    The pricing wasn't bad, but I realized later we could have gotten a little better pricing.  I would probably not buy from them again.  I think the fact that the car that we got itself was the reason.

    A & B AUTO SERVICE
    Beyond badly. First of all, the person who came to tow it had complete discretion as to whether or not it would be towed as he had not begun to "hook my car up" to his tow truck. My car was all of 2 blocks from their shop, so it wasn't as if he had driven miles only to come back empty handed. I asked him several times VERY NICELY not to tow it as there was a miscommunication on my parking situation (which there was ---- and it was resolved amicably immediately following this interaction). He refused, even after I told him that I am a single mother who has NO ONE to pick up her daughter without this car. He just looked at me with a completely blank expression and shrugged. I told him he clearly had no heart, and then I went to resolve the matter with parking services first and then with A&B where my car had been towed. When I got to A&B, I was told that because my car was parked front first (which 99% of all of the cars in the lot I parked in as well as those adjacent - so we are talking hundreds of cars!) had been because that is the way MOST PEOPLE PARK. The fact that they had to use "special equipment" to tow my very common 2014 Chevy vehicle is THEIR problem as they obviously do not have up-to-date equipment. So not only did I have to pay to have a car towed that didn't have to be towed, I now had to pay $20 extra because of THEIR shortcomings with equipment. But wait --- it gets even better (and by "better," I mean horrific)! When I tried to talk with the guy at the counter (the CUSTOMER SERVICE COUNTER), he interrupted me and told me that his guy has told him I was a "b****." WHAT?! Then I tried to tell my side of the story (anyone who has ever been in customer service, as I had been for 13 years as a manager, knows there are ALWAYS two sides to every story), he interrupted me and talked over me continuing to insult me. Finally, I said, "Well, you won't be getting MY business!" To which he replied, "Good! We don't provide services to bitches!!" So to recap, this company only cares about making money and the manager/owner called a customer a "b****" not once, but twice. Clearly not a place that ANYONE should want to do business as they lack integrity and morality.

    EXPERT TRANSMISSION SVC
    On or about 3 August 2015, a Chevy
    pickup was dropped off to Expert Transmission Service located at 327
    W 5th St, Washington, NC 27889, (252) 946-1421. I told him that it
    would jerk violently when shifted from park to reverse and sometimes
    when putting in to drive. The transmission would also not shift from
    2nd to 3rd gear.
    At that point I was assured by the
    owner Andrew (I dont know his last name) was that there would be no
    problem rebuilding the transmission and that they had repaired them
    before with no problem in the past. He stated that it would only
    take 4 days to repair. 2 weeks later I received a call that the truck
    was ready. I paid $1247 and was told that it was fixed. I drove the
    vehicle around down the street and although the shifting issue had
    been corrected the violent jerking was still there and there was a
    new grinding noise while driving. I took it back and Andrew told me
    that the new grinding noise was not the transmission and that I could
    leave it again and they would continue to work on it.
    This has gone on back and forth for the
    last 6 months with no resolution of the new grinding noise and the
    violet jerking of the transmission has not been repaired. The time
    spent at his shop exceeds 45 business days.
    I contacted the owner Andrew and he has
    refused to refund any money so that I can take it to someone who
    actually can repair the transmission. His response is that I should
    bring it back so he can continue to work on it.

    It was free because if you buy a vehicle from them you get a free oil change for life. I started using them either in 2010 or 2011. I haven't really had any issues with my truck so I can't really say for any of the technicians as far as how good they are, but I know the front office is very convenient, very nice, quick, and prompt to the point that they can let me know when they can get around to me, and then I wait for 5-6 hours. If they're behind, they'll let me know. With regards to their responsiveness, I had to call back before.

    A & B AUTO SERVICE
    The floor of my van has been getting very wet for the past week or so.  I know that I didn't spill anything, so I figured it was the
    drain line from the condensation of the AC.  I brought it in to A & B and they said to come back in 20 mins.  When I returned, it
    was completed and everything looks fine.
    Now, I am a regular customer of this shop.  They have been more than fair with me for years, but when I asked what was the charge, for the AC drain cleanout, he just said "No Charge"!!   That is amazing!
    A&B does my inspections, my tires, everything, and for 10 years or so and they have never been anything less than completely
    honest and fair with me.  That is why I keep coming back.   They are the best in Greenville!

    UNIVERSITY AUTO CARE
    The A/C on my husband's truck stopped working so he asked me to find someone on Angie's List. I found University Auto, who had an A rating. My husband was able to take the truck in right away and a few hours later, it was repaired. The state inspection was also needed so they performed that as well. Although my husband was almost sure that he needed a new clutch, the mechanic was able to repair the existing part but did let him know that if it went out again, it would probably need to be replaced. Honest and trustworthy, that's what I think of this shop.

    The service representative was extremely rude and insulting.  When a person indicated as the service manager was called, he was also discourteous.  I left the shop without getting the service done because of that.  When I called to complain after leaving the shop, the person I spoke to was not only offensive, but actually hung up on me.
    To be fair, I have had my vehicle serviced there many times without incident, and this may be (and I hope it is) a one-time-only thing.  However, because of this incident, I will fore go the free service permanently.  
    This is in no way a reflection of the dealership end of the business, as they have always been professional and courteous toward us.

    I don't use the word "routine" with my State Inspection or with anything associated with Import Services or the Williford family. They are constantly finding new ways to WOW their customers.  Whether it is their attitude (which is always top-notch), something they see early that saves a customer $1000s down the road, or how they fix problems other so-called "fix it" or "shade tree" mechanics have caused, these folks continue to amaze and pleasantly surprise me.  I witnessed all the above scenarios in a 30 minute visit that day.  Folks are always ecstatic when they are told their problem was fixed for $650 instead of the $1800 quoted by a dealer (personal experience of a referral I sent over).
