ACrossover Roofing, LLCAfter five years of dealing with three leaking dormers, we by chance met Crossover’s Project Manager. This was an answer to prayers. He provided an estimate and then setup for Crossover’s highly trained and experienced Leaks and Repairs Supervisor, Chris Spurlock, to call us. Chris quickly called to set up a time to drop by our home to analyze the dormers. He carefully inspected the dormers and then explained why the dormers were leaking. Our dormers originally were covered with Masonite and later vinyl siding was added over the Masonite. Chris knew what was needed to permanently stop the leaks! He was friendly and provided feedback and updates on the repair work each day. His experience and knowledge of detecting leaks is superior. His professionalism is above approach. Ryan came out to provide us an estimated and was very thorough,, patient, and helpful. We got a total of 3 estimates, all form Angie's List - so they were all good. But we felt Crossover provided a very competitive price and provided a very through explanation of the service to be provided -plus was able to take on responsibility for replacing the previous siding next to our dormers, which were in significant need of replacement. They were so very helpful and flexible in establishing a schedule that worked for us. In actual performance, they were excellent, careful, and timely. ADeck Specialist & Outdoor LivingIn January, 2020 we contracted Deck Specialist to do a number of home improvement projects: dormer siding replacement, front door threshold replacement, painting a 3 story chimney, and garage door trim replacement. While Deck Specialist's company name does not suggest they are capable of remodeling / general contracting work, their work is excellent...and I am difficult to satisfy. Marlon quoted the project as fixed priced and stood by that quote even though they ran into a height issue reaching some of the work locations given our house has a walk out basement making the dormers higher than most ladders can reach. Marlon had to rent (for several days) a "cherry picker" lift machine. Tyler and Jeff literally spent a few hours moving the machine around the house being cautious not to damage the lawn given its weight and size. The job was completed on schedule, the team arrived on time each day and there were no missed days. The entire team is very professional; if I had a question or concern, it was immediately addressed. Like all construction projects, I had 2-3 punch list items that I wanted addressed after the job completion - the items were addressed immediately without waiting weeks of having to make numerous telephone calls as some contractors do. I would recommend Deck Specialist, Marlon, Tyler and Jeff, to all my friends and neighbors. They made this project go smoothly and we are 100% satisfied with the workmanship and value of our investment.- David B.

AIt was a great experience from start to finish. The estimate was provided quickly, the work was high quality, the cost exactly matched the estimate and the cleanup afterward was very meticulous. I was arranging this work for my parents' home in North Carolina. I was concerned because I was unable to be there as the work was completed. I needn't have worried. My father - a former contractor himself and pretty darn hard to please - was highly impressed. This really showed the value of Angie's List in pointing out strong, reputable and reliable contractors. I can't recommend Hearthside Home Exteriors strongly enough. I trusted them and you should too.

AOur roof cleaners discovered a "soft" spot in our roof and some cracked shingles. We finally located the water leaking into the ONLY tiny attic space - SO we hadn't seen any leak in the home yet. Kevin from Mabry came out so quickly, did a full inspection and very realistic assessment of the whole roofing system. It was evident that this was a repair project (UNinsured) rather than roof replacement. Several people on up to Mr. Mabry got involved in determining a realistic estimate and process, while informing us clearly of the UNknowns that would/could come up in the process and how we would deal with them and how they MIGHT price them. They ended up having to do all of those next steps - including rebuilding the whole skylight. We could NOT be happier with the process and the results. Full professional complete job.. Looks fantastic , finished quickly and a fair final price without undue surprises. Will call Mabry first on any future work. Would/Will recommend to anyone.

DRich the original owner who I've worked with on 2 previous roofs looks to be out of the business. I would keep an eye on the new guys. Called for roofing repair, and the guy, Paul, qoted me $200 over the phone without even looking at the issue. Then an affiliate shows up at the end of the day, (probably with the leftover caulk in the day's caulking guns) to bubble gum in loose shingle and stick out his hand for a quick 200. Not sure if your problem is solved are not, but I'm sure many are enchanted by the proposal up front that a mere 200 dollars will fix all your woes. I didn't buy it, I think the new guys are running a fast scam. I miss Rich.
