    Ace Concrete
David Stallings came out the same day I called to look at my very small job. I also had him look at my existing 12 year old driveway and sidewalks. He said there was no work needed on the driveway, etc. He agreed to pour the small area I needed (about 12 ft x 15 ft) even though it was smaller than his normal minimum size job. He came out the very next day and did a great job on it. David is professional, courteous, and honest. I would not hesitate to use him again and will be recommending him to family and friends.

    Pro One Garage Doors
Went great. Kyle was very responsive and eager to answer all questions. Spent quite a bit of time responding to my requirements. Pricing was competitive. My only concern is that he is a "one man show" and I am looking for a larger company with enough employees to ensure timely response in case I have issues. When you're the owner, technician, etc, it may be hard to keep up with all the demands. However, Kyle seemed very energetic and smart - I expect he will do well in the future!

    Ace Concrete
Despite very humid weather and multiple equipment failures, David did an excellent job of removing and replacing the damaged area of our driveway and sidewalk. He straightened and raised the sidewalk and gave me advice on drainage. The work was completed in one day.

    Lace Construction
Met Cam in early April 2017 for an estimate on a garage for my RV. We had detailed discussions, and passed emails back and forth. He kept promising he would provide and estimate/proposal, but, after several weeks of delays, he never did. In his final words on 19 May, he stated "I have larger jobs now and can't provide an estimate". I feel I wasted my time with him (and my time is valuable also). Less

    Universal Concrete Services
Jeff was very professional, responsive, and interested in my business. They actually made several trips to my home to provide a detailed estimate. Jeff went above and beyond with his estimate (even though I modified the requirements slightly after our first conversation). While they were just slightly more expensive than the concrete service company I selected, I really made my decision based on volumes of pre-exiting ratings. Since Universal Concrete is "fairly" new , they didn't have as many reviews as most other companies (I am providing this review to assist with this). Everything else was almost equal. Would highly recommend!

    Morales Concrete
Contractor did not handle unexpected issues very well - mostly because he DID NOT DOCUMENT the work scope properly (Sorry, but as an Eagle Scout an a retired Air Force Officer and PMP, I have to be honest about my evaluation). On day 1, we discovered a small portion of the existing slab was thicker than I was told by the original garage builder. During my contractor selection process, I did previously ask Ricardo if he owned, or had access to, heavy equipment, if needed. He said yes. However, his guys just showed up with sledge hammers and digging bars to remove the slabs - no way this was going to do the job. Ricardo was stressing out because of the potential impact to his schedule the rest of the week. Concerned myself, I quickly asked Ricardo to get some equipment on site to accelerate the job. I agreed to pay another $850 without hesitation. While his guys worked extended hours that day to complete most of the brick wall, Ricardo started making complaints about the length/cost/construction time for the brick wall that would form the concrete to be poured the next day. The "nickel and diming" started. He wanted another $650! Ricardo began complaining and brow beating me that he "didn't agree" to this. I contended he did. The basic problem is that Ricardo does not provide adequate documentation (and claimed his memory of our initial discussions was better than mine - I was/am offended by that!) During our initial negotiations, he would not DOCUMENT all the work. However, he DID respond to my job description by indicating everything was "OK" (his words) in his last email. I was so fed up with his whining, I begrudgingly agreed to pay the additional $650 (after he threatened to walk off the job - the original driveway destroyed with large concrete rubble just laying there!). It gets worse... The last day of the job (sensing he wasn't making enough profit), he wanted EVEN MORE money after I presented my check. He became obstinate and argumentative. I especially wanted to avoid conflict since my 9 year-old grand daughter was out in the yard as well. I asked him if he wanted my money or not. He took the check, muttering under his breath. I was livid! To his credit, Ricardo called my mobile phone the next day and left a voice mail apology - too late! Here's the problems: Ricardo doesn't want to document anything, is a poor communicator, and (apparently) only does "professional" work if there are NO issues at all (wouldn't that be nice). I would never hire him again - it was one of the most "painful" experiences of my life in relation to a project (of which I've managed hundreds - professionally and personally). As a Christian for 45 years, a retired Air Force officer of 32 years, a long-time Angies List Gold member, and a PMI-certified Project Management Professional with decades of personal and professional construction management experience, I have to be honest about my evaluation of Morales Concrete. I speak the truth as shown below. For some reason, previous customers did not appear to have issues with Ricardo. However, for the reasons shown below, I did. See provided/attached pictures and documentation a reader cant refute these FACTS. The basic problem is that Ricardo does not provide adequate documentation. Additionally, if things dont suit him, he tries to rely on his own (flawed) memory of discussions. Ricardos written communications is misleading, incomplete, and broken. He also speaks in broken English when in a hurry (which also led to misunderstanding in fact, I had to ask him to repeat himself many times during all our conversations). In a nutshell: Ricardo handled these job phases poorly: project proposal, construction (issues & deficiencies), project communications, and billing. Job Proposal and Construction (issues & deficiencies): See ATTACH 1, the March 12th proposal where Ricardo indicates that brick wall will be augmented on both sides to a height of minimum 1 in. taller than the new concrete level. Note in ATTCH 2, the photo, Ricardo DID NOT augment/continue the wall the entire length of the new concrete level (a major construction deficiency). In ATTCH 3, I provide my condensed email asking Ricardo to update the original proposal (so we could have complete agreement on what he was doing he did not. However, note his first words in his response: All is ok. This indicated he agreed with the content of my original email. Also note that the email clearly states the wall was supposed to be the entire length of the new concrete level he didnt do this! The email also clearly states that he was supposed to let the brick retaining wall cure/dry for 24 hours before pouring the concrete I saw on Day 1, he apparently didnt intend to do this either another deficiency. However, after trying to communicate with Ricardo during this day, I decided early on I just wanted something for my (hard earned!) money so I could get him off my property he was that difficult! Unexpected issues: During my contractor selection process, I did previously ask Ricardo if he owned, or had access to, heavy equipment, if needed. He said yes. However, on day 1, his guys just showed up with sledge hammers and digging bars to remove the slabs - no way this was going to do the job. During the morning, we discovered a small portion of the existing slab was thicker than I was told by the original garage builder. Ricardo was stressing out. Concerned myself, I quickly asked Ricardo to get some equipment on site to accelerate the job. I agreed to pay another $850 without hesitation. After the equipment arrived, Ricardo started making complaints about the construction time for the brick wall (To their credit) his guys worked extended hours that day to complete most (not all!) of the brick wall. However, even once they finished working on the wall the next morning, Morales Concrete didnt meet the agreed specifications (for the agreed price). Billing: Add-On Charges. I had already agreed to pay an additional $850 (see above). However, half-way through the job, Ricardo wanted another $650 for the wall construction! Even though he did not meet the wall specs we had agreed to, I begrudgingly agreed to pay the additional $650 (after he threatened to walk off the job with the original driveway destroyed with large concrete rubble just lying there!). Final Billing. It gets worse... Once Ricardo completed the job, he wanted EVEN MORE money after I presented my check that incorporated the 10% Angies List discount (See ATTCH 4 (10% off coupon for Angies List members). He surprisingly claimed his original pricing proposal already incorporated the discount. However, I NEVER indicated I was an Angies List member until I presented the check! Ricardo became obstinate and argumentative. However, he finally took the check, muttering under his breath. I was livid! Angies List Members be forewarned! To his credit, Ricardo called my mobile phone the next day and left a voice mail apology - too late! I would never hire him again - it was one of the most "painful" experiences of my life in relation to a project (of which I've managed hundreds).

    Heritage Concrete
Originally referred to Steve by another company I found on Angie's List. It just so happened that the morning I called, I learned that Steve was actually in my area and could come by to look at the project. I opened my schedule to meet with him. The project review went fine and we never discussed ANY schedule expectation (since I was in no rush to have the work done). I was excited when Steve was leaving that he unprompted told me he would email me a proposal and cost estimate that very day! Unfortunately, I never saw it. I emailed him late in the day (around 4:30 PM) and asked about the proposal. He responded back later that evening that he wasn't going to bid on the job (although I had been waiting all day for the proposal and did not call any other contractors!)! He made some mention in his email that he "thought" I was in a hurry to get the job done, when, in fact, I was not and, again, we had not even discussed schedule. My sense was that he didn't want to do the work (for whatever reasons), although he told me on site that he was interested (and that he would provide an estimate). He didn't even bother calling me! Very disappointing! Don't trust a man that doesn't keep his word!

    Cox Door Company Inc
From the first contact until the work was done, the communication was outstanding. I'm a primarily-email-kind-of-person and they honored that. It was easy to select a door, I got great feedback when asking questions and opinions, and the install was way faster than expected. It took about 2 weeks for the door to come in after order, and the door was installed and operating within a couple of hours. Pricing was reasonable and the whole staff was super friendly. Also, after the sale, part of the trim was drooping and they came out right away to make it right. I highly, highly recommend. (pictures are before and after)

    Morales Concrete
We had a very positive experience. Ricardo and his team did a great job! Ricardo was very professional throughout the entire process (from the initial estimate to final inspection). He was on time, very responsive, and took pride in the quality of his work. He let us know up front that he wasn't done until we were satisfied with the finished product, and stood by that at final inspection. His team worked very fast and efficiently, and were respectful of the rest of our property (no trash or damage to other areas, etc.). We really enjoyed working with Morales Concrete and have recommended them to all our friends/neighbors interested in getting concrete work done. We will definitely go to them for any work going forward.

    Woodlands Outdoor Living
We decided to go with Woodlands and signed a contract. We gave 1/3 upfront, 1/3 at the start of the project, and the final 1/3 at completion. He pushed hard to get the second 1/3 as soon after signing the contract. Once we gave the second payment they came and did a very small part of the project and we didnt see them again for a week. When they came back the second week they did stay until it was completed. But, his guys broke one of our outside lights and didnt tell Scott or us we just found the broken globe. When we told Scott about it he tried to say that his guys just took it down and we could put it back, but we said the globe is broken and all the hardware is gone. He also said they would be done with our project by lunch on a Friday. We had plans that evening and they didnt finish until 5:30 and we had to change our plans in order to meet Scott and give the final payment. When we tried to wait on the final payment he said he really needed the money to make payroll that week. Well, its not my problem if you cant make your payroll and how is getting the payment at 5:30 on a Friday when the banks are closed going to help your payroll? At the end of the project he said that if we needed anything or noticed anything else that needed to be touched up to let him know and they would come back out. He also said they would have the new light fixture for us the next week. One of the aspects of this project was a gravel pad for a new shed. When the shed was delivered we discovered that the pad was not level and it also wasnt the right size we specified. Two weeks after our project was done my husband called to find out about the light fixture and also to let Scott know we needed some grass seed added to some thin spots in our yard. We have never heard back from him. My husband has left him multiple messages that have not been returned. While the project was going on he was quick to return calls or answer the phone. Now that he has all the money well never see them again. We paid over $17,000 for this project and the very least he could do is replace our $35 light fixture and bring some more grass seed over. I think Scott is a good salesman, and is good at talking a good game. I dont think he ever intended to come back after he got the final payment from us. While the work wasnt bad, it definitely wasnt really great either. There are quite a few things that we done sloppy or half way. We definitely wont be using them again and we wont be recommending them to any friends or family either. Overall, pretty unhappy with their lack of customer service.
