AFlip-Flop Kitchen RefreshFrom interviewing to the completion of the job everything went perfectly. The owners of Flip Flop are meticulous in their work and they made every effort to lessen the impact of not having access to our kitchen. The existing wooden stained cabinets and frames were used. The doors and drawer fronts were removed and taken off-site for sanding and painting and came back beautiful. The area around the kitchen was sealed off to lessen the impact of sanding of the frames. As with all renovation one needs to expect some dust -- but with the coverage we had around the kitchen, the final clean-up was not burdensome. An old kitchen table was converted into a counter-height island and I have had numerous compliments not only on it but the kitchen cabinets. Great Job.- Deborah M.

ACoastal Home RenovationsPavel did an outstanding job. The cabinets look built-in. The trim work and lighting is done with extreme attention to detail. We appreciated that he came out to inspect the job before installation day to verify what needed to be done, ensure that the needed materials had been delivered and walk us through some choices and options (his advice was excellent and revealed both his understanding of the job and his desire to accommodate our wishes). During the installation he brought us in as needed to help us think through and decide on design choices like hardware placement and drawer installation. They worked very clean and were timely and thorough. Truly an excellent experience. Although Coastal Home Renovations does do work for the Home Depot, I contracted with them directly. I believe they offer their own cabinet line as well as design services. I will most certainly contract with them again should the need arise.- Henry C.

AThomas Trades LLCJosh and his team are some of the most professional as well as personable contractors my wife and I have had the pleasure of working with. The job began with an in-home meeting where Josh not only heard all that we had to say, he built on the ideas and came up with other ones in a way that wasn't forceful or overtaking of what we wanted. He just had great input and improvements to inject based on his past experiences, which was extremely helpful for us. They were able to start within three or four weeks of first meeting, which in my opinion is a reasonable amount of wait time for a larger job, and a good sign that they have plenty of other jobs going on. The bulk of the work took about two months to complete, with a few odds and ends being taken care of over several weeks after that. One of the most amazing aspects of working with Josh and his team, even more than ease of working with them and getting the result you want, is how even after the work was done and they were paid and months had passed, Josh promptly sent someone out on multiple occasions when we called him about any loose ends pertaining to the work that was done. No questions asked and free of additional charge. Thomas Trades also came in at a noticeably lower price point than some of the other highly rated general contractors in and around Wilmington, with no degradation in quality. I definitely recommend hiring them for almost any work you need done in and around your home. Note: We (somewhat specifically) had most of our rooms painted, much of the kitchen redone, a full closet system in the master bedroom, the hardwood floors refinished, the master bath completely gutted and reworked, and a lot of other smaller items taken care of such as custom doors, hardware installs, fixture installs, electrical work, plumbing work, coffered ceilings, wall repair, etc.- Christopher B.

AI can't say enough about how great these guys were. When we were in a really bad post-hurricane spot, they called back, came out promptly, and fit me and my wife into their busy schedule. Our house was a mess and needed lots of help and Thomas Trades was there for us in a major way. Would work with again and highly recommend. We don't know what we would have done without these guys. Forever grateful.

Add a crown molding some new hardware and you get a real change. AWe have 2 small rooms that are a challenge for us to decorate. My husband is disabled & we require space for his motorized wheelchair, which further limits what we can do. Bryan, the owner, & Dorothy, our designer, listened to our requests & designed 2 beautiful rooms that maximize the limited space. Once we approved the design & furniture, they immediately provided a list of carpenters so we could get started on some built-in cabinetry. We were also provided with a list of all the furnishings & websites so we can purchase what we can afford. We had never used a design team before & I didn't know what to expect, but I'm so happy we did! Now we have a direction & vision of what we can do to truly utilize those rooms. We also have control over the budget & can do what we can afford as time goes on. Bryan & Dorothy were absolutely wonderful to work with & I would definitely use them again!!
