The PA Jeremy told me to put lotion on it. I went back six months later because the bump was growing becoming painful. He again told me to put lotion on it and not to worry because it was just a cyst. I was not happy about that so I went to Advanced Dermatology. They did a biopsy and found ot was a swuamous cell cancer and scheduled surgery to remove it.

It's important to know that Park Ridge Dermatology has a new physician, Dr. Seth Cohen.  He recently moved to Hendersonville from Florida.  All I can say is I am so glad he did.  Dr. Cohen is one of the finest physicians I've ever known.  He's very thorough.  He explains things in a way which is easy to understand.  More importantly, he takes the time to "explain things" - when fewer and fewer physicians will do this.
The evaluation revealed I had a skin cancer.  Dr. Cohen uses conservative treatments whenever possible.  He recommended a topical ointment which he felt quite sure would eradicate the cancer.  The treatment is ongoing and progressing nicely.  I have every confidence the cancer will be taken care of ... in the most "patient friendly" manner possible.
And that's the thing I really want to emphasize about Dr. Cohen.  He is the most "patient oriented" physician I've ever known.  By that I mean he shows concern for the patient at all times ... by carefully listening and responding to questions ... by making sure you understand what he is saying ... by showing patient respect ... and by making sure you are satisfied with the medical services he provides.  I've known few physicians who take such a sincere, dedicated interest in their patient's welfare.
I feel so fortunate I decided to see Dr. Cohen.  He's easily in the top 10 percent of ALL physicians I've ever seen.
He has my very highest recommendation.

My first two visits with Dr. Zivony were excellent.  There was no waiting and he removed the cancer.  The second cancer that was right next to the first might have been a carryover from the first surgery.  I had an appointment with Dr Zivony as a followup, six months after my second surgery.  When I arrived at his office and checked in, they had no record of my appointment.  I showed them my appointment card and they worked me in.  Dr. Zivony did see me but I felt like I was being rushed through which was not the case in my other visits.  I don't plan to use him again because I don't think the first cancer was removed completely and then getting to his office and them not having a record of my scheduled appointment.

The office and waiting room are clean, neat, and friendly. My visit was quick: a short visual skin scan and brief discussion of an ongoing issue. Medication was prescribed to treat the condition. Dr. Swick was informative and friendly although it was a very brief visit. No time for small talk!!

The staff was fantastic!! They treated us with kindness and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. They ran multiple tests to make sure my husband didn't leave without knowing what the problem was and made sure he was comfortable.

I had knee surgery several years ago on my right knee at Pardee.  It went great!  The anesthesiologist did exactly as I asked and used epidural only, no other drugs.  I was wide awake and feeling great when I was wheeled out of surgery.  I never once felt bad, groggy, or sick.  There was some pain for a while, which I expected, but I did take some pain-killers.  Pardee held a pre-surgery group session so we would know what to expect and what equipment we would need as we recovered and even covered exercises to do in preparation for the surgery.  They had group rehab therapy sessions after the surgery which was wonderful.  Pardee counted my 3 days in the hospital as in-patient (I was still on IV) so that I qualified for in-patient rehab for 3 weeks.  This made a HUGE difference!
Park Ridge Hospital failed on all counts.  When I had the second knee surgery on my left knee in October 2013, it was completely different, despite everything else being identical - only the hospital was different (I am still not healed and have just started getting out-patient therapy for pain and restricted movement).  Park Ridge provided no pre-surgery guidance like Pardee did; I would have had no idea what I needed at home if I had not had the prior surgery at Pardee.
Park Ridge Hosp provided no post surgery rehab; walking 8 steps in the hall one time was their idea of "therapy."  The incompetent anesthesiologist ended up filling me with drugs (that made me sick) that shut my body down and delayed healing because he failed to put the epidural in properly AND had given me a quick acting, short acting "spinal"  that concealed the fact that the epidural wasn't done properly until after the surgery had begun.
FYI, drugs like scopolamine, used during surgery so you can't remember anything, including "accidents," is a dangerous drug that not only prevents the formation of memories, but has other side effects: drowsiness; dizziness; disorientation; memory disturbances; hallucinations; paranoia; confusion; dry mouth; restlessness; blurred vision; dilated pupils; dry or itchy eyes; flushing; fast heartbeats- tachycardia.  It not only has no benefit for YOU in surgery, it is detrimental to your well-being.  The street trade calls this drug "devil's breath."  There are other "surgical" drugs that paralyze your body, all your organs, everything (it's the reason you wake up with a painful throat from a plastic tube being shoved in to breathe for you because your diaphram is paralyzed by the drug).  I'ts also why you have trouble getting your insides to work again after surgery.
Unnecessary drugs have adverse effects on healing.  Not being drugged unnecessarily is very important to me.  The Pardee anesthesiologist respected that;  The Park Ridge anesthesiologist did not.  It made a HUGE difference in my healing.  I felt great, mentally and physically, after the first one and could do my exercises.  After the second one at Park Ridge, I felt so horrible, sick and depressed, - for months - I was in bed getting weaker and felt too bad to do even survival things, much less exercises.  I believe part of the persistent nausea was from my body having to process nasty drainage from my slow-healing, persistently inflamed knee, which got a slow start healing from the drugs shutting down my body.
Park Ridge only counted ONE day as in-patient, which prevented me from having in-patient therapy immediately after the surgery (and I'm 73 and live alone).  I still have pain and restricted movement nearly FIVE MONTHS after the Park Ridge surgery.   I was at this point FIVE WEEKS after the Pardee surgery! The surgeon was the same, the surgery was the same, the hardware was the same - the ONLY difference was the hospital.   Comparing the two surgeries is like comparing a dream to a nightmare!
Park Ridge Rehab sent people UP to 30 minutes out twice a WEEK, instead of an hour twice a DAY that I had in in-patient rehab.  I think Medicare pays them the same (for an hour) no matter how long they stay, also paying them for items on the list they check off, no matter how long it takes.  So they get out as fast as possible, do their computer/office work on your time instead of after they leave, and check off pretty much every item on the list, whether they did them or not.
Most of the personnel were very nice to okay, but the initial person they sent out ("Susan") was awful.  She was pushy, arrogant, impatient, and bordered on abusive.  I didn't know how to rate the personnel, since there was such a variation, so I gave more weight to the nice ones.  I've never had rehab people come to my house before, so I don't really know how they compare to others - I was also less than happy with the whole Park Ridge surgery experience and in not being in a proper rehab facility, so maybe, in fairness, I had a little prejudice toward their rehab also, comparing it to the wonderful care I got after the Pardee surgery.  I just know I wouldn't send my worst enemy to Park Ridge for surgery.  I am really disappointed that my wonderful joint doctor moved to a Park Ridge practice.  I hope he doesn't stay there.

Dr. Wilkinson was very courteous and took time to thoroughly examine by skin concerns and moles. One mole needed to be removed. Unlike another practice that I have had dealings with, Dr. Wilkinson numbed the area before removing the mole making the process quick, simple, and painless. He explained the skin condition on my arms and suggested an over-the-counter lotion to heal the area. I really appreciated him suggesting an OTC option instead of giving me an expensive prescription. The OTC lotion has worked like charm! The staff were very friendly and prompt. Highly recommend!

The visit went fine. They prescribed a med which I filled at the local pharmacy. When I sent a 90 day prescription later to the mail order firm, they said it would be $230 copay. I turned it down. Cheaper to get it monthly locally for $5 !!

    Chapman, Dr. Clyde D.
I have been very satisfied with Dr. Chapman. He has sent me on to 2 other dentists I see for specialty work. I feel like I am in good hands with him and if there is something he feels needs more specialty dentistry he brings in another doctor into the case. He is a good dentist. His availability has been very good.
