    DLS Home Services
Dave sent Shane to my address; he arrived exactly on time, was extremely polite, professional, and clearly determined to do good work. He removed the old microwave and carted it away, installed the new one (he had to do some extra work to remove backsplash tiles that were in the way of the new installation), and finished the job promptly. He even offered to clean up the dust from removing the tiles. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with the company, and I would hire them again. I highly recommend Shane for his customer service skills.

The buyers were extremely satisfied with the work as well - all work was completed on the first attempts with no need for return corrections! Mr. Zerkle was VERY knowledgeable and also recommended the most efficient, effective and affordable methods to address all the issues - I was extremely satisfied with the quality of work and would highly recommend him for repairs as well as new construction/addition work

    Constructive Solutions
I had been looking for some time to have someone come out and install a professional level range hood from Pro Line Range Hoods and while looking on Angie's List came across Constructive Solutions. I went to the website and realized that I had heard his radio show many times when the Big Talker was still good.  I left my phone number and a brief message about the work I needed done. Mark Marcley called me the very next morning and had some free time that afternoon to come out and take a look. I think I got very lucky that he was in between jobs for a day and a half.

He looked at the range hood, the cabinets and the roof and gave me a price that didn't include materials, but told me they wouldn't be much. They next morning Mark and his son (sorry but his name seems to escape me at the moment) showed up bright and early to do the work. First they had to take out the above range microwave and then cut holes in the cabinets for the duct work. This was done so professionally that you can't even tell that anything had been done to the cabinets from the outside. There were a lot of little adjustments they were able to make inside of the cabinets with the shelving material that I already had in there so this saved money on materials. I didn't really lose that much cabinet space due to these adjustments. Then they vented the range hood through the roof and sealed the hole. After getting this done they were able to build a box to go around the 8 inch duct work and install crown molding to match the rest of the kitchen. His son cut me a small paint sample from the an area that cannot be seen behind the cabinets and put a paint primer on the new box. All I need to do is just go get the paint. I am sure there is much more to it than what I have described here, but I don't know what it is and this is why I cannot install something like this.

In fact, not many people could install a range hood like this one and do all the other little things that are so very important at the same time. They were able to use carpentry, roofing and many other skills that I would have had to pay several different people for. It would have cost me A LOT more money if anyone else had done this work and it still would not have turned out as well. It was an all day job to install my range hood because it was done right. This was not one of the weak range hoods sold at Lowes or Home Depot, this was a professional level hood that would not have done what I needed it to do if it was not installed by people that know what they are doing. Sorry for the run on sentence. I just needed to make sure I got my point across.

I have had no problems my new range hood and I am very pleased with it and the very professional work these guys did. No longer do I smell breakfast 6 hours later in my closet at the other end of the house and gone are the fumes from frying hot peppers. My house looks and smells cleaner as its no longer being polluted by spicy food. I can only smell things now when I am standing over the stove while cooking. Everything else vents outside through the roof. They have the skills to get many jobs done themselves without having to call in sub contractors thus keeping the price a little lower.

Originally, I was trying to get a heating and air company install my hood, but they didn't show up on two occasions and I am so glad they didn't. They would have been able to get the hood in, but there was no way they were going to have the time, skills or resources to get the carpentry and roofing work done in such a manner. If I was able to attach photos I would.

Bottom line, if you want the job done right Mark Marcley and son with Constructive Solutions are the ones to call. I plan on trying to get them out here soon to do several more projects. I hope this review was helpful to anyone looking to have a job done.

I called and left a message for Joe and was told he would call me back later that evening. I never received a call. The next day I called back again and was able to reach him. We set up a time for him to come out and give us a quote on some roof work. He called that morning to reschedule for the following day. That was fine. The following day came and went and Joe was never heard from again. Never called, never showed. Obviously, I am unable to rate the quality of his workmanship, as none was performed.

"New" shower liner had a cut in it and was sealed with another piece of liner and adhesive. Next installer said it would have leaked again after seeing what had been done. Showerpan incorrectly sloped giving "birdbath" effect in floor drain area. Had to be ripped out and reinstalled by a tile professional. Tile sloppily installed with uneven lines, jagged cuts and poor fitting seams. Had to be ripped out and reinstalled by a tile professional. Said he knew how to cut glass tile but used the wrong tools and chipped the glass repeatedly. Hardwood flooring installed with wrong nails after being advised of which nails to use. Prefinished flooring was chipped and gouged and nails protruded through actual surface of the wood. Obvious repair attempted with mismatching wood putty. Had to be ripped out, repurchased and reinstalled by a hardwod flooring specialist. I was never provided with any receipts for supplies purchased and suspect they were mostly remnants from previous jobs. After dismissing this person I discovered he had punctured some of the HVAC ductwork under my house in the process and I had to replace a 20' length of duct as cold air was escaping under my house. He also dumped refuse water into a raised flower bed and dumped putty or mortar into the woods next to my house after beating the bucket against a tree. He was a very sloppy worker and left messes and food overnight in the workspace, which I had to clean up. After proclaiming himself a virtual expert in every task put before him, he executed none of them professionally or even adaquately. NEVER use this person for any job - large or small. Everything I paid him to do had to be done again and almost all the materials repurchased.
