Not good. Days after the work was done we noticed cracks in the steps and he eventually sent a worker out to fix the cracks, but he did not communicate to us when the worker was to come out. Then a few days later we noticed cracks around the same spots that were repaired and we were told to read the contract and that they could not be expected to fix all the cracks.

Mark Personius has the ability to give people vision to a project and helped us to decide what we were looking for and what the cost would be. There were times when things would change on the construction and Mark was there to explain what needed to be done and why. For example, when the old deck was removed the was a moisture problem under the siding which needed to be dealt with, the siding had to be removed, the moisture problem addressed and new siding and trim was replaced. We liked the fact that Mark was there in the morning 30 minutes before his workers and was here every night when I got home from work. Mark also installed a new set of double doors which opened to the screened in porch. We also had Mark build us a deck adjacent to the porch for grilling and entertaining. This was not a small project and it was handled professionally by Mark and his workers. If a person needs help or vision for a construction project I highly recommend giving Mark Personius a call.

    Woodlands Outdoor Living
As with the initial patio install (which included a pergola and brick steps from the back door down to the patio), this job also went smoothly and we love the finished results!
This was "phase 2" of our backyard redesign with Woodlands.  Both projects were completed on time and exceeded our expectation.  Scott had great ideas of what to do with the space when we were first considering the project and it was fun to work with him on the final plans to bring the ideas to life.  The other contractors we had over to provide quotes did not have the same creativity that Scott did, so when it came time to finish the project with the walkway and planter, we went right back to Woodlands.
Would not hesitate to recommend Woodlands!

Object was to replace poorly designed chase pan and stop water leak. Hopefully their work will stop leak. We appreciated their getting this done quickly, but the cost was very high. The chase pan they fabricated and installed cost $665. I have discovered I could have had one like it made for half that. Also they charged $540 for labor. Two of them were at the house working less than 6 hours.

Jerry was easy to contact and promptly came to provide estimate. He knew his trade and instantly noted what needed to be done. Said that he had 1,200 shades of mortar and would carefully match the shade to mine. Said that he or his son would do the work. Suggested additional work around other areas of the house, including placing a copper cap on the chimney and checking all the vent collars on the roof. Estimate was pricey at first but was able to get Jerry to focus just on the work that was needed and we negotiated a reasonable price. He was unable to come on the day he planned and sent two others the next day, John and Julio, who worked for him. John is an experienced brick mason who was very competent. They used scaffolding and standard mortar without any attempts at shading but the match was fine. John showed good attention to detail and applied 2 coats of sealer on the chimney crown. They did a good job at a reasonable price. Jerry appears very competent and wants to do a good job. It's good idea to clarify in writing what will be done before agreeing to any work.

    Bill Randall Brick Mason
He came to the house, assessed the situation and told me he would call me after he has had a chance to put together an estimate. He never called and I found another brick mason. Bill called me after I found someone else and said he found my contact information under the seat in his truck. He had trouble remembering who I was or any information about the estimate.

Fireplace has had stone continue to fall off. Took over a year for the company to replace them. Now the statue of limitations has run out, and they won't fix it. The bathroom remodel was a disaster. My counters and tub were damaged damaged during the installation due to careless workmen placing tools on them uncovered. They also put saws and tools on my Tempurapedic bed, using it as a work station. After a long, drawn out miserable process, the whole shower leaked. They tried to blame the glass installers. I was awarded a judgement in small claims court against them for breach of contract. Do not use them!

They came out right away to provide a quote and Dan was very detailed in describing the products they use and the care they take.  The quote was itemized and the price was reasonable vs. other quotes I received so I felt confident I knew what I was getting for my money.  The cost of having them prime and do point up wasn't too much more so I opted to add the additional services.
They were easy to schedule, polite, and prompt to arrive.  While they worked quickly, I felt like they took some short cuts.  They didn't cover the floors/furniture while they hung the drywall.  Not a big deal, but I was told they would.  They didn't put plastic over doorways until they sanded -  would have been nice to have that done from the start to keep the dust out of the other rooms.  They also used one of my light fixture boxes for their waste mud despite it having parts and paperwork inside.  We also found we had to monitor their work closely because they dry walled over three electrical boxes and didn't fully cut out two drain clean outs.  Luckily, we noted where everything was so they could correct this.
Overall the dry wall looks good - the big let down was the priming and touch up.  Again, nothing was protected prior to painting, and an area were missed.  While they did clean up the over spray, I feel like the service wasn't that valuable and I probably could have done just as well myself.  I'm not sure the touch up was worth it either because we still have areas where the dry wall bulges from being cut too small, moves from being under secured, and a poor patch job.
Dan was very apologetic about the mishaps that occurred.  And really, if it was only or two of these things, I'd be more understanding.  But when taken into consideration together, it becomes disappointing.  If I were to do it again, I would just hire out the install, tape and mud and be sure to monitor more closely.

Paragon was the 4th contractor we contacted for the job, and the only one that provided a 3-D CAD drawing of the design, before requiring us to sign a contract and put down a hefty deposit.  Jason was very responsive to our questions, overall plan ideas, budget and timeframe.  We had a small hiccup midway through the project when Paragon pulled the mason crew to another job, pending inspection of our job, but Jason made up for the delays by putting extra crews on the job to finish the work before Christmas.  The end result is exactly what we were looking for and is beautiful. All crews were professional and did a good job cleaning up and leaving our property as close to the original condition as possible.  Jason and Jonathan went out of their way to be on-site as much as possible to address our questions and concerns as the job progressed.  They were flexible with our requests to change a few plants and lighting locations after the project had started.  We are looking to contract with Paragon for ongoing lawn maintenance and would definitely use them again for any masonry work or additional landscaping.

It was great. Jerry and his son Mark started when they said they would. This was a very large project. The steps are over 12ft wide plus walls on the side of the steps are over 5.5 ft tall.  Day one started with digging the foundation out to try and lift the steps into place with a hydraulic jacking technique.  Unfortunate the original foundation was two thin and cracked making the steps non repairable. This caused them to completely tear out the steps and pour a new foundation and pin it to the existing foundation.  They matched the mortar perfectly and built a new set of steps and they look great.  Even with all the work Jerry never asked for more money and kept to his original quote to do the job. He even fixed other issues around the house. I would use him again, and plan to with another project in the future.
