ACustom Construction & Renovations IncI used Custom Renovations, as well as Custom Electric for a major updating of my 1930s house in the Lindley Park area of Greensboro. The electrical work began 12/04/18, with the demolition starting 7/09/19. The job completion (with final walk-through) was 1/28/20. There were multiple aspects to the total job: attic insulation, floor refinishing, redoing of an old back porch (which involved raising my back roof line to raise my master bathroom's ceiling), adding a back deck, and painting the house's interior walls. Both bathrooms were updated, as well as my kitchen. In the process, all my old iron piping was upgraded as well. Custom Electric not only replaced all my old "knob & tube" wiring, but also placed additional wall outlets & smoke detectors to bring the house into current code compliance. The Custom employees (foreman, electrical, plumbing & carpentry), as well as the various contractors (painters, dry wall installers, tilers, insulators, & floor refinishers) employed by Custom were all very professional and did a great job. Chris S******, Custom's owner, was very accessible to answer any of my concerns & provided expert options to the many decisions (structural & electrical) that arose during the process. Christin G*********, my Custom design consultant, was invaluable in walking me through the many design decisions that confronted me: kitchen cabinet, sink, fixtures, tile & countertop selections, bathroom configurations, shower design, fixtures & sink selections, floor stains, etc. She assisted me in navigating the various suppliers of these items, and was patient and informative. During the whole project, I ended up asking Custom for 12 change orders, Some changes were necessitated by issues arising during the construction. Some changes were additions I just requested as the project moved along. From the beginning through to the end, both Chris & Christin were transparent about the project's costs. In summary, Custom did a very professional job and I would recommend them. I'm very pleased with my house's upgrades.- John P.

ADry Sky RoofingAfter meeting with a number of roofing companies I chose dry sky roofing. They were not only competitive but the most responsible group of contractors I have ever worked with. They were always patient and very professional quick response with every question that I ask. Great follow through and on the day the job began they were very prompt and had a project manager on site until the job is completed. I would highly recommend this company to anyone. ANeal-Williams Mold Remediator/General ContractorNeal-Williams Mold Remediation and General Contractors did an exceptional job in completing all of the tasks associated with my project. Professional, courteous, efficient and on time with reasonable pricing, Neal-Williams remodeled my bathroom, including completing the plumbing, repaired a hole in my roof, took down and reinstalled drywall that was contaminated with mold, built a platform to improve my accessibility to my couch and installed a vapor barrier system in my crawlspace. They stand by the quality of their work and it is obvious from the excellence of their work products that they take pride in all that they do. Usually I have found that working with construction crews can be frustrating, especially when they start a project and then disappear for days. I did NOT have this problem with Neal-Williams. The owner was in contact with me regularly and gave me accurate information regarding when the project would be completed. I will definitely hire Neal-Williams in the future if faced with a construction project that I want done right the first time. It was very easy to give this company 5 stars.- Casandra I.

AGood! I was contacted same day as I used your website, employee came to see me that afternoon. I had an estimate by the following morning. The work was completed a day later. So far no leaks! We have experienced several rain events since then. Neat job, as they had to remove and replace shingles and 2- flashings due a shortcut taken by precious roofers. When the job was completed it looked great. Everything was cleaned up after the job.

AAmazing!! From start to finish. It was a wonderful experience. Jesse, the sales rep helped on the front end, touched base during the install and then followed up after the job was done. The guys showed up and covered all the shrubs, pulled everything away from the house and got to work. They were actually done in one day! They did a fantastic job and didn’t even leave a trace that they had been here. The only thing that remained were smiles on our faces and a brand new roof! AIt was a great experience from start to finish. The estimate was provided quickly, the work was high quality, the cost exactly matched the estimate and the cleanup afterward was very meticulous. I was arranging this work for my parents' home in North Carolina. I was concerned because I was unable to be there as the work was completed. I needn't have worried. My father - a former contractor himself and pretty darn hard to please - was highly impressed. This really showed the value of Angie's List in pointing out strong, reputable and reliable contractors. AExcellent roofer a great guy. Terry showed up on time and was very informative, helpful and personable. he missed our first scheduled appointments because life came up. But he more then made it up by offering to repair our problem for free. I asked him lots of questions and he was more informative than the other roofers, he also quoted us a fair estimate, cheaper than another roofer.
