AThe Improvement CoThese home improvements were scheduled over the course of eleven months. Some tasks took considerably longer than the projected time frame. Some delays were weather- related. Others were related to my schedule. And some were simply that all houses are different and mine had some idiosyncrasies that needed workarounds. I have been very pleased with the quality of the final product in every case. AAtlantic Coastal EnterprisesWe knew we were going to be needing a new roof. Our neighbor down the street was having their roof replaced so we paid careful attention to their work. We decided to get three estimates and they were all competitively priced. We ultimately decided to go with Atlantic Coastal Enterprises because we actually witnessed their work and finished product. The crew showed up promptly at 6:30 am and set up tarps around the house to catch the debris. They immediately began working on removing the old roof and replacing the rotten wood. The owner Brian Bryce came by to check on progress. The crew worked diligently through the day and up into the night. They had the roof installed, debris cleaned up and were packed up by 10pm that evening! I was completely blown away that we had a new roof in one day! I would definitely recommend ACE because their professionalism, customer service, and workmanship takes all the stress out of buying a new roof.- Mitzi W.

A101 Building ServicesJohn Adams has done a lot of work for me. He is very versatile. I have used him for plumbing, painting, decks and flooring work. He is probably one of the best painters I have ever seen. He has done irrigation work for me and has repaired it. I have used him for roofing. He has built structures for me. He has done some repairs outside the house. We had boring bees and he has fixed all those, repaired the wood and got rid of the bees. He has built pergolas and greenhouses. We had an irrigation problem for our outside sprinklers for probably two years and we couldn’t get anybody to come out and he fixed it within a few days. He builds fences and walls. He is the best. He charges hourly and charges by the job also. He is coming again today but he is here at least once a week. He does work by himself. I would rate him highly and would continue to use him in the future.- Ron S.

AHandy ManHis name is Bill. We have used him quite a bit. He is wonderful. We love him. We always tell him that he is the man. A lot of people in our area don't want to work, and when they do work they charge us a lot of money so that they don't have to work all the time. They just rip us off. We live at the beach, and there are not a lot of dependable people here. Bill is not like that at all. He is very hard-working and very dependable. He charges by the hour and is very reasonable. I really don't have enough good things to say about him. If he says he would be here at 8:00 in the morning he would be here by 7:50. He would take a 30-minute lunch break and would eat right off of the driveway and would get right back to work. He is very reliable, very honest, and a very good person. He is phenomenal.- Laurie S.

AOwner Ricky Stroup was infinitely patient with us, as after our initial meeting it took us over a year to hire his company to do this work. During that year, we had multiple conversations with him regarding the scope of our project, and he was as willing to contract the scope as to expand it. He wrote several proposals for us, so we could see the financial impacts of our different scope options. Our indecision on scope, and delay in scheduling, never caused any frustration or ill will on his part. Mr. Stroup was helpful, friendly, and patient throughout! His team installed everything in one day, and all who worked on our project were extremely courteous and professional. We have been very impressed with the quality of the work. Working with Gutter Glove of North Carolina was an enjoyable experience, and I recommend this company!

CWe had an excellent experience getting a new roof with JTC about six years ago, and to be fair I meant to jump on and write a very positive review then. However, we've since had some serious water damage along one section of eaves / soffit, to the point where we've now had water run down through our wall/flooring and into our HVAC ducts. I've emailed twice and called but haven't gotten any response at all. At this point, I'll try someone else, but I did have a very positive initial impression and would have thought that JTC would have at least come out to take a look at the problem for me.
