Bruno Nascimento - Health & Life Insurance Broker
It went well.  Bruno helped me to find the right insurer, and he seemed honest enough.  He does seem to get a commission from the health insurance agency but he did seem to work for my benefit.  I would work with him again.

Their office is really clean. They have a bunch of staff on hand so you aren't waiting forever. They have stuff like my chart online so you can fill your prescriptions and they have an application that you can use as well. They are easy to get into. You can always get in that day or the next day. Everybody is great. They all are very nice. They are happy and have smiles. There is never any attitudes.

    Huntersville Pediatrics & Internal Medicine
They are just a great practice and they have got a lot of connections here in the area, a lot of referrals services they can give. They doctors are really good. I've found a lot of doctors there as well but they've been just as good. They tend to be a little busy.

This is my second "encounter" with PMC and as many of the local people will tell you this is not a place I wish to go to or place a loved one. I don't think the staff or Doctors are terribly bad. I believe the overall "culture" at PMC from the administration on down is not at a level to where patient care is their priority. I believe it's the "bottom line." Most nights and weekends, the floors are short on staff (they will tell you that) and the commitment to patient care is not at a level that we have found this year at another local hospital. Also, the communications between the Doctor and nurses, or the Doctors to the patient's family is not timely or thorough and it makes me concerned about the level of care. In my opinion, I will risk the extra 45 minutes to get to South Charlotte than put my loved one or myself through poor medical treatment.

Our Mother was seen in CMC Pineville ER and later admitted. Attending Physician was Dr Kamath. For over two weeks Dr. Kamath attempted to investigate the symptoms of the blood pressure issues and Orthostatic Hypo Tension. The communications between myself and Dr. Kamath over the two week period was excellent. The nursing staff on 2 East was excellent and met my expectations throughout the nights and weekends. I can tell this staff has a "commitment to patient care"and is in the "culture of this hospital." That being said, I was disappointed in the communications and care given to my Mother by some of the Occupation Therapy and Physical Therapy staff. I was very particular about being there for the sessions and who the personnel for those sessions were. This is a large facility, and with that being said there are a lot of different departments and management personnel .Dr. Kamath did much to try to understand my Mother's wishes and that of the family. From CMC Pineville, we took her to a Short Term Care facility with Rehab. In today's medical and political environment it's hard to find the right facility for your loved ones care. I suggest you think about where you wish to take them in a medical emergency or for short term and long term care BEFORE the needs arise. Talk as a family and have a plan in place before you need it.

The communication from the hospital was good. We received a packet of information and completed a lot of pre-work by phone. The meeting with the anesthesiologist was face to face and resulted in a more focused treatment plan during and after surgery. While my husband was in surgery, the waiting room personnel provided frequent updates. The only snafu was after surgery when it took a considerable period of time for my husband to be moved to a room. Presbyterian Huntersville is a busy suburban hospital that is often overbooked due to the preference of patients to be nearer their homes. After three hours, they finally found a room for my husband in the emergency section. (He needed a particular configuration that was available only in a few regular rooms and the emergency room area.) Overall, we would use this suburban hospital again for general surgery but would probably go to Presbyterian Charlotte for more complex procedures.

My wife and I visit CVS Pharmacy for all of our pharmacy needs. The pharmacists are always available and very knowledgeable. We have never had a problem with getting a prescriptions filled. They also have an automated system that calls you to notify you when your prescription is ready for pickup.
They also have many other products available at low prices and we are able to save a lot using their valuable coupons.

    Target Pharmacy
We go there because of the price and convenience because they are close. My wife usually goes there. We don’t have any problems at all with their communication and customer service. They are good. We would definitely use their services in the future too.

The pharmacists are very good. They always take the time to answer our questions. If there is a mix up in the prescription or if there is a problem, they resolve it for us. They are excellent over all. We have a program with them and this makes the price also excellent.

My son fell off his skateboard, hit his head and passed out. Even though he was wearing a helmet, we took him to the hospital since he fainted twice, had a slight bump on his forehead, and looked very pale. When we got to the emergency room, we checked in and explained the reason for our visit. The hospital is fairly new, the staff is quite friendly, and waiting room did not look overly crowded even thought it was a Friday evening. However, we proceeded to wait about 2 hours before they finally took us back to an exam room. Once we got into an exam room, the rest of the treatment was very good. My son saw the doctor, had xrays and a Catscan to rule out internal bleeding, and was discharged a couple hours later with instructions on what to do as follow-up to his concussion. Overall, the experience was fine except for the initial long wait in the beginning. We're not sure if other emergencies came in or it was just busy since it was a Friday night/weekend.
