  • WONDERFUL!!  What a special experience! The Spa was clean and inviting and someone came to see us and confirmed our appointments and once we picked our colors they were ready for us. Everything was great ! It was a luxurious experience with nail moisturizing with heating sleeves after removing old gel, to covering our hands with finger less mittens to protect our skin from the UV lights. The tools were in sterile individual packages and I was even offered a beverage! Then there was the hand massage, the shoulder/neck message and hot towel rinse off. My nails turned out beautifully and they do nail art as well-check out their website for photo's. While I was there I observed a woman having a pedicure-they use disposable sleeves in the basins and the chairs are message chairs too. This is definitely the nail spa or me

  • I loved them.  I've been using them for probably five years.  They usually finish the job about an hour.  Some are just extremely excellent and some are just average so I just get scheduled with the good girls.

  • I've been going to Lan for a few years now and am very happy with the job she does on my gel fill ins, pedicures, and eyebrow waxing.  I've also had work done by her husband, Eric.  I went to several salons before finding them and highly recommend them because they do great work, are very professional and friendly, and have a nice salon with a relaxing atmosphere.

  • My appointment was already booked so they told me to head to the back where I sat down to have a glass of water with fruit. Within a few minutes, my manicurist said that she was ready. I proceeded to the back where she prepped my fingers and massaged my hands. She was thorough and paid attention to details. My nails looked great.

  • My daughter and I went here for manicures and pedicures. I was happy with the service but my daughter was not so lucky. We were sitting side by side, so I noticed when she cried out in pain while the technician was working on her toes. She asked the woman to stop, saying that her toes were sensitive. The woman actually argued with her, saying "no", that she needed to "dig it out." It was only after my daughter kept repeatedly requesting her to stop, that she finally did. I looked over and noticed at this point that her toe was actually bleeding around the cuticle. Forward 24 hours and she developed a painful, red and swollen infection around both cuticles on her big toes. Fortunately, neosporin and bandaids relieved the infection in about 48 hours. However, this definitely concerns me on two counts: (1) that the technician would not stop when requested and (2) that perhaps the instruments are not sterilized between clients. I don't think I'll go back to this place.

  • I have visited VIP Nails several times now, and work with Eric on my acrylics. The staff members are cordial and efficient. I feel like I good get value for my money. My recent pedicure - my first at this location - was very good except that I had a couple of ingrown nails which were not properly addressed. I will say it was the best foot massage of this type I've ever had!

  • The Spa is not very clean and is disheveled. Half eaten, pitted cherries sat in an open napkin by the window. At one point an employee came out with huge basket of towels and proceeded to fold them in the middle of the salon. If you are going for spa treatment, the area for waxing is not enclosed, except by a sheet like curtain. The staff were pleasant to unfriendly. My daughters' staff person was quite rude while talking loudly to a customer (berating neighboring communities) and it took three times for co-worker to tell her to start on a manicure before she would stop gossiping and start. Don't look for any hand/arm massage with your manicure. Their work was brief, a bit sloppy and uninterested. With so many nail salons to choose from that are considerably better, I would definitely not go back to My Island Spa. My experience was so bad that I did not leave a tip

  • This was well worth the drive out of my way to go to! The staff was very friendly, professional, and best of all did a tremendous job! I love to get french tips, however they tend to chip away within a few days and most often last only about a week. When i was in we did french tip on both my finger and toe nails and a week later they still look fabulous! There are no signs of chipping or peeling, which i normally complain about after spending such a high price! In between services they also give you a small backrub, which helps you continue to relax!
I loved the options provided for the pedicure and did splurge for an upgrade, as they include either a 15 to 25 minute reflexology massage to the service!
A++ and will certainly be going back!

  • The reviews around the web about this salon were glowing. I honestly could not believe that I was at the same place so highly spoken of by others. The first time I went by and almost went in to give them a try, the cold looks I got by the employees scared me off. I thought maybe it was close to closing time, and they were afraid they'd be stuck with a latecomer. I finally got the courage to try again last week in the late afternoon. I honestly have no idea how they stay in business - the customer service was horrible.
The minute I came through the door, I was greeted by a frazzled nail tech who looked up from her work with a customer just long enough to give me a look and say, "Can I help you." I felt like a fool, as the other employees all just stared at me as if I had three heads. I gave my request, and they told me to pick a color from a rack hanging on the wall. Then I waited on a couch that had some crumbs from someone's kids all over it. It took about half an hour to be seen.
The work that I had done does look great - they clearly have skill, and the prices were very reasonable. But the entire time I was there, which was about an hour and a half for a simple manicure, I was stunned by how rude and snide the employees were. I basically had orders barked at me anytime they needed me to do something.
It was very difficult to communicate with the employees, as nobody that I heard spoke much English. Any customer that came through the door was given the same cold or smirking looks by most of the staff. The chairs they had at their stations were torn in places and looked awful, and employees were yelling out at their kids who were running around the shop the whole time.
I was embarrassed and uncomfortable almost the entire time I was there. I tried to make light conversation, and be patient, but I got the distinct impression that the employees couldn't have cared less about the customers. I was so relieved when it was done and I could leave. Maybe you get what you pay for. Even with as nice as my nails look, it wasn't worth enduring the displeased attitudes of the staff.
I can't remember the last time I felt like service employees were inconvenienced and almost offended by having customers come through their doors. I'd never go back.

  • The first time around a couple of years ago, had a massage therapist called Michael that was excellent. Told him were my problem areas were and he made sure that he was helping me with those areas. This time around, unfortunately I had forgotten his name so they scheduled me with a therapist called Amanda. She also did an excellent job. Synergy Spa has a great, calming atmosphere. Both of the therapists I used were excellent and I would not hesitate to use either of them again.
