Falcone Crawl Space & Structural Repair
Received pictures of the crawl space, images of the humidity readings at various points, pictures of the pipes & wrapping, plus ground coverings. Also checked for evidence of wasps/bees, etc...and provided a checklist. Very professional service.

    Tar Heel Basement Systems
Josh, John & Bailey did an excellent job installing the system. Except for occasional construction sounds, you didn't know they were here. Work was completed as planned and to our satisfaction. From our first visit by Matt to completion, a very professional organization.

Falcone Crawl Space & Structural Repair
I did not use their services, but found that their price was competitive. My decision not to use their services should not be considered a mark against them as I chose to go with a general contractor because I decided to have other work done at the same time (painting, masonry, etc.) and he was able to handle all of the jobs within his company.

Tony and crew were great to work with. He was very personable and always available for questions before, during and after the process. He wrote up a contract on what was to be done and when. (always get a contract regardless of who it is) It also helped us understand the payment schedules needed. As work phases were finished we made only those payments. He even took me under the house to show me where there were concerns and explained what would be done to "stop" the lack of support or beef up existing structures. Things progress quickly once we agreed upon price and terms of SOW, some areas were not as bad as first estimated so we were able to find some cost savings in the initial cost estimate. Overall it was a good experience. Since the work has been completed, we updated our neighborhood newsletter recommending Structures by Design and would gladly use Tony again in any remodeling or new builds we might have in the near future.

    Disaster Mitigation & Restoration
The morning after my home was ruined by a tornado I hired Disaster Mitigation and Restoration to rebuild and repair. The first thing they did was walk through the home video taping the damage. Shortly thereafter they began removing the damaged contents and clearing the area for repairs. The salvaged contents of my home went to their climate controlled storage facility. I received a insurance estimate from my adjuster which stated what was covered and what was not going to be repaired under my policy. DMR worked with me to put it all back the right way. If something wasn't covered by insurance they either provided me what I found to be a very cost effective means of handling the issue or fixed it outright without question. I was left with the impression that they truly understood their work and the final product was the best advertising they could do. The most notable situation I recall dealt with a concrete patio that I had them pour. I had not had a patio prior to the tornado but figured I would pay DMR to install one since they were working on the house already. I visited the house after the patio was poured and was somewhat skeptical about the grading of the concrete away from the house. Patios need to direct water away from the house. I had worked in concrete before and though the grading wasn't the best job I accepted it as adequate and didn't mention any complaints to the DMR. A week later I visited the house and discovered a new patio had been poured. When I asked the builder what happened he said "I didn't like the grade so we did it again." Unbelievable! The original grade would have worked fine, he made it better.

I'm well-satisfied with the job they were hired to do, but huge problems arose when they unknowingly drilled into my sewer line, collapsing it and causing raw sewage to flood my basement days later. They refuse to accept responsibility for what eventually cost me $2,631 to repair. It's come down to a dispute over whether I should have hired a sewer line locater service once it was determined the water line to my house was in the vicinity of their work. But my wife offered to hire the locater service when the job foreman informed her of the water line and he declined, telling her he thought they'd be okay! Therefore, we feel they waived any liability limitations in their contract and assumed the responsibility for any consequences of going forward. We certainly felt entitled to rely on the experience and expertise of the job foreman, but had to pay for his error in judgment! (BTW, the sewer line was directly beneath the water line, about 7 or 8 inches below.)

I am not a happy camper about this service. This review is asking for photos. He did not provide any.
