    We called Mr. Kirtley when our Kenmore washer stopped working, and he said he could come at noon the following day. He arrived right on time, quickly diagnosed the problem, made the repair, and the washer was back in business. He was polite, professional, and clearly knew his stuff. We would certainly use him again.

    Super! I wish that I could give James something more than an "A" because that seems inadequate for the job he did. My husband (who is very handy) tried to fix it himself, but ended up breaking some of the parts during his effort. I called James at approximately 11 AM on a busy Monday and got his voice mail saying that they were totally booked until Friday. I left my name and number anyway because of the excellent reviews on this site and he called me back within a couple of hours. He was very nice and quite personable on the phone and we made an appointment for Friday afternoon, but he said he would call me back later in the week if he had a cancellation or if he could find a spot to squeeze me in. I wasn't holding my breath. He called that same day a few minutes before 4 PM and said he could come right away if that fit with my schedule. Are you kidding? Nobody does business like this. Most don't even call you back let alone make a place for you. He talked with my husband so he could determine what needed to be done and when my husband hung up he said, "sounds like a really nice guy." He arrived shortly and found that the last company to service our machine (about 20 months ago), didn't bother to put the screws back when they replaced the pump. Because of this, the rubber elbow was rubbed and a hole was formed and so we had water leakage. He had a new pump on the truck (he came prepared) so he used screws from that pump for replacement, had a new elbow (again, he was prepared), and it was fixed in about a half hour. In addition, my husband asked him a couple of questions about our two refrigerator/freezers and James gladly offered advice. When I mentioned that I want to purchase a new dish washer since mine is about 15 years old, he told me what to look for when buying one and how to decide what I really need as opposed to what the salesman might try to sell me. What an excellent experience and the price was so reasonable! Nice to know that there are competent service people to help you out. Oh, and besides that, James is the nicest, most personable service person I have dealt with in a long time. Hire this guy - you won't be disappointed (and no, he isn't a family member or friend). I just really appreciate the fact that he took the time to help, do good work, and went above and beyond what was necessary. Thanks, James!

    Quick, efficient, knowledgeable, friendly service. A bit on the higher level expense wise, but you get what you pay for! I called the Hendersonville office and Kristy was very friendly and sent someone out next day. Danny arrived promptly as expected and knew what I needed immediately. He called for the part and normally would have put it in next day, but since that happened to be a short day for him he traveled 45 minutes to pick up my part for an older 2004 model Jenn Air oven and installed same day. Danny was not only fast and efficient, he was also previously an appliance dealer himself in this area and was able to give me tips on other appliances while he worked. Amazing! I will definitely use again. FYI: I called several other repair shops in area before Mr. Appliance and some couldn���t see for several weeks or didn���t work on my model oven. I was very fortunate to find Mr. Appliance.

    BLUE RIDGE APPLIANCE AND HEARTH
    I have used this company for over 5 yrs for repairs and purchases of appliances. I was told the cost for the installation will be $122.00/ hr and $2.00 per minute over that. To speed the process up my husband removed the old dishwasher. Fellows that arrived did not give me an estimate of how long it would take to install the dishwasher. Stated they would not Hotwire the appliance and installed a new outlet box. I was in agreement with that. But then to take 3 more hrs to install the dishwasher when they broke the bracket. I was concerned about the charge. Office called me looking for employees since they were not returning their calls. I voiced my concern to Greta who said she will let owner know of situation. Next day Sharon called and told me the cost was more than the dishwasher...needless to say it was upsetting. She stated the cost was $155.00 for the first hour. I shared I was told $122.00 for first hour. She agreed to take one hour of service off, but her tone was very hostile and defensive. There was no room to negotiate. Very disappointed with this experience especially since I have recommended them to my friends. A definite loss of trust. I tried to avoid the Big Box stores and stay Local but will not go back to Blue Ridge Appliance again.

    Again, after several calls and only the WIFE can approve a refund, I waited over 12 days for a refund on a order that was never placed. I have NEVER received worse service and will be contacting the BBB with my complaint. All Bob repeated over and over is they go to Church in Biltmore - what on earth does that have to do with horrible service??? Bob the owner was VERY unprofessional!!!

    It worked out very good.? They're really wonderful.? They found the problem; it didn't need fixing, but they were able to find the problem.? Their price was very reasonable.? I would give them A's straight through.? I would use them again in the future if I needed to, without hesitation.? It didn't take them long to find the problem with the refrigerator; it was pretty simple.?

    The estimate was way to high and it was for work they had already done. So it did not work out to well for us. I don't remember if they charged us for the estimate. I do remember that we got a bill that we called them and said "We're not going to pay this." I think they just took it off. I kind of would have to go with a "D" overall because they estimated something like $600 and we got it fixed for $125. They did come out when they said they were going to.

    Mr. Peterson was booked solid for the next week, but was able to work us in at the end of the day. He and his assistant, Reggie, diagnosed the problem and returned the next day, Saturday, and made the repair. He called the following day to make sure everything was working properly. Very professional, knowledgeable, polite, honest. Will definitely hire him again whenever the need arises.
