ABUDGET BLINDSAfter they installed the blinds under warranted I was presented with a bill for delivery and installation, which was never told to me up front or by the installer. The owner, Charlie Utz said “sorry, that’s our policy.” Funny, I don’t pay labor when I have warranty work on my car at a dealership ! Another customer told me he replaced her drapes at no cost and installed them AT NO COST. I would think a good business manager wants to make a problem right with a customer, no matter what. He refused to budge. He’s over charging customers for service and not being transparent about billing practices.- Anita H.

ASolar EscapeI called Solar Escape because I saw their add in the Yellow Pages. I called two other companies and neither one showed up on time. Solar Escape arrived on time which was a good start since I had to take time off work. The salesman was far more informative about the options I had on my shutters. Most of the options the other two companies didn't even mention. I placed the order and they even gave me temporary paper shades to have privacy while the shutters were on order. They came in a week earlier than they said they would and they came to install a couple days later. Everything is beautiful and better than i imagined in the beginning. I would recommend them to anyone.- Stephen J.

ACoastal Awnings & Hurricane ShuttersGreat! Bobby, the owner, meth with me as scheduled and emailed me a detailed estimate. Danny, his installer, came by to recheck the measurement! The shutters were manufactured and ready when promised. Danny installed them and demonstrated how they functioned. They were prompt, polite and knew exactly what they were doing. Very, very professional. The shutters look awesome, I hope we don't have a hurricane any time soon. If we do I'm ready! CCoastal Awnings & Hurricane ShuttersWe had the shutters installed 5 years ago. This is the 3d motor to be replaced in the last two years at a cost of approximately $500, each. They did a great job installing the shutters initially but the recent repair took weeks because they did not stock an extra motor yet, by their own comment, after 5 years you can expect the motors to start failing. Bottom line is I would not recommend having their version of these type of blinds installed!- Henry S.

CWe had an excellent experience getting a new roof with JTC about six years ago, and to be fair I meant to jump on and write a very positive review then. However, we've since had some serious water damage along one section of eaves / soffit, to the point where we've now had water run down through our wall/flooring and into our HVAC ducts. I've emailed twice and called but haven't gotten any response at all. At this point, I'll try someone else, but I did have a very positive initial impression and would have thought that JTC would have at least come out to take a look at the problem for me.

FIf I could give zero stars, I would. First, it was taking forever to get my order. When I looked at my order, they somehow had the wrong address (my former address from five years ago), so I contacted them to change the address. They assured me that the address was changed. A couple of weeks later, I was notified via email that my order was delivered but when I checked my front door it wasn't there, so I went to my old address, 30 minutes away and got lucky that the owner was there and had received my order. When I got it home the 3 roller shades that I ordered for side-by-side windows were all 4 inches too big. I followed the online measurement directions which suggested that you add 2 inches per side to your measurements for an outside mount. I should have stayed with my original measurements. When I called, they suggested that I keep an inch on each side. They re-made them, and AGAIN sent them to the wrong address - even after I re-confirmed that they had the right one. Again, I had to go to my old address to look for my delivery. This time, no one was home, so I took a chance and waited in front of their house for a while until someone may come home. Luckily, someone showed up within 90 minutes. This time they had showed up with 2 boxes! They re-made it twice (6 roller shades), all still too big! Due to the global pandemic and for personal reasons, I waited to address the issue. When I finally was able to contact them, I was sent a message that the CSR's supervisor determined that the blinds were made correctly. Therefore, they cannot offer a remake for this order. Their policy states that they will make up to 4 shades if the customer is not completely happy. However, they offered to remake the shades at a discounted price! I will not give them one more penny! Worst service ever! A $500.00 lesson learned - They stole my money and left me with 9 useless roller shades to get rid of. I do not recommend them!
