    Dudley DoRight Home Improvements, LLC
started out ok but failed to show up before noon on many days, stretched out a project that should have taken a week to almost 3 weeks not half way done-- complained about how to paint the walls and used the wrong base that had to be removed by the painter who finished the project-- was told I could pay in full at the end then suddenly quit after 3 weeks demanding $800! If he had finished the job timely I would have paid him that week. I felt uncomfortable with his attitude and slowness and fired him. I paid him what he wanted up to that point which was TOO MUCH just to get him off my property. Had to hire a painter and plumber but ended up saving 500 from Dudley do Right's over priced quote.

    Poarchs Roofing LLC
We had a tough time trying to determine how to build out a space in our commercial building in order to provide customers a new product offering. Our struggle was the available building height and making sure the structural supports would allow for the aerial aesthetics we desired. We worked with one of Porches field teams on the conceptual development one afternoon and they built out the space with a modern appeal that allowed for not only a great customer experience, but an overall improvement to the value of the building.

They were on time. Walked through with me prior to starting to make sure we both agreed on the job to be done. When finished they cleaned really well and walked back through to make sure I was satisfied.

    Professional Remodeling & Repair Services

Professional Remodeling and Repair was one of 4 companies that we obtained an estimate from for a new roof on our home due to hail and wind damage.  The owner of Professional Remodeling was the only one out of the 4 that actually took the time to speak to me about the estimate instead of just speaking with my husband.  The estimate was more than the other 3 but they did have more items on the estimate that needed repair such as the siding on the dormers.  They were very patient educating me about the things that I had questions about during the repair work and regularly asked me if I was satisfied with the work being done.  One of the things that impressed me most about them was the fact that I paid what was quoted even though they went above and beyond the work listed on the estimate.  In fact, while they were there, I had some crown modeling lying around that my husband kept telling me he was going to install and never got around to doing it which they installed for me.  They also noticed that I was had a problem with one of my garage doors that they fixed as well.  The entire crew was professional, knowledgeable, and personable.  I was very satisfied with all the repairs that they made to my home.  I will being using Professional Remodeling and Repair on another upcoming project (an unfinished addition) and will recommend them to friends and family.

    Repipe Specialists Inc
These guys are true professional and specialists in their field.  After getting quotes from a couple large plumbing companies about replacing my water pipes, I found Repipe Specialists.  When the first two plumbing guys looked at the job they seemed uncertain about details such as where they would tie-in and whether they would be able to provide the hose bibs I wanted to add around the exterior.  Both bathrooms had ceramic tile in the shower surrounds and they were certain that they would not be able to preserve the tile.  Neither of them were willing to repair the damage caused by their work.   I would have to find someone else to repair the stucco and drywall after they were done.  Both quotes were in the $12-14K range.
In stark contrast, the gentleman that came out from Repipe Specialists was quick to see what needed to be done on their end.  I asked about the hose bibs; "No problem".  "Can you run an extra line to the rear of the house for future sprinklers?"  "No problem".   "Do you think you can save our ceramic tile in the showers?"  "No problem."  "What about the stucco and drywall repairs?"  "We have a team that comes in after the inspection and takes care of all the repairs."  He sat down with us and educated us on the entire repipe process including the options for materials and their standards of workmanship from a binder full of pictures and illustrations.   We were shocked that their quote was thousands of dollars less than those from the large pluming companies.  We immediately signed with them.
They arrived promptly at the time scheduled with a crew of seven men.   After a quick walk-though to scope out the job, they launched into a flurry of activity.  The first thing they did was to lay protective sheets on all the floors and hang plastic sheeting over all the furniture in the work areas.   Each man had a specific area to work in: one in each bath, one in the kitchen, one in the garage hooking up the laundry, one digging  a trench from the street to the house, one working on the outside bibs and tie-ins and one guy assembling pipe in the attic to supply all the areas.  They were all very polite and eager to please whenever I had a question.  I couldn't believe they completed the entire job and were nearly finished cleaning up in only 7 HOURS!  And, our ceramic tile was saved!
The inspector arrived the following day was very impressed with the quality of their work.   As promised, the Repipe Specialists repair team showed up the following day and repaired all the stucco and drywall.
Bottom line...don't even think about using a regular plumber for a complete repiping job.  Repipe Specialists are the real deal...Quick. Clean,, High quality material and workmanship at an extremely reasonable price!

CertaPro Painters of Hickory & Catawba Valley
Phyllis and Harold came over to complete estimation and color consultation - both were extremely helpful and responsive. They were even able to recommend someone to complete some additional work to complete my bathroom upgrade. Workers showed up on-time and completed work on schedule. They patched any areas on my walls that needed it and sanded/primed my cabinets as well. Paint is even and looks great!

    Williams Paint & Pressure Washing
Arrived in timely manner.  It took 1 1/2 days to remove wallpaper.  They cleaned up all removed materials and patched/sanded walls where damaged.  They painted all walls on the 2nd day using one coat of same brand and color of paint.  All floors and fixtures were protected from paint spills and where necessary cleaned of any dropped paint. They removed all wallpaper and painting materials and wiped up dust from floors.  The finished product looks great.  The ceiling paint lines are straight and no paint on molding.  All walls from removed wallpaper are clean and smooth.  Stayed until 8pm on 2nd day to complete job.

    TCB Construction Services

They did a fantastic job and were very thorough in their work ethic.  Matthew and his team are very professional, courteous and take pride in their work, which is sometimes hard to find.  This is the second project they have completed at my home.  I just cant say enough about what they do to make you happy and go the extra mile, even on things that need attention and are not even in the quote when asked to take care of.  They simply just do the little extras without judgment.  I would highly recommend them for any project at the present time.

Regarding the previous review, I had no problems on Matthew getting back to me on the revised initial quote in a timely manner.  He was very prompt and adjusted all areas as requested to meet my budget.

    TCB Construction Services

Mathew and his crew did an awesome job in replacing the rotted Vertical board that ran along my roof and front porch as well as replacing my rotted columns as well.  Mathew and his crew arrived on time every day and also asked if they could also arrive earlier than what I had stated as they want to put in as much time as needed to complete the work in a timely and efficient manner.

Regarding the work, they made precision cuts every time and applied silicone or some type of putty over any holes where they used nails to fasten the Hardy Board to the house.  They also replaced four vertical columns for my porch and did a magnificent job.  They were installed perfectly with no issues at all.  They had put silicone in the flutes where they ran into the base and painted accordingly with the upmost care.  I had them take care of some protruding wood knots from some 1x10s that kept surrounded my porch that were coming through the paint.  They applied 4 coats of Kilz to fix that and then painted all the vertical board and columns accordingly.  I had another contractor that gave up on that issue and told me that I had to deal with it as there was nothing he could do.  Mathew and his team made it happen.

I am now requesting another quote for additional work to be done inside regarding a Folding door closet that will hide our washer and dryer as well as some sheet rock work that is needed in one of our bedrooms.

To comment on a previous customers review where she had given a TCB construction a very bad commentary and grade amazes my wife and I.  The both of us cannot believe the level of professionalism and high quality of work that was done at our home.  We plan to use Mathew and his crew for the future projects of our home.

    Sincerely,

    Steve

    Chip Miller Home Improvements
Chip Miller Home Improvements is very personable. He seemed very nice and pleasant. He's clean but I wouldn't use him again. He said he would fix certain things on my drywall and then when it came down to doing it I had to go back and point it out and he said, we would fix it, then I had to go over with my husband on a Saturday and stand and wait for him to fix it. He said, okay, do you see anything else? He acted like he was just ready to get out of there and he didn't do what he said he was going to do. We don't feel like we got our money's worth. I've had several other contractors come in for remodeling and I've used two or three other people and I would not have Chip Miller back. I want people to understand maybe Chip Miller would work out for some people but what I had him in there for, I just think I paid too much for what I got. When he actually got in there, he just skipped around and what really upset me with him was the painting. After he fixed the drywall and the ceiling, I had had popcorn ceiling taken down, I wanted him to smooth them out, fix it, mud them and sand them, there were places on the ceiling that were never fixed. I had him paint, I bought the paint and I asked him what paint he wanted, he used it and whenever he rolls the paint on the ceiling, they're supposed to come back with the brush down one or two inches on the wall and hit it with the brush so when it drips, it doesn't dry as a drip on the wall and he didn't cut in around the ceiling, he just rolled it. You can see roller marks four or five inches down my wall and he didn't wipe any of the drips off. When I got in there to do the wall and climbed up on the ladder and got ready to cut in the wall to do my line along the ceiling, there were drips everywhere and by then you can't get that off. You can't sand that off the wall, I know, I tried. I had read on his other reviews that he had taken wallpaper down and he had done a good job. I asked him when he got ready to paint the ceiling, are you going to cut in when you do the ceiling or do you want me to cut in when I do the wall? He said, whoever does the ceiling first usually comes down and inter-tube. I thought, that's fine but I didn't expect him just to roll it on and just leave it, that was very disappointing and I could never get the streaks, you can stand on one side of the room and look across the ceiling and there was streak in it. He repainted a room for me to try to get the streaks out, I said, in this room, the walls are all white and I'm doing the ceiling a real light sky blue. I said, I'll buy you another gallon of paint and he said, that'll be added to your quote to put another coat on there. I said whatever it takes, this ceiling has got to be painted again. I'll pay you more to do the ceiling and do you want me to buy another gallon of paint? He said, no I think I've got enough. There was a little bit in that can and I came to find out later, he had taken that little bit of blue, quarter of a can of blue and mix it with white to get enough to put a quick coat on that ceiling, he made a different color. When I went back in there to touch it up and open the can, it wasn't what the label was on the outside of the sample that was on the top of the can lid, you could see where he had mixed white on it. If they are willing to stand and watch him, it's okay. There was so much dust going on from the sanding and I truly thought he had it under control.
