    The Rockel Group
We couldn't be more pleased with our experience selling our house with Katrina. We have actually worked with her buying a house before too, so I can safely say she is an exceptional professional no matter the capacity she is working in. She is responsive, knowledgeable, and no-nonsense. She'll tell you what's important and what's not to sell your house. She even showed her counseling skills a few times during the closing process; she was able to stay calm and help us get there too. :) I cannot recommend Katrina and her team highly enough!

    The Rockel Group
We had 7 showings the first week our house was on the market and had a full-price offer in six days! I give Katrina my highest recommendation! She is a true professional that cares about her clients and the work she does! She is extremely knowledgeable about the real estate market and applies that knowledge in developing an effective strategy to accomplish your goals. Katrina ensures the right services are available at the right time. No matter whether it's pre-market appraisals, contractor work, photography, house staging, or landscaping, she will tell you what is (and what's not) necessary to reach your goals and set you up with the best people to get the job done right. Her team at the Rockel Group are an obvious reflection of her passion and strategy. Katrina Rockel is the Real Estate Professional you want handling your next home sale!

Nash was very imformative of the work to be done, and gave us an estimated time to have it completed of 4-6 weeks. Even with rain for a coupledays. They were able to get it all done in 4 weeks. We are enjoying the extra room. He was very easy to work with especially with changes we made at the last minute. All of his workers were courteous and knowledgable of their job .Cleaned up when finished.

    Nash Locklear Construction
Started off strong with framing and then would disappear with little communication with us on what was going on. left the work areas a mess with boards and nails everywhere. We would get fed up and clean it up so our kids could play. Had to rearrange my father coming to stay with us because a four week project turned into a four month project. His estimates were horribly off. He said the bathroom vanity and top cost $400, when it reaally cost $400 for the vanity and an additional $209 for the top. The roof shingles do not match the rest of the house. There are gaps in the dry wall where some connect. Some doors are very hard to close. No one would be at the house or let us know it was being inspected so there were more issues. Mr. Locklear would not check the work of anyone under him unless an inspector made him or we complained. He would only come by if he wanted another payment. We finally said we had enough and finished the bathroom and floors ourselves.

    LAL&SonRemodeling/Repairs Co.
I needed a new deck, these guys came in and very efficiently tore down and removed the old deck and built me a beautiful new one! After seeing what a wonderful job they did with that I had them to remodel my bathroom and kitchen. I was very happy with their expertise, attention to absolute detail and professionalism. I also was happy to be able to hire a Veteran.

Mr. Clark gave an estimate over the phone. Once it was confirmed, he came by to do measurements and placed a border around where I wanted the cement slab. The next day, he came with an assistant and placed the frame for the cement down after leveling the ground. And during the following week, he came with a cement truck and set the cement in place. He was very professional the entire time and I would definitely use his service again if I need cement work done.

I am writing this to make you aware of the issues I am having with the brand new home I purchased 9 months ago.  Right now my biggest concern is the yard, but I will mention the other problems first. Thus far we have had a numerous amount of issues in our new home.  I will list them for you (some were taken care of by our builder while others have not been)...

    1. Driveway flooding and garage flooding to within 2 feet of the back wall. 2. Over 200 nail pops and numerous visible drywall seams (drywall crew was in our home for 3 days straight, then paint crew was in our home for 2 days...paint crew refused to prep /sand the walls because of the severity so drywall crew was called back in to sand/prep.) The builder told us they would come in again 1 month before our year was up and take care of any additional drywall issues.  3. Warped cabinets in kitchen with molding on top of cabinets falling off; vanities in full baths are dull, unsealed, and stain when things are set on them. (cabinets were fixed by cabinet makers...they told us they would fix the vanities, but builder told them to "hold off" on doing that...this was 5 months ago)  4. Unsightly patch job on front walkway 5. Warped siding on rear of house in 2 places 6. Cracked tub 7. Gutters were needed (not included with the house) because of huge stream of water falling right on front walkway when raining 8. Bedroom door rubbed badly on carpet.  Builder's response to my wife was "Just wait until your carpet wears down then it won't rub anymore"  9.  A/C unit stopped working right after move in due to improper installation. 10.  Right now 3 of our interior doors won't even catch because of how warped they are.

The biggest concern I have is with our yard.  We made our choice to purchase this house because of the size of the yard and that it was a corner lot.   We paid full price for the house and would expect that these problems would not exist.   I have never seen a brand new home's yard in this kind of condition.  I will mention the landscaper (Snow Landscaping) in another review, but since they are directly related to this builder I will add them in.  I am actually embarrassed when it rains (even when it doesn't ran) and others see my yard.  I am also upset that my son can't even play outside in the yard at least 48 hours after it rains, and in some places he can't even play at all because of the erosion, bumps, and unevenness.  When we first moved in our backyard and side yard was full of debris including rocks, large half-buried limbs, and the leftover cement from the masonry work for the house. Instead of removing the debris the landscapers decided to add more dirt (North Carolina sand, not topsoil) on top of the debris, bury it and seed (which much of the seed eroded away).  Their solution to alleviate the standing water in the driveway was to basically create a ditch with a Bobcat right near our house all the way to the back of our property.  We have had a very reputable landscaper that has been working in Fayetteville for 35+ years who was appalled at the condition of our yard.  He said that the entire yard needed to be dug up and actually graded lower than the house, cut to where the water flows between the property llines and the outside perimeter of the yard, rolled, and re-sodded.  He also stated that all of our sod has root rot because of too much water.  It is now dead, not dormant.  I have tried numerous times to have our problem addressed by our builder, but it seems like they only put "band aids" on the problem and never truly fix it (along with putting me off and putting me off).

I do not appreciate paying for a home and having these many problems.  This builder went very cheap with fixtures, doors, countertops, etc. and it shows.  They "looked" great during the walk-through, but the quality is far below what it should be.  I have to say that this home does have its curb appeal and the builder's website is fancy and colorful and very catchy...but the quality of our house shows that a pretty house and a nice website doesn't mean your house will be of good quality.

    Blaylock Builders
AMAZING! We began our remodel before our move when we closed on our home. Josh was there every step of the way, he answered all of my calls promptly and took extra time to help me shop for items that would better fit our needs.  As a military family, it is amazing to  find a company that we could trust to give fair honest prices, friendly people to work with right off the bat.  They are highly recommended by my family and very welcoming.

    Blaylock Builders
Doug Blaylock was fantastic. He was there for us every step of the the way. He helped us layout and design the exact building we wanted. He went out of his way to work with the county so we could get a permit to do the project. He made sure someone was here working every dry day we had so the job was completed as quickly as possible. I never had any trouble contacting Doug Blaylock and always got straight forward and honest answers to all my questions. If you need a great contractor you can stop looking because Doug Blaylock is who you are looking for.

I called the week prior and sent an email with address and phone number.  I called again today to verify Mr. Blaylock's arrival time.  I understand the man is working but he could at least be courteous and return a call, etc.
