AB & M Home ImprovementsThis all started last May when it was really hot and my air conditioner quit. Besides the AC, a lot of other stuff needed to be fixed and financing took a while to set up properly, but Bret Thompson and crew bore with me as it was arranged. The whole thing took four months from start to completion. This seems like an awfully long time, but most delays were due to weather (remember the last hurricane we had in 2019?) and subsequent supplies delayed because of the hurricane. I am totally happy with the results, the house is better than when I got it. Bret always listened to me, was respectful of me (as were his crew), answered my questions, was really insistent on the best quality work of his crew and subcontractor, and always wanted to know if this is what I wanted. All that, and at a reasonable cost considering that other licensed builders I contacted who Never Called Back, or IF they called back gave ridiculously high estimates, or dismissed me as not possibly having a brain because I am a retired older woman.- Rita K.

AMr. RemodelBrock is very personable and has an excellent work ethic. The crew working with him were very nice and pleasant to deal with. The job was done well and we are very pleased. The new storm doors are excellent with non-breakable glass which we didn't even know was available. On several occasions when Brock was going to come to work on our house, there were problems that prevented his visit. One time his daughter had to go to the hospital and we certainly understand that. Another time there was rain that stopped his crew from working on the roof of another project, thus delaying their work visit here. He was able to finish the job here on a Saturday afternoon and we are very happy with the end result. To be able to trust someone to work on your home and give you their best effort is a homeowner's delight. We will be using Brock and Mr. Remodel in the future for any projects we may have.- Barbara C.

ATop Quality Plumbing & MaintenanceWe had a great experience working with top quality maintenance. We had to get our house on the market quickly and needed someone that could get small projects done for us ASAP! They came through big time. They came out three times in the last week and every time I have called they have always had someone out the next day. AMr. RemodelAfter a 90 foot pine tree fell through the roof of our house during Hurricane Irene, I called Mr. Remodel, Brock Whaley, at the recommendation of our tree service. We had used handymen, but had never needed the services of a contractor before. Although he was flooded with calls from regular customers, he made time to see our damage and discuss what needed to be done. He agreed that we could live in the house during the reconstruction and his workers helped move furniture for us. He even reached into the rubble to rescue my wedding dress. We had frequent meetings to discuss what steps would come next and to make decisions about products, colors, etc. He helped remove our stress during this very trying period.- JoAnn P.

AI was very pleased with my experience with Carolina Home Exteriors. Our job was difficult as we were replacing old windows on the 2nd floor and the home exterior is asbestos siding. Brian and Danny were wonderful. The job took longer than anticipated but that is because they had to be very careful working around the asbestos siding. Their work was top notch, excellent quality. They cleaned up beautifully every day, vacuuming debris and cleaning the new windows. They were very professional in their interactions with me throughout the week. In fact, I was so happy with the quality of the framing they were doing around the window exteriors, I asked them to do an additional job to frame the inside of a window in our bathroom that is going to be tiled soon. I would definitely recommend them and use them again.

AOwner Ricky Stroup was infinitely patient with us, as after our initial meeting it took us over a year to hire his company to do this work. During that year, we had multiple conversations with him regarding the scope of our project, and he was as willing to contract the scope as to expand it. He wrote several proposals for us, so we could see the financial impacts of our different scope options. Our indecision on scope, and delay in scheduling, never caused any frustration or ill will on his part. Mr. Stroup was helpful, friendly, and patient throughout! His team installed everything in one day, and all who worked on our project were extremely courteous and professional. We have been very impressed with the quality of the work. Working with Gutter Glove of North Carolina was an enjoyable experience, and I recommend this company!

AFrom the beginning, the service was top-notch. I got a great explanation of their options, quality, and timeline, and although their windows weren't the cheapest, they went out of their way to make sure I got a decent price. They maintained the timeline originally described, despite COVID, and were extremely prompt, professional, efficient, and friendly the day of. They even removed old lumber from my patio that I wanted to get rid of. I was very happy with Champion and would gladly recommend to others.
