Hvac Repair reviews in Denver

    Allied Aire Inc
I called and they promptly scheduled a service call for the next day. Tech arrived on time and began trouble shooting. When tech ran into some problems he called in extra help. Together they finally diagnosed problem - low on refrigerant (possible slow leak). Refrigerant and stop-leak were added. System is operating normally. The problem and proposed repair were fully explained and I authorized work and materials to fix before work was started. All was handled in a professional, courteous, and friendly manner. Cost was more than I expected, but I don't really have a good reference for this type of work. I feel the work done was appropriate for the problem and no unnecessary work done to 'pad' the bill. Another strong point was their office kept me informed of expected tech arrival time and a photo of the tech (email). So, I could easily identify their people when they came in their well-marked van.

We replaced our aged furnace and AC with much higher efficiency units. Jay was great in laying out the options and guiding us to the solution that would offer the best return on investment. Brandi was great with managing the paperwork and filing for rebates from Duke and PNG. Most importantly, Kevin, Steven and Ryan did an outstanding installation such that all went smoothly, no damage or surprises, perfect cleanup and we were hardly aware of their presence. They went out of their way to make it an easy and timely installation for us. Fabulous work in all respects!

    Morris-Jenkins
Morris-Jenkins' rep Nick B came out to my residence to analyze my uneven heating / cooling problems stemming from a poorly designed and installed, single zone crawlspace duct system installed by the home builder some years back. Nick indicated his previous background and experience was in the race car industry. He was involved in air-flow management and.design for NASCAR racing competitors. With that type of background he would most definitely be able to design a new duct distribution system that would satisfy our heating and cooling comfort needs year round. He came up with a unique design that was somewhat different from the other three contractors I spoke with. His detailed explanation and sketch made good sense and his pricing was in line with other quotes I received. Plus, he was replacing everything in the crawl space except the air handler, whole house filter and humidifier. Other contractors were not. So, all the old cardboard duct work and all the flex lines and plenums and strapping were removed, to be replaced by new state of the art equipment including adding a second zone and thermostat. I can truthfully say the my Morris-Jenkins rep did a great job of understanding my needs and designing a system that addressed those concerns. Morris-Jenkins was the last of four contractors that I received a proposal from and it certainly pays, as a homeowner, to do your research, so as to get perspective on the different ideas from various contractors on how they propose to solve your problem. Very happy I chose Morris-Jenkins to do my project. Very easy company to do business with. The installation crew completed the job in two days, Found them to be very tuned in to the proposed plan designed for my home. They were efficient, thorough, and courteous from start to finish. Did a great job cleaning up my sealed crawl space as well. They left it cleaner then it was before they started the installation. If you have a similar project, it's recommended to always have several contractors give you a proposal for the work, so you can better judge which contractor's solution best fits in with addressing your concerns. I would highly recommend that Morris-Jenkins should be one companies that you contact.

    Quality Comfort Heating
We've had them for many many years. They've come out twice a year; we have a maintenance agreement with them. They're here twice a year plus if we ever have an issue. But I've been using them for so many years I can't even remember how long, I've got a thick file on them. I've never had a bad experience with them, that's why we stayed with them for so many years. These guys are just awesome. They even do things like we got a gas fireplace so when they come over to do the winter tune up they clean out the gas fireplace and make sure it's working.I mean they just do little extra things for no charge at all. They've great people. They put in the gas water heater, furnace and the fire place. They do a lot of things.

    Horne Heating and Air Conditioning
The quality was good. I used them because they were able to come out right away. They charged me extremely highly for the part that they replaced which I later found out to be a lot cheaper. I would not use them again in the future.

    Integrity Heating & Cooling
They are kind of expensive but they do a good job. They come in twice a year for annual maintenance programs. They are incredible and I only use one guy there, his name is Ten and I only allow hm to work on my 5 units. I have been with them for 5 years. That is one of the reason I stay with them and pay their expensive  premium.

    Comfort First Heating & Cooling
The technician was extremely knowledgeable and efficient. He explained the services and history of the company but contrary to Morris Jenkins, whom we previously used, did not try to sell anything. My husband was especially impressed that he had been in the military. We will definitely use this company again.

    Climatech Heating & Cooling
Their technician came out, told us it was a blowout/big problem, that the oil leaked would degrade the life of the compressor, that the subsequent charge for finding the leak and fixing it could be $1,600, and that we should consider replacing our 4 year old unit. Their sales guy gave us a quote for a new system, but was surprised. When he discussed it with the boss, the boss called and only said, "So, you don't want a new system, are you ready to schedule the service?" I went with Custom Comfort in Denver who found the leak quickly in the first call for no fee and fixed it the next day for $425!!

Hodge Heating & Air of Lake Norman Inc
and after finding several other local big name companies weren't available for days, I came across Hodge Heating and Cooling. They dispatched a technician almost immediately, and I was pleasantly surprised to find the technician, Todd, found a faulty startup capacitor. Minutes later, he had the unit running. I found their costs reasonable and Todd gladly honored the Angie's List coupon. Very satisfied. Thanks, Todd!
