  • It seems like they are used to dealing with a lot of patients at once, and it felt pretty impersonal, borderline rude. Compared to any other eye doctor I've been to, the staff act in an abrupt manner and seem overburdened. I was scheduled to see one of their providers for a first time appointment. I was early for the appointment. They called me back at the appointment time. I waited for the eye doctor in an exam room for about 15 minutes before a tech asked me if I was okay with seeing someone else. Since I hadn't been there before, it didn't really matter much to me, so I followed her to the other doctor's exam room. As she was walking out, I asked if there was a reason they needed me to switch. She said the first provider hadn't looked at his schedule properly and would have kept me waiting a lot longer. So I waited about another 10 minutes and then the other person came in to do my exam. He asked me if I'd try a different kind of lens because he thought I was an experienced contact lens wearer and he was curious about whether this new brand was any good. I declined because my current lenses are great and it's not like there was any medical advantage he was proposing that I'd get from doing it. After the exam, I waited another ten minutes until a tech was free to go over billing options with me. She was really nice. While I waited for her, some other staff chatted about how tired they were and that it had been a really busy day.
The office did appear to be quite busy, and most of the front desk staff do not seem comfortable or happy to see patients. Maybe I should have gotten the hint from the phone call I made to schedule. It was off putting that they asked all this personal information when I was on the phone before the first appointment, like wanting my social security number, asking whether I was married, saying that I probably could not get scheduled anytime soon. Unusual as compared to other eye doctors' offices in my experience. Got the impression they are used to dealing with a lot of nonsense during the workday and really don't like interacting with patients. I guess there is little incentive for their practice to be more friendly toward either their staff or clients because there is a limited number of optometrists in Goldsboro and they don't have to improve customer relations to keep people coming in the door. While I feel bad for their staff, I won't be going back.

  • He's great. The office staff is great. Dr. Blackman takes the time to sit down and talk to you. He's very personable and remembers things about you and your family. He's a good doctor. Sometimes they can get backed up and you can wait awhile. It's mostly because he's so personable and does talk to everybody.

  • I really enjoyed Haley. She was very informative and thorough. She took her time explaining things to me and addressed all my concerns. She went above Anne beyond to find out information on LASIK for me that she gave me at my kids appt a few weeks later.

  • Dr. Parker is very communicative, informative, and gives each patient however much time necessary to provide the best service. Sometimes that means a longer wait time, but her services are worth the extra few minutes. She is very friendly and I absolutely recommend her to anyone seeking eye care services.
  • The optometrist, Dr. Hayley Parker is the sweetest and most thorough doctor. She is very friendly, courteous, punctual, and has excellent bedside manner. I had trouble finding a new contact brand, and she didn't mind helping me figure out what the problem was. I purchased new glasses from there, which were very affordable, plus they allow you to pay half and order them, then pay the rest when they come in.
  • I would use them again in the future.
