AB & M Home ImprovementsThis all started last May when it was really hot and my air conditioner quit. Besides the AC, a lot of other stuff needed to be fixed and financing took a while to set up properly, but Bret Thompson and crew bore with me as it was arranged. The whole thing took four months from start to completion. This seems like an awfully long time, but most delays were due to weather (remember the last hurricane we had in 2019?) and subsequent supplies delayed because of the hurricane. I am totally happy with the results, the house is better than when I got it. Bret always listened to me, was respectful of me (as were his crew), answered my questions, was really insistent on the best quality work of his crew and subcontractor, and always wanted to know if this is what I wanted. All that, and at a reasonable cost considering that other licensed builders I contacted who Never Called Back, or IF they called back gave ridiculously high estimates, or dismissed me as not possibly having a brain because I am a retired older woman.- Rita K.

AC and C StoneworksWe were looking to upgrade our kitchen and we went to every granite/quartz/marble shop in the area. Our experience in getting a quote was the best here, and C and C delivered on a great customer experience and quality job. I thought their prices were very competitive. We met the owner, Wesley, in his granite yard. He was super friendly and helpful and gave us great advice. One of us wanted the perfect slab, so Wesley sent us to his distributor's 12000 sq ft warehouse to pick out the perfect piece of quartzite. (The distributor, Francini Marble, was super friendly and helpful, too.) Wesley and his team were fast with providing quotes and answering questions. Included in the quote was removal of the old countertop, installation of new countertop, installation of the new sink, installation of a new faucet (provided by us), and installation of a tile backsplash (we provided the tile). What I think impressed me the most was not the quality of the work (it was great as expected) but just how nice each part of the team was. The measurement and install guys, in particular, were really professional and nice as was the tile installation team. They worked with us through the complicated installation of our vent hood. The only downside is that there was a fair amount of time between ordering and the actual install. But, Wesley was up front about this and met the timeline he provided. I HIGHLY recommend and would hire again.- Joseph L.

ASUN DOG CONSTRUCTIONLawrence Freese headed up our project with Sun Dog, and from the beginning, my husband and I found him extremely knowledgeable and informative. He never wasted our time, arriving promptly, delivering information in an efficient, concise manner, but always welcoming questions and answering them to our satisfaction. Juggling the numerous workers required for our varied jobs almost seamlessly, Lawrence coordinated the work in such a way to inconvenience us as little as possible. He provided workers with excellent skills who without exception were extremely conscientious about their work. Truly, these folks were craftsmen. And, they were personable, honest, and pleasant. When, over the course of about a month an occasional snag occurred. Lawrence responded immediately with a more than satisfactory solution. We would - and have - recommended Lawrence to friends, and we would - and have - engaged Lawrence and Sun Dog for future home improvement jobs! (I answered NA for price, because we'd had two other contractors come by to calculate estimates, but after a considerable wait, they either hadn't come by or had come, but hadn't gotten back to us with the info. We went with Lawrence because he was there with the info on the spot, so we cannot compare his prices to those of others.)- MAGGIE O.
