    Every time I have been to Dr. Smith she explains what she is going to do ahead of time and is very detail oriented.  She always has a way to calm any anxiety.  Dr. Heather Smith and her team are very friendly and professional.  I highly recommend Dr. Heather Smith.

    She is excellent. I've been seeing her for two years. It took me a long time to find her. Her office is very good, including the eye care service. It is expensive for me now, it wasn't when I was working. It cost me $800 for glasses.

    All office staff were personable and it was a pleasant space to wait in until appointment. Our insurance provider had a slight hiccup and Friedman eye care chose to still see us as patients with the trust that the insurance issue would be rectified by the time we left our appointment (which it was). Dr. Friedman was humorous and easy to speak with. He put me at ease and the entire process was painless. We were fitted for glasses and ordered a pair. That was super easy and the glasses were ready within a week. HIGHLY recommend!

    He is good. We had that really bad snow and I had to call back and forth and change my appointment. They were so sweet about that. I like the comfortableness. When you go in there they treat you like a real person. When you call on the phone, you get to talk to a real person. He takes his time and explains things about your eye. He is very easy and not in a rush. He is so good about taking the time and explains things so that a layperson can understand. He knows I've had cancer, so he is really good about checking everything in my eye. He is excellent.

    My Mom had been using a different eye doctor (I had used the same one). He waited too long for the cataract surgery. We had lost trust in him and his staff (terrible staff). I found Dr. Royce Syracuse (Horizon Eye Care) through Angie's List. Dr. Syracuse has THE best bedside manner. His staff treats you like you are part of their family. I wish I had joined Angie's List sooner.

    The exam and experience in the office was fine. Ordered new glasses and had to wait 6 weeks for them. Apparently the lab that makes the lens kept getting the prescription wrong. After 6 weeks I received them but the were still not correct. Was told to wear for a week and if they still seemed wrong to come back. They have been returned and I am still awaiting the new prescription.

    I was very pleased as to how fast I was able to get an appointment with Dr. Rouse. Hardly any waiting time in the office at time of appointment! Could not even read a few lines in a magazine, and I was called. Staff, nurse, everybody is very helpful and friendly.

    Overall experience was good. Staff could be more friendly and show an interest in selecting the best product for you. Very staid, no emotion. Just a very mediocre experience with staff other than Dr Lafone.

    I called to make an appointment with Dr. Friedman based on a referral from a friend. When speaking to the scheduling staff, I specifically asked if Dr. Friedman accepted my insurance, which the scheduler assured me that he did. I then asked if she could confirm that we were eligible for all the services (exam, glasses) that we were coming in to use. She told me that they would confirm and call me in advance if there were any problems. The earliest mutually convenient appointment was approximately 2.5 weeks out. I did not receive a phone call before the appointment so went in as scheduled. UNfortunately, we were turned away at the front desk because Dr. Friedman does NOT in fact accept my insurance and no one from the practice had bothered to call us to correct their error in saying that he did (or even to confirm the appointment!). While the manager was apologetic, I felt that she had not really heard or processed my frustration because she glazed over the issue with broad-brushed apologies and pleasure that we initially called based on a referral. She also suggested we contact our HR servicing department to somehow change our insurance provider so that the Doctor would be able to see us- something that I don't really care to spend time doing. We already had a great deal of time wasted on this appointment, why add to it? We then made an appointment with another practice who had availability the next day and was happy to accept our very common insurance policy and subsequent $700 visit.
