  • First call was to a competitor - they couldn't 'work me in until the next day'.  Then I checked Angie's list - first time user.  Found local vendor.  He was at the home in about an hour.  The unit was running in less than 20 minutes.  He spent more time cleaning the unit than repairing it (it was in great need of cleaning).  He was so efficient and effective in working on the failed unit, that I asked him to clean a second unit, as well.  It was a much larger unit, took more time, but he charged the same standard cleaning fee ($40 per unit).
Also, he provided warranty information, and a free 30 day call back offer should the original unit fail again.  Part is warranted for a year. He was personable, yet professional and efficient.  He also took the time to answer questions about a second home HVAC system that I had serviced last month.  He provided very helpful information.
We have finally found a good HVAC vendor after having tried several over the past 15 years.  It is a father & son business, which might be why they provide such good service - I love small business owners who are good at what they do.

  • Called them to come out and look at 1st floor ac unit that was not cooling like it should. Notice the 1st floor of my home was only cooling to 76, while the 2nd floor was cooling to 74, even though it was 90 + outside it should still cool at least 20 degrees, Called Casey Services HVA, asked receptionist how much it would cost for them to come out and look at the system to tell me where the problem was. She said it would be $89 to come out and run diagnostic on it. Ok, that sounds fair, they are a local business. Service worker comes out in ripped pants, hooks up gauges to unit, says it's low on coolant. Coolant is $100 for 1st pound and 90 or 95 after that. Asked how much coolant it would take, probably 10 or 11 pounds. Let me also say, it was blowing cool air, but not enough to cool my house 20degrees. basically I could spend a 1K to fix nothing, How much is it to fix the problem. He said he could put nitrogen in it to find the leak, but then I could not use my air conditioning. Can't you find the leak without making my system unusable so that I am not without air if we need to order parts, since it is most likely the evaporator coil? He goes to the truck and I go inside just to check to see if the 90-100 per pound price is reasonable, next thing I know, he has some kind of sensor thing for detecting leaks and is telling me the evaporator coil is bad, Ok! I need an estimate and time frame on replacing it. estimate is just over $1,600. Ok then he show me the bill, - $89 diagnostic, $89 leak test and $71 to add NITROGEN pressure test ($89 Diagnostic, costs me $249 and leave my unit unusable while waiting to replace evaporator coil), Decided if the estimate works like the diagnostic charge, who knows how much I'll end up being charged. Ok, so I come inside after paying they guy, MY AC is set to run, so AC unit is on, not just the fan, and nitrogen is running through my system, which I was told not to do, Maybe he needed to do it for a test, but he should have set it back or told me. So I did call another company for a second opinion, They come out, said my system is overcharged now, run a leak test and say I need a new evaporator coil as expected.

The second company that came out, not Casey, charged me $79 for diagnostic which included diagnosing and leak test and finding the problem. Gives me a quote which is a little more, but they stuck to their word on the diagnostic, So the other Company has me on the schedule, but in the mean time, NO AC on my 1st floor because my system now has nitrogen in it..

  • I have been using them over the course of several years. I can call him and tell what the problem is and he will go out there, I don't have to go. He does really good work and I am very happy with his service. However, when he put in the central air conditioning unit, he did a very good work and we were happy with the punctuality and professionalism of his work. but later on, when we had to go up under the house for some reason, we found out that the duct work was not hooked to the new air conditioning unit in a good way. We weren't very happy about that.

  • Professional service was provided to ascertain the problems with our unit.   Mr. Brougard, submitted a detailed report of repairs/replacement by opening the hvac, the attic, and under the house. He, explained his findings in laymens terms.   At this time, we will decide what directions to take with further reviews about alternative measures.  So far, extremely satisfied, and would highly recommend this service Co.  To be continued.........

  • We bought a coupon from groupon for service back in January. When I called to schedule them, they couldn't give me anything until May 17th. They were scheduled to come between 2 and 4. They never showed up. I called a few minutes after 4 to see where they were and they said the service technician called in sick. I asked them when they can reschedule and they said July 3rd. I asked to speak to a supervisor and I left a voicemail and he never called me back. I called several times to confrim the appointment and never got through to anyone. I was continually put on hold for 20 minutes.

  • They are very good. I've had good experiences with them over the last several years. They seem to be very timely, punctual, and competent. They are professional in that they seem to know what they are doing and give good concise answers and explanations. When they are explaining to the customer what needs to be done or what the options are as far as replacing the system or repairing a system. Their price seems to be competitive with other companies we have used in the past. We had a problem and the guy stuck with it until it was fixed.

  • Appointment was scheduled between 9 and 11. Technician called at 9 to make sure I was home and arrived promptly. He explained everything to me as he did an inspection on the heat pump. Recommended replacing the blower capacitor since it was working at less than 50%. I ask about a service contract and he explained it to me. I purchased the contract to have them inspect it twice a year. I was extremely satisfied with the service and technician and would recommend Casey's to anyone needing service.

  • They are good. I didn’t pay anything during their last visit since it was under warranty. They apparently fixed the system when they came out. They took care of it. They are pretty honest. When we had to replace our furnace, we decided to check before the winter. So we had somebody else come out here and they told us that we needed a new one for the downstairs as well as the upstairs. I didn’t like the way they were talking. Honeycutt & Jones then came out and they said that we needed a new one for the downstairs, but the upstairs one was fine. It has been over a year and it’s still working.
