The visit went well. They are prompt after being checked in by front desk. Rachel is Dr Russell's nurse and she is very quick to get you back to see the doctor. Dr Russell is very good and listens very well to your concerns.
The only problem is that when you have lab work that needs to be sent to the specialist after getting it done at the office, for what ever reason, the lab results are not always sent to the specialist. The results came back within a week of the blood draw and they called me twice to give me the results. I told  Dr Russell that I had an appointment coming up for a yearly check up with the Duke gastrologist on 10/21/15 which was a few weeks away so it gave them plenty of time to get the results sent to them. However on the day of my appointment, when I got to the Duke clinic, we had to call and wait for the results to be faxed over to them and we had to call twice to get them. When reports are faxed in or out of their office, it seems that something always happens to the results.
I came in before this appt to drop off a urine sample that Dr Yttri at Duke Urology requested they get for them to keep me from driving 45 minutes down to Durham Nc. It took approx 3 weeks to get the results to them which made it bad because during that time, Dr Yttri was unable to get my medicine changed and I ended up taking the wrong medicine until she got the results. For what ever reason, I feel that communication could be worked on a little bit. Otherwise it is a good clinic.

    Mahan , Dr. D Michael
Dr. Mahan has been my physician for about 6 years, and I truly have a lot of respect for him and his staff. I most admire his honesty, he doesn't just tell you what you want to hear, he tells you the truth and he doesn't sugar coat nothing.

Had problems getting the appointment scheduled. You have to be on your menstral cycle to have the procedure. My cycle is somewhat irregular, so I had to reschedule a couple of times. This was aggravating.

Once I was able to have the procedure done, everything was fine. Doctor was very knowledgable and caring during the procedure.

Raleigh Orthopaedic Clinic - Main Office
I fell and had surgery on 12/30/11 to fix 3 broken bones in left leg. Surgeon used rod and screws. Screw broke 7/12 causing rod to drop. I was given a copy of the x-ray. Drs. Chieveta and Logel would not do any repair work. I was ordered to wear a boot for several weeks. This did not correct my problem. I was told that I needed to see a trauma doctor. This doctor, as well as a second opinion doctor, said that the whole thing needed to be re-done using wider rod and different screws. Because of the insurance I have not had this correction surgery. My leg gives away andI fall. Raleigh Orthopedics says nothingis wrong. The trauma doctor took x-rays which showed that the screw has grown into a bone.
I wrote the CEO of Raleigh Orthopedic stating in detail all the events and requesting that he look at the x-rays on file. To this day I have not heard back from this group. My leg has wasted away. The ankle is knotty. I am unable to stand for any given amount of time. I fall.
All of my doctors have looked at my leg and cannot understand why this practice never admitted to wrong doing or at least to do something to correct the problems.

It went very well. No waiting. They processed my insurance, no cost to me. Friendly and professional always. Did not feel injection being given at all. Truly a first class clinic all the way. The best experience I ever had .

    Netasha McLawhorn MD
I was "groggy" yesterday because I was on pain medication for a root canal procedure the day before, and unfortunately, I relented, charging $150 to my credit card. I received no itemization of services rendered, only a credit card receipt. When the medication wore off today, I called my sister who had the same service a month before (we have the same insurance coverage). She told me Premier charged her $109, but her insurance statement showed the charge should have been $36. She called Premier today and Rhonda (a billing associate) agreed to give her a refund. I called Rhonda in the billing department and explained I had been overcharged. I asked if she could verify with Cigna the charges for my 2/9 exam. She said she didn't have the time to do that. I called Cigna and an associate (Allyson) confirmed the charge for a "wellness" exam should have been $36. I called Dr. McLawhorn's office and spoke to Kim, the office manager. I asked that Kim find out what my refund should be. I asked for a e-mail address where I could send this report for the Doctor's review. Kim assured me I would receive a refund if it was due and that the Doctor would be part of the phone call this afternoon. She would not give me an e-mail address to contact the Doctor. Later this afternoon, Kim called. The Doctor was not available to participate in the call. Kim said she called Cigna and the charge should have been $60. We had a 3-way with another associate (Jennifer) in Cigna who verified the charge was $36. If I had not had the Women's Wellness coverage, the charge would have been $60. At no time was $150 a valid charge. But Cigna could do nothing to make Premiere refund the money I had paid. Kim said Premiere would not process a refund: they would first submit the charges to Cigna and base any follow-on action on Cigna's response. This process would take a couple weeks. In this economy, shame on Premier for overcharging patients and not being responsive to errors in a timely manner. I can't believe a wonderful Doctor like Netasha McLawhorn is aware of this practice and I will mail her a copy of this report so she is not kept in the dark. I would use this health provider again if Premier corrects the bad practices of their billing department.

    Gianforcaro, Dr. Robert
There are physicians and there are doctors and Dr. Gianforcaro is truly a physician. I have never spoke to anyone in the hospital or in the medical filed that has not spoke highly of him. He is truly adored. He was also listed as the top Family doctor in the state.
