    Meineke Car Care Center
I'm was a first time customer to Meineke and last week I brought my car in to the Clemmons shop to have them check out the car's cooling system. After diagnosing the problem, they replaced the water pump. As the work was to take a few hours, I left. They called me a few hours later and said that the work was completed but while test driving the car, the power steering had apparrently gone out. I spoke with Brett who told me it would take a few days to order the parts needed and so they needed to keep the car over the weekend (this was a Thursday.) As it turned out there was a delay in getting the necessary part(s) due to Hurricane Florence. Long story short - they called today and told me they'd fixed the power steering and the car was ready for pick up. Brett offered to come get me as he knew from our prior conversations that I didn't have a ride during the day because my wife works. The cost for the water pump replacement was reasonable but much to my surprise, they DID NOT charge me for the power steering work! I have never seen an auto repair shop do that! I'm sure we've all heard stories about shady repair shops that always manage to find something else wrong with a car besides what you brought it in for and then charging you an arm and a leg to fix the problem. Judging by my experience with Meineke, I can unequivocally say that they do not do that. I have now found an auto repair shop that I can trust! I will definitely use Meineke in the future should the need arise.

    ROGER MARION'S VILLAGE AUTO REPAIR
The worst repair shop ever! These guys are crooks and liars and did a horrible job. Took my car in for a simple oil change. They called and told me the oil pan nut was stripped and I needed a whole new oil pan. They claimed it was that way when I brought it in. Since the last oil change had been done at a different shop and because Roger Marion came recommended from a friend I believed them. I had no choice but to pay to have it fixed. When I brought it home I noticed an oily liquid on my garage floor so took it back up there. I figured it was just spilled oil dripping down after the engine cooled but wanted to make sure. Then they said it was my CV boots - suddenly they were cracked and leaking when I had never had any issue with the car before. Again no choice but to have it fixed. One month later the car is making a horrible noise, so I take it back. This time they say the timing belt is shot and I was told I was lucky to make it in. $700 later I pick the car up and on the way home it is making a horrible racket. Not the same noise but just as bad. I turn around and go back and ask for an explanation. The mechanic says it is the power steering pump and he noticed it was loud when he parked the car after replacing the timing belt. So why didnt he tell me this before I drove off? He then tells me it is unrelated to the work they did. Sounded sketchy since the car was great before I took it to them so I pushed back but they insisted they didnt touch the power steering pump. I left unsatisfied and determined to find a good mechanic. Upon doing some research and talking to multiple mechanics I found out is IMPOSSIBLE to change the timing belt without removing the power steering pump. Liars! I called them on it and said I wanted it fixed at no charge. The mechanic admitted he had moved the pump but the owner simply said he wouldnt stand behind it and didnt want to do business with me anymore. What a thief!! Absolutely the worst experience ever. I firmly believe they caused all the issues with my car including stripping the oil pan nut. Cant say if they did it purposefully or just completely inept but the result is the same. Sad!

    CROWFOOT SERVICE CTR & TOWING
Went great. I'm the type that I usually do all repairs and up keep on my own. Due to lack of time I had to finally buckle down and Vet a mechanic. I trust these guys to do a good and fair priced job. And they do every time. I would highly recommend to any of my friends and family members. Thanks guys.

    Randy Marion Chevrolet Buick Cadillac
I saw a used car advertised on their web site for $7,801.  I went down to the dealer, test drove the car, and made an offer.  The sales man went back to speak with the manager and came back with their counter:  $9,270!!!!
Remember: the car was listed as $7,801.
I was fully anticipating having to pay a few hundred for taxes, tag, title, etc.  But I wasn't expecting that the dealership would add to the price of the car BEFORE calculating taxes, tags, title:  $770 for the work they did on sprucing up the car and another $699 for dealer processing fee!
They showed me (but didn't allow me to keep) a summary that looked like:
    Sticker price:                                                                            $7,801
Refurbishing (I don't recall what their exact label was):      $770
    Dealer processing fee:                                                               $699
Sub-total BEFORE taxes, tag, title                                        $9,270
Adding over $1,400 to the advertised sticker price is just plain dishonest marketing.  That's nearly a 20% mark-up.  If they felt like that made $770 - $1,400 worth of improvements to car the car, fine.  Then they should have advertised it for $9,270.  Not $7,801.
    I walked away.
    And I'll stay away.

By the time they checked out our vehicle, it was well past closing. They offered to drive us to a relative's house and ended up staying almost an hour late so someone could pick us up.   The next day, our vehicle was ready at the time they had given, and the price was even lower than the quote.   Greenville is the home of East Carolina University, so if you have children there, we highly recommend this place. They also have a location down 10th St., not far from the university.

    Flow Honda Service Center
A service person went over the car prior to service, priced out what was needed, helped decide at car's age what needed for maintenance without pushing unneeded services. Offered to set up loaner car for me or shuttle service. Made appointment, car was completed before they said it would be and ready for pickup. A very important point for me, female gender, is that none of the service persons spoke to me like I knew nothing about cars, talked down to me or tried to push extra services on me. It really became an education for me as he explained in detail what was going on with brakes and rotors. Pick up was quick, efficient and cost was as I was told. Would use again.
