With "other" builders (over 2 years in the making now) we've had mixed results and hesitation (ours), but after speaking with RHI (Charlie & Don) multiple times, seeing a couple of their homes being built in various stages and a completed home, multiple plans, etc., RHI has put our hesitations at ease. We were supposed to start building in January 2018 but (no fault of RHI) we've halted for now as we have a little more work to do on our end. I feel compelled to comment now though, that they are professional, courteous and always willing to answer any/all questions. They've invested a lot of hours on our project and never once made us feel it was a 'money up front' game or pressed us to commit (although they offered very helpful options if we were ready to move forward). What impressed me the most is Charlie (the owner) may not always say what you want to hear, but his answers are in your best interest and he's as honest as they come. As soon as we have everything on our side ready, we'll be back finalizing our home plans and getting started on our dream/forever home. We may not be building this month, but our builder search is complete and we're glad we're waiting out of choice and not hesitation. Thanks Charlie & Don, we'll be talking to you again very soon!

Very satisfied with this company. Went above expectations with replacing board using the waterproofing product. Would recommend for any type of handiwork necessary. Would definitely use again.

This company charges a high amount, and gives shotty workmanship. They subcontracted a carpet installer, who installed a lot of carpet in my neighborhood, and not one of us was happy with the results. The day they installed, I walked in and could see every seam in the carpet. If you order something, and then they don't install it correctly, they will come back and tell you it is against code, which seems to be there way of not wanting to fix it.

    Wow what an awesome job.
Tim (owner) came through and gave me an estimate (one of three). He was also the only one who from the start discussed getting necessary permits. He had his electrician and plumber come in and verify that the remodel COULD be done within code in the limited space I had available.
The job took about 2 weeks and included 2 visits from 3 separate inspectors (electrical/mechanical, plumbing, general/overall).
He was able to accommodate a couple of extra changes (venting the original full bathroom fan outside and added flooring to the kitchen and laundry room.
    This is a beautiful job.

Our experience with this company was a pure pleasure.

Let me preface this by saying that what we started with was a two acre plot in the corner of a wheat field, so this truly was a scratch built house. The reference originally came from the architect we hired, also found on Angie's list. Being first time home owners all around, we had no idea really what we were getting into

. So the first item on the list of things that are incredible about them: they're patient. They're attentive. They were genuinely concerned with making sure we got exactly what we wanted.

Knowing what things cost is very important. It makes the expectation of the end product realistic. That said, James knows what things cost! He was able to provide a very close estimate, and worked really hard with his subcontractors to get us the most bang for our buck. And he never hesitated to offer an upgrade as long as it was within budget, either. He kept his eyes and ears open for deals on finishes that we never would have been able to afford otherwise. Examples include the Carrara Marble that finishes our master shower, tub, and bathroom counter tops when what we thought we could afford was ceramic and select red oak floors when we were sure we could only afford engineered hardwood. In fact, he managed to do so well saving us money we were able to get a whole house sound system and still have money leftover at the end of the project.

All of my calls, voicemails, text messages, and emails were returned in a timely fashion. And there were many.

. Well, the house was built, from the ground up, in about five months, between October and March. Read: WINTER. Wet, soggy, cold, muddy carolina winter. Impressive.

James and his staff were present, timely, and while they moved efficiently, they were always welcoming and would answer any questions we had whenever we asked. James even went tile shopping with me when I became overwhelmed and generally stressed out. That was really very nice of him to spend his morning helping me decide the fate of my bathrooms before I had a total melt down. He even learned my tastes after a short time and was able to filter the options. And when I couldn't decide, he always came up with the perfect solution.

In summary, our house is beautiful. It's everything we ever dared to dream it could be. I don't think we would have even gotten close if it hadn't been for the kind of service JC Builders provided.

Paul came to view the job and gave a reasonable estimate.  His crew came within a week and completed the job in a very professional and timely manner.  It was very obvious that attention to quality was the primary concern of his craftsman.
We were VERY happy with the work performed and will definitely be using Paul and Trinity Home Construction for future projects.

Pat is great. He's an all around really nice guy who is very honest and direct. He does written contracts and sticks to his word. I'm pleased with the work we had him do and I will call him in the future when we get ready to do our back yard and need cedar. I've seen his work and it is stunning. I honestly wish we had been able to have Pat as our general contractor.

It went exceedingly well and I couldn't be happier!  This was my third project working with Buddy and I was once again extremely thankful that I chose to work with him!  From the first time I worked with Buddy, it was clear that he was committed to building a long-term relationship of trust and confidence.  Well, that relationship has been win-win for both of us because the level of detail, time and care he puts into every job is extraordinary!
When the opportunity arose for me to build another store this year, one thing I did not have to worry about was finding a new builder!  Buddy had not only proven his capability and uncompromising commitment to excellence, but most importantly to me, he had proven his character.  Buddy didn't tell me what he thought I wanted to hear, he told me the truth, he earned my trust and has not let me down!  Now, after three projects working together, I have never been more confident or eager to give the highest recommendation I could possibly give, my continued repeat business!
Buddy is very friendly, has a wonderful family and is also very professional and respectful of time.  When we met to discuss the project he was very organized, a great listener and didn't try to interject his own preferences or steer the project in a way that would benefit him, like many other builders I talked too.  Buddy listened, asked good questions and made the vision for our new store a reality!
Communication with Buddy was outstanding!  We talked through most major decisions at the job-site but frequently spent time talking on the phone as he kept me up to date daily.  Buddy always followed up with an email to recap our discussions to avoid any miscommunication and to make sure we were on the same page.  There were no hidden or surprise fees in any project we've done and this project actually came in under budget!  Buddy did a very good job of organizing sub-contractors' work and schedules and he worked closely with them to maintain a clean, organized and safe job site.
In the end, it doesn't matter which room I walk into: the kitchen, a bathroom or our dining room, I can see Buddy's fingerprint of excellence and extreme attention to detail and it makes me smile!  I smile because I know that it's so much more than a job to Buddy, and it's so much more than a project to me!  Our new store is beautiful and it is another outstanding product of Buddy and AC Lynn Homes!

Mr. Finney and his son Drew came to look at my house and had an estimate for me on the work within 2 days.  The crews arrived when they said they would, worked hard through very cold weather, did an excellent and thorough job of the work, and cleaned up after themselves.  I am very pleased with the end results.

The things that made this experience really stand out were Mr. Finney and Drew's willingness to meet with me in a fashion that accommodated my irregular work schedule, their ability to point out ways to have the necessary work done in ways that would save money without sacrificing quality, their willingness to listen to me and take my preferences into consideration while still giving me the benefit of their experience and education, and the obvious pride they take in their work.

It is also of note that the estimate they gave me was accurate, although I understood that the quantity of material that would have to be used might go up or down because of the nature of the repairs.  Even though part of the job was replacing rotten materials and the actual amount of damage wouldn't be clear until demolition started, the final price was within 2% o the amount quoted.

He did 2 projects. He charged $4000 for one of them, and $2000 for the second one. He can do everything. He fixed a plumbing issue, a leak, and the siding. He put up gutters. He painted. He has been doing a great job for me, so I give him the business every time. After I closed the last house, it was on the market in 3 days because I called them up and told them when I was going to close it. He got in there, and he even paid the garage door guy. I didn?t have to make a separate trip for that, and I just paid him back. He knew exactly what I was trying to do, and he was all about getting that house ready so I could get it rented. He is fabulous. He gives me alternate or cheaper options for things like siding, and he only charges me a miniscule amount for fixing in such cases.
