Appliance Repair reviews in Gastonia

He came the first time on the 13th I believe b/c he had to order the part. Returned on the 19th put the motor in. It made one row of ice and stopped. We waited a few days to see if it would start. Phoned back and had to leave. We never received a call back. Someone is scheduled to come tomorrow.

completed satisfactory. Charge was unsatisfactory. Max retail price of part was $45.00. Could have bought at Lowes/HD for $$20.00. Reason for overcharge was they have to recoup all of the training for personnel, but why put all of that on me? Talked with M/J and did not come away happy. Sorry, but I would not have them to do work for me again no matter how good, professional and trained they are. Must need more money to advertise on TV. Added note: Waited two years to cool down before writing this review. Still steaming.

    Sears Appliance Repair
They did not notify us a day before as to when they were coming as the website stated. When they did finally called it was 15 minutes before arriving. They had to order a part and it has taken 3 weeks and they have not cared or done anything to try and get a drain hose here. All they say is call back in a week. When we do they say "Oh it's back ordered call back in a week", when we ask for a manager the rep states there is not one and when you press them they hang up on us. I did finally got hold of a manager and they claim I'm getting a refund. We'll see.

    Joe's Appliance Service
I have a couple of rental properties that have had appliances repaired. I have and will continue to use Joe as he is punctual, reasonable on price and reliable. I highly recommend Joe. To date he has fixed 2 ovens, and a refrigerator. He will let you know what he will fix if it is below a certain price (I believe its a $100 but don't quote me) and if it goes over, he calls and lets you know. The is also only a service fee if he fixes the appliance. THIS IS RARE IN THIS INDUSTRY and shows you how good of a repairman he is!

    Sears Appliance Repair
We originally had an issue with our gs stove and contacted Sears for repair. The repairman was excellent! only issue was having to take another day off from work since he did not have the needed part on his truck. We were so satisfied with the service that we made the mistake of signing up for their warranty service. We called the warranty folks with issues with our dishwasher not drying, microwave not cooking evenly and fridge not making ice and inside door not closing correctly. We were given two different dates for service to be performed since not all their techs are qualified to repair all appliances. The first date was scheduled between 8-5. When no one showed up by 5:15 I called the office and was told that I had the incorrect date that all repairs were scheduled the same date. The agent was not knowledgeable and not helpful so I asked to speak to his supervisor. After a 40 minute wait, he returned to the phone and stated all supervisors were in a meeting and that they would return my call which never happened! I called back the next day and spoke to a supervisor who advised me that they never had every supervisor in a meeting at the same time and apoligized. To make up for the days pay I lost due to Sears, she advised me that they would wave the $100 service charge for this visit. The next day a technician arrived on time, he heated water in the microwave and stated there was no problem with the microwave since the water heated. When I told him that it heated liquids ok, but cooked unevenly he stated that was all he could do to diagonose the problem. He then turned to the dishwasher which he stated required a replacement board that would be ordered and I WOULD HAVE TO LOSE ANOTHER DAYS PAY WAITING FOR HIM TO RETURN! He then requested the $100 service charge. I gave him the name of the supervisor I spoke to that stated the charge would be waived. He contacted his office and they had no record of the charge being waived. He then advised me that he was not trained to service fridges and I would have to wait for another tech. That tech showed up about 1 hour later, looked at the fridge and told me "making ice takes time" to which I replied that it never took this much time to make ice last month. He stated there was nothing he could do and turned his attention to the door issue which surprisingly enough he could not find a problem. I contacted the office to cancel the plan and was advised that if I canceled the plan the repair to the dishwasher would NOT BE COVERED even though the issue was reported and issue diagnosed when the plan was in effect and the "guaranteed repair" was not completed. Once again there was no supervisor available to speak to. Do not waste your money!

    Reliable Home Appliance Center
The repairman was here a total of 30 minutes, counting the time that he pulled in the drive and loaded his tools, coming and going. He diagnosed the oven as working properly. I phoned the repair shop and asked to speak with the owner, needing a better explanation for my $90 service fee. The representative I spoke with tried to give a better explanation but said the owner would NOT return my call. I was told I could email my concerns to the owner but that he was too busy to speak with me on the phone.

    Choice Home Warranty
Repair technician responded when promised. Determined the defective part. Collected the deductible. Gave me a receipt and promised a return as soon as the part came in. Very pleased with the entire process from the initial contact with the company all the way through the contracted repairmen.

    Goodwin's Appliance Svc
He can 10 minutes earlier than the appointment time, fixed both appliances in about 30- 45 minutes flat. Which I thought was Awesome since I had another appointment to get to and I did make it on time. He has a very pleasant and professional attitude, he is super fast and reliable. I will definitely be using him in the future.!!!

    Professional Appliance Service
DO NOT USE! This number takes you to a call center who dispatched John Jackson to repair my fridge. They wanted to take a credit card # over the phone to "hold" the appointment--first red flag--when I balked at this the person I talked to changed her tune and told me $50 for the service call would be due at that time. Mr. Jackson started out great, communicating his arrival and finding the issue. My mother met him and he told her it was $75 for the service call--2nd red flag-- and he had to order parts which would take 5 days. 14 days later I have to make two calls before he will return my call and I get the runaround about the part--3rd red flag but I was already out $75 and over 2 weeks in deep. The next day he schedules the repair for later that week--$204 although the service call was supposed to be deducted I was just glad to have it finally fixed after 3 weeks. Problem fixed, HOWEVER, in fixing one problem we discovered after he left he created another. When I tried to get him to come back he was dodgy on when he could and now won't return calls or texts. In trying to Google his "company" Star Appliance, they don't exist?? The phone number links to a Professional Appliance Service which has poor reviews--no wonder he is trying to change his business name. Steer clear!

    AAA U-Pay-Less Appliance Service
Made an appointment to come out Monday between 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM. After he did not show my wife called him and he said he was short of help and he would have to come out Wednesday. Not even courteous enough to call. Apparently does not have enough staff to cover appointments.
