    Rite Aid Pharmacy
They are excellent. They're very helpful. I went in to buy vitamins and I could ask the pharmacy questions and they helped me. They are very good and their prices are excellent. They're diversified. They have a lot of different things in their store, besides medicines.

    CVS Pharmacy
My prescription was called in at 1 o' clock. I went to pick up my prescription because she said, "It will be ready for you." I was already in pain. So, I go there and I wait and I wait and I wait and people keep coming in. They only have one pharmacist working and one helper at the cash register. I was looking at the watch at the last stop light on the road before my house. It was 7 pm. The last time I was in the CVS at Hendersonville, which is a subsidiary, it was the same thing. You wait. They do good work.

It went very well. The hospital called the next day to check on him. From beginning to end, their service was excellent. They were very professional and operating very much on time. The nurses, doctor, anesthesiologist, and everyone else involved were perfect. We could not have had a better experience.

    INGLES PHARMACY
I would give them triple A-plus. The pharmacists there are very knowledgeable. They call you by your first name. They recognize you when you walk into the store. The entire store is that way. When my partner went in after his doctor visit, he was feeling tired and exhausted and he sat down for a minutes and one of the pharmacists assistant came out and asked if he was alright, asked if they could do anything for him, asked if he needed any kind of assistance and the cashier’s offered to have the food or our stuff taken out and put it into our car for us. The entire staff is extremely pleasant. They don’t have an attitude. They open the door for you and they do nice things for you and when you are elderly that means a lot, and when you don’t feel good, it means a lot. They provide carry-out service and you are not allowed to tip them. It is just a nice store to go and visit. They have these reward programs, like for every dollar you spend, you get a point and you accumulate them for your gas purchase. Last month, we bought gas for $1.69 a gallon and I find that option really good. We actually save 11 gallons, and that saves elder people on social security a lot of money. The store is very clean. They have a lot of vegetables from the farmers locally. In fact they have local farms that buy from and they also own and operate the stalls.

    Park Ridge Hospital
Emergency room visit. Were seen promptly and all the on call doctors and other providers we needed were also prompt, friendly and professional. Nurses seemed genuinely concerned and made a difficult situation bearable. Wouldn't hesitate to go there again if God forbis, something else were to happen.

    Margaret R Pardee Memorial Hospital

The whole hospital, billing, surgery, pre- surgery, doctors- it was a bad experience from beginning to end. I last went there in December 28, 2012. It was terrible! They insisted that I was another patient. I was there for surgery and they did not know why I was there. They did not even know who my doctor was, they did not know anything about it. They even came up to me in 'pre- op', and asked me who I was and what I was doing there and who was my doctor. They were about to put me under and did not even know who I was. I let them know what I needed done. I would not let them put me out until I spoke with my surgeon. Then when I came back to have my staples removed, they had me confused with another patient. I was having my medicine drip pump replaced after seven years because the battery dies after seven years and you have to have it replaced. She said "Give me a minute and we will gill you with morphine", I said "I am not here to get morphine, I'm just here to get my staples out"! She said "Well, who are you"? It was from billing to the operating room, then the recovery time- my mother was waiting on me after  the operation and they kept telling my mother that they had ran into complications and I was into quarantine. Then afterwards they said "Oh that never happened"!

I don't remember a thing until four days later when I woke up to find a man in a suit in my room wanting money.  I did not even know if I had a purse let alone any clothing.  He demanded $540 as he said that he had contacted my insurance company and that was the co-pay.  I was drugged and in shock.  He left.  I got dressed and as soon as I saw the doctor within two hours, I came home.  I felt that these financial matters should have been handled byand between my husband and the hospital.  It was not the money, it was the callousness of the matter.

Emergency room personnel and team were very efficient.  I was in pain and they did what was necessary to keep me as comfortable as possible.  Exchange from Emergency to hospital was efficient.  Awaiting surgery (24 hours) was uncomfortable - as to be expected.  Nurse care during the day was excellent.  Sleeping was difficult between pain and constant monitoring, but I think that goes with the condition.  I went home two days after surgery.  Communication on the check out time and requirements for mobility was lacking.  All in all not bad, but I would have preferred better, clearer communication on expectations once at home.  Currently recovering nicely.

I'v e had health insurance with BCBS for over 12 years. I've rarely had to call a representative but had no problem getting through and having my questions answered. Most information is readily available online and claims are paid in a timely manner.

    United Health Care
Overall we have had no major difficulties all these years.  When there have been issues, staff have helped resolve them.  The biggest problem we have is with the medical provider billing staff and their lack of knowledge on how to submit claims to United Health Care.
