Clyde HVAC Contractors Reviews

"The young man from
Clyde HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
& Cooling, Inc. called before arriving and arrived at the time he said he would be here. He was courteous, respectful of our property (wore slip-on covers to his boots while in our house), and thorough in his examination of our furnace. He showed me a defective coil and demonstrated its voltage loss. It was right at the minimum required to function properly. I elected to replace the coil. It cost $88 for the coil. Everything else was in good order, and he left me a filter to replace ours when it became dirty.
"At firsr service was satisfactory. Then for the last few years,
Clyde HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
would send a different serviceman who was not familiar with our system requiring us to explain and educate him on our system. About that time we found out that ownership of the company had changed. Then we had a % ton heat pump fail and could not get service. I had to call another company to replace the unit at a cost of $7,000. I wrote a letter to
Clyde HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
and have yet to get a response. We cancelled our long standing office n and home service contract with
Clyde HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
. I cannot recommend this company!
Clyde HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
had to install a special part, some kind of a heater around the housing of the unit, because it kept freezing up under certain weather conditions and finally the fan stopped working altogether. From how I understood it, it was a glitch in the engineering of the unit that caused it to freeze under those certain weather conditions. It worked fine for several months after he installed the heater, but then it stopped working again.
We called
Clyde HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
again and he diagnosed that because of the original problem of it freezing up, the whole fan assembly had broken. He got the part and fixed it and
Clyde HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
paid for the part and the labor, because it was faulty from the beginning.

Also, after I explained to
Clyde HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
that also the auxiliary heat mode did not seem to work properly either, he found a wire was misconnected in the air handler, (inside unit) and he fixed that and, although we did not have to use the heat much after that because weather got warmer, it seems to be working the way it should have from the beginning. Time will tell.
"Trouble started the SAME month it was installed. Then the dealer who installed it went out of business. The supposed problem was finally repaired by another dealer in about Nov. 2012, and it cost us almost $200. It worked ok for awhile and is now not working again. Their corporate seems not very caring when I speak to them. They want me to call the dealer again, which I have to do in order to see what is wrong, but if he charges for a service call, I will not have him come out. I don't feel we should keep paying for a near $6000. heat pump when it was not working right from the beginning. I am very unhappy with
Clyde HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
and will not use again not or recommend them.
"Came within said time. Entered house first putting on protective shoe covers. Did job very professionally.
