thought that we had the draining issue fixed when we adjusted the irrigation heads and I told Brock that I think we could hold off on adding the additional drainage. His response to me was to "stay off of that sod". I was very irritated by that. I told him that we are not on the sod unless it's to fix the sprinklers! We are trying to be good neighbors and make our neighbors happy after they asked Brock's team to look at the issue they were having. Our neighbor felt very disrespected by his crew. His crew said that they would have Brock call her and she say "do you want my number to give him" and he said "no." So exactly how was Brock going to call to make this right with my neighbor?!? All of this could have been avoided if he would have been MUCH more thorough with his job to begin with and done the job properly. It's not up to me to tell him what to do. I'm not a landscaper. I was trusting his lead. Area of concern #2 - Brock laid irrigation throughout the back yard. We currently have an irrigation panel in our garage that has wires coming out of it and the front panel never put back on. When the issue of excess water came up, Brock said that he had fixed the irrigation sprays. This was not true. Water was still going over to my neighbors yard on not 1 irrigation head, but 5. My husband had to go fix each one of these. On the other side of our yard, one irrigation head simply spewed water. Our other neighbor let us know that because it is in an area that we can not see when the irrigation is running. Obviously the system was not tested and corrected prior to them calling it complete. Area of concern #3 - Create a walking path. I wanted rectangular stones to go lay on the ground so that our neighbors would not have to walk on the grass to get to our back yard. The stones that are in our lawn were simply laid on top of the sod, instead of the sod being cut out, the stones placed on the ground with level sand underneath. Now, I have heavy stones on top of sopping wet sod which now has to be taken up to deal with our drainage issue. Area of concern #4 - Sod. Brock quoted $4700 for sod for our back yard. He assured me that he wouldn't feel comfortable laying sod in late june/july if we weren't putting in irrigation. He didn't lay sod until the middle of July. He had assured me that the sod would be delivered in two shipments - half on one day and half on another. When I came home on the first day, I expected to see half of my yard complete with sod. It was not. It was COMPLETELY obvious that he had misquoted his sod. I had no idea how he was going to make this right. In an effort to help him out, I had his team expand the planting beds with mulch so that not as much sod would be needed. I didn't have to do this and in retrospect, I should not have. Towards the end of the project he wanted charge me for the mulch! I was irate. I was making that adjustment to help his poor planning, NOT to incur more cost but in an effort to help him save money. I have NO idea how he would have handled the situation with sod. Area of concern #5 - Slight leveling of one area. This one done appropriately Area of concern #6 - Planting. We had just installed a pool. I told him that I didn't want things that flowered by the pool. Now, I have about 15 knock out roses all around my pool. I told him that I wanted big pink mulhy grasses in one area. What was planted was small grasses. I have no idea if it is the pink version that I wanted. He did not discuss with me what he was planting or where he was planting it until I came home one day and it was done. No weed control was put down underneath the planting bed, so now I have weeds and grass coming up through my mulch. I have several plants that are already dead and he would tell you that it is because I had him cut back on the watering time for our irrigation. That is not the case. These plants were dead BEFORE I had him reduce the watering time. I had him reduce the watering time because our sod was literally under water and our neighbor was NOT happy that our water run off was decaying into her sod. I also had a privacy bed installed. He originally quoted $4000 for this bed. To try to get the overall price down, he offered taking that bed down to $1000. I said it sounded like a good idea. Then we ended up with a nosy neighbor and I told Brock that, if needed, I would spend the extra money to line our entire fence line with trees. That's not what happened. He and I both agreed that it was a mixup in communication and that he would make it up with extra plants. He planted a few small plants up front and I ended up with a leftover tree from someone else's job but nowhere near a $3000 price difference. Area of concern #7 - Hardscaping. Brock was supposed to originally put in stone or brick around our front beds. In an effort to save money, I had him switch to the simple brown metal edging throughout. It did not end up reducing my bill at all. I paid Brock and his team over $29,000 between the front yard and the back yard. I constantly was told one thing but the work that was actually done was another. The reason I wanted Brock and his team off of my property is that at the end of it all, he wanted an additional $$$. I was done. He had been dragging out this project for over 2 months. I had to constantly stay on him. I had neighbors that were NOT happy and ended up with back yard that still has major issues. Ultimately, I think this job was too big for his team. I am a very understanding person but I'm very unhappy about the fact that I paid so much money and now am going to have to pay another provider to do the job that I thought Brock and his team would have done right the first time. Very disappointed. There were times that I was pleased with the progress - after all it was progress - but now at the end of it, my overall feeling is disappointment and frustration that my money did not fix the problems that I had and ultimately has cost me more.

Getting them on site was the biggest hurdle. They were supposed to start in early fall of 2016 but they delayed the start several times by a total of 12 weeks and it was the middle of winter before they started. Once they were here, the folks were nice and the quality was pretty good, not perfect but good. I would use them again and if they did a little better across the board the second time, I may recommend them.

CUP arrived right at 9am, the appointment time. He went over our system, turning on the water supply and checking all of the areas for leaks and damaged sprinkler heads. There were a couple of misplaced heads and a leak that was discovered. CUP explained how to work our system, set it up for irrigation and gave us some suggestions to make our system run better. We will be setting up another appointment with CUP to fix the leak and move a couple of sprinkler heads. We were very impressed with the work and professionalism that CUP gave on their call.

Good company. There's a consistent crew, so they get to know your property and its nuances. Very punctual and easy to get on their schedule, though I'd appreciate if they spent more time with the customer to explain what they're doing and ensure I'm happy with the results (in general, I have been).

Gabriel and Jesse came out and quickly located the source of the leak, dug down to it with very minimal damage to my lawn. They quickly fixed the leak, tested it and were wrapped up within 30 mins. Also, they came out the same day I called! I'm very pleased.

    Picture Perfect Landscape & Irrigation
Michael of Picture Perfect Landscaping did an outstanding job for us. He and his crew were on-time, courteous and did quality work. He advised us on final details and plant selection. Michael took care of the little details and stands behind his work. I would hire him again and recommend Picture Perfect Landscaping to others.
