SG Painting Company Of Lake Norman, Inc.
I can't say enough good things about Scott and his team. I have hired them multiple times for various projects. Scott is very responsive when you contact him to get quotes. Scott and his entire team are professional and they show up when they say they will. All of the jobs they completed for me are high quality work. They have years of experience. When the work is done they clean-up well and do not leave a mess. Also, they are just nice people. It is hard to find someone who has all of these great qualities in the construction industry today. I highly recommend SG Painting.

    Painting & Moore
The painters where on time.  Everything seem to go well until I left to go out of town, (my daughter stayed until my husband got home from work).  The took so long in the living/dinning room, that they got up to the bedrooms later in the day.  They wanted to come back the next day, but my husband told them he would not be able to come home from work and they would have to  finish up on Saturday.  They asked if they could stay and finish.  My husband said yes.  They were there late in the night and my husband needed to go to bed.  I told him to tell them to get to a stopping point and come back in two days, because my trip got cancelled and I was heading home the next day.  When I met with Mr. Moore the next day, he was upset they stayed late because he was told my husband told them they couldn't leave until they were done.  This was far from the truth, my husband really didn't want to deal with painters in the first place.  Out of the four people there, only one could speak English, and it was a bad miscommunication.  Two of the painters came back and finished the job.  I heard Mr. Moore tell them to check really carefully and make sure it was perfect.  It's been over a month and I am still finding to touch up.  The paint they used, not sure if something was put in it to cut it or not, but it was a little sticky a few days later.  I took a picture off the wall the other day that I had hung on the wall a week after the room was painted, and it was sticking to the wall.
Mr. Moore was nice and wanted everything to be perfect.  After he confronted the workers about the miscommunication about them staying late, made me feel uncomfortable that he did it in front of me.  They appeared upset and mad at me after Mr. Moore left.  I never called him back about the touch up, i just fixed it myself.

House Doctors Handyman of Lake Norman
My 16'x28' deck needed to have all of the under-deck support structure power washed and stained prior to having new composite deck board and railing installed above it. Carl from House Doctors of Lake Norman did the actual work. On day one he showed up on time and got right to the task of washing the under-deck structure of my fairly large deck. Previous to House Doctor coming, I had my deck contractor strip off all the old wood surface boards, railings and lattice that would be replaced  in the renovation. At the same time, my deck builder also added any new wood support, posts lattice framing, etc. that would be needed for the new composite materials. I did this in advance of House Doctors so that when Carl started his work everything that needed to be stained would be in place.Carl took his time and pressure washed the joists, posts stair stringers, gate and all wood surfaces from just about every possible angle and did a through job, so much so that the wood looked like new. He also did a complete inspection of the joists and other areas under the deck to fill and patch any carpenter bee holes in the structure using steel wool and wood putty.

After letting the wood thoroughly dry as planned, Carl returned, on time to stain the deck, I chose to purchase the stain myself and was able to save 40% off regular price on Sherwin-Williams Super Deck solid stain during one of their sales. Also, consider using a water-borne (latex) stain instead of a semi-transparent. Solid stain will wear more like paint and last much longer than semi-transparent before it has to be renewed. For my purpose, the solid stain was the obvious best choice. It took about six plus hours for Carl to stain everything completely. We planned for two gallons of stain, but I purchased three gallons and every last bit was need. I was a little anxious about this job because House Doctors was new to this area, but after seeing the complete job start to finish, I now am confident that I made an excellent choice in picking the company for the job I needed to have done. Gwynna? and Sherri in the office were great on follow through and follow-up regard my project and Carl did an excellent job for me. Very satisfied, would highly recommend giving the Handyman company a try.

R and R Painting NC LLC
I contacted and received four bids for this job. I was impressed from the start with Randy's professionalism and obvious knowledge regarding painting. His price was fair and the work was done on time and as promised. The team went above and beyond anything I could have expected. They were on time, clean, professional, friendly, and expert painters. We could not be more pleased with the work that was done. I think the value we received was excellent and I would use R  & R painting again in a heart beat. I would also recommend Randy to anyone looking for a professional painting job. Randy even helped me choose the color of our paint. Additionally, he helped me secure a carpet cleaner who worked out great. If you need a painter for inside or outside your home or business R & R painting is the one to choose. Trust me, you will not be disappointed.

    Serpaco Painting
Everything went extremely well.  Chris was the project manager who always followed through and was always available for questions and ideas.  He helped guide me on the trim color which was awesome.
The crew who did all of the work did an outstanding job.  I have worked with a lot of different crews and home improvement people and comparatively I just couldn't believe the attention to detail and the time they put in to make it perfect.
I would highly recommend this company.

R and R Painting NC LLC
Randy was very prompt and we got an estimate on the spot not after a week of figuring it out. He had us go to the paint store and get one of their master color charts and pick out the paint we wanted. When we made a mistake (chose an interior paint to go on the porch trim), he called and suggested a better paint that we love for the porch trim. We went over estimate on the job but as soon as it was apparent to Danny (his foreman) and Randy that the walls having not been painted in 15 years were sucking up paint like a sponge, he called me. By now my confidence in him was such that I told him to do what was needed. He saved me every penny he could and still give me a great top notch job. Job was completed before his original time frame and he was always available to answer questions.
    Great job Randy and Danny!

Randy's crew showed up on time each morning. They performed their work in a professional manner. They were meticulous about the work they did and any questions I had were immediately addressed.  Each day they cleaned up after themselves and did not leave a mess.  Randy came by regularly to check on things and always asked my opinion about the quality of the work.

CertaPro Painters of Hickory & Catawba Valley
I am a one color type person and my wife is much more aggressive when choosing colors for the interior of our home.  CertaPro came to our home twice to assist us with the color scheme.  Painting turned out GREAT and the color choices were even better.  Highly recommend and will use again!

    Serpaco Painting
Serpaco did an outstanding job in all respects, on both the main and lower levels.  The effort made and appearance of their extensive repairs were better than the original construction.  They more properly anchored some loose moldings, detected and fixed tiny cracks, and found things that we didn't spot.  Upon completion of the repairs, Serpaco joined us in searching all areas for any missed spots or patches that could be improved.  All our (few) suggestions were greeted with immediate remediation and no defensiveness.
The painting process went exactly the same.  In areas where there was even a slight change in tone, two coats wer applied (this included all woodwork and ceilings).  Even where we kept the identical color, if the first coat didn't quite cover to their high standards, a second coat was applied.  Serpaco itself, and then with us, searched all areas thoroughly for any spots that needed touch-up.  Again, these were all addressed with no defensiveness, even though we were "picky".
We were very surprised in this day & age as to the very hard effort put forth at all times.  Serpaco was timely, paid attention to schedules, and always offerred sensible suggestions.  The painters hardly took any breaks and worked long hours.  One of the owners came in to examine progress most days and there was one on-site manager there all the time.  They clearly tried to do the best job possible and were proud of their work.  Everything was done with the highest quality that I have experienced in my many decades of having work done in my various homes.  In regard to neatness, the entire floor and shoemoldings were covered.  There was only a very minor amount of small paint spots on the floors (much less than in my past experiences).  What spots there were usually arose during the final touch-ups.
In terms of value received relative to cost, they are clearly worth it.  They weren't the highest or the lowest proposal that we got, and I think the final cost was reasonable for all of the work done (including some extras done at no more cost).
