Tooth Extraction reviews in Cary

  • they understood how much pain I was in and treated me as an emergency patient, fitting me in during a busy schedule so I could be treated before my Sabbath. He was kind, compassionate and understanding and treated me with the utmost respect. Dr sat down with me to explain the pros and cons of different ways of treating the failed root canal and the pain I had been dealing with for two years. He did not pressure me in any direction and aided me in making the best and most informed decision about treatment. Dr  is a skilled endodontist and he is extremely conscientious about his work. He took his time treating me to make sure my complicated root canal was done correctly and successfully. I especially appreciated the time and effort he put in to make sure he did the job correctly! Doc  is extremely dedicated to his patient's health, if you are in pain he will not ignore you but help you as much as he can to get you out of pain, he also schedules follow up appointments with his patients to make sure the root canal has succeeded. Highly recommended!

  • I was promptly seen within 10 minutes of arriving.
Dr. Ghai who I have used many times in the past was very professional
and gentle.  After I returned home I had a lot of post-extraction heavy
bleeding and had to return to the dentist twice to be checked and to
make sure I did not need a stitch for the wound.  The entire staff were
extremely kind, sympathetic and concerned.  They explained in detail
what I needed to do to make sure the clot formed and the bleeding stop.
I was given a prescription also for an anti bacterial mouth wash to
help the healing process.  Upon checking out at the front desk my
records were immediately accessed, my insurance information all up to
date and was quickly able to use my Care Credit card.  I have been to
Crescent Dental before for deep cleaning, routine cleanings and
fillings.  The front office staff are always efficient and friendly, the dental
hygienists thorough and very gentle and Dr. Ghai is very professional,
thorough and explains everything.  Since I have always been a dental
phobic and very fearful it is so nice to find a dentist and her staff
who make the experience actually pleasant...if that is at all possible
with any dentist!  Dr. Ghai also has very convenient hours...one of the
few in my area that are open on Saturday!  I can highly recommend this
practice to anyone in the Cary area.

  • I was sent for an evaluation of a potential need for a root canal and to check a prior root canal. Dr. Windley evaluated after x rays and indicated I would need a root canal which could include cutting into the gum and bone, as well as potentially the same for at least one of the other 2 previous RCs (not performed by him.) I declined treatment. His explanations etc were clear as well as and options presented. (ignoring treatment could lead to further bone loss brought on by potential infection etc. All dire sounding. (But so is cutting into the bone and gum flaps etc.) It's been at least 3 months now and so far no further degradation of the one questionable tooth (decay beneath crown original diag). Have been oil pulling -- maybe that is helping. I would recommend DR Windley for a straight forward diagnosis.

  • He's excellent. He's got a personality and he's decent. His prices are reasonable and his personality is great and if anyone needs any type of work done, he's the guy to see. He's not going to do periodontic work obviously but he might do root canals or whatever. Patients have to book ahead of time and if it's an emergency, they would take patients. I'm an existing client but I don't know about other people. His office is very clean, very neat. It's pleasant. I've never had to sit there and wait. The staff is extremely friendly and pleasant. Even though I go every six months, they know my name. I used to have a dental insurance but I have to pay upfront. Patients should not have to pay upfront if they have insurance. I used to see the hygienist and he comes by and he checks to make sure that the hygienist has done a proper job.

  • They were very patient. Explained the procedure as they went along. Told me how long it would take...very accurate. It went very smoothly. I would definitely go back if needed again...Hopefully not though.

  • A+ I've been going to Dr. Orander's office for several years. He has a gentle chair side manner and takes his time to explains things effectively without ever seeming rushed. I never feel like they are trying to up sell me on non-needed cosmetic procedures which I've definitely felt at other offices I've been to. Insurance has always been handled for me without an issues. My children also go to this office and the doctor is very kid friendly. I would recommend this office to anyone.

  • Nobody is ever going to say that they're looking forward to a root canal, but I was as comfortable ahead of time as I was going to be, given the circumstances, because Dr. Bills had already taken very good care of me two years ago. The reasons for my particular treatment were a bit out of the ordinary due to some complicated problems that I've had going on, and everyone in the office was very understanding of how upset I have been over the whole thing. That really goes a long way!
When I walked in, I was welcomed, asked how I was feeling, and even offered a blanket in case I got cold. When Dr. Bills actually performed the root canal, she made sure that I also had a pillow under my neck to keep me comfortable. Even better yet, this woman is the needle fairy or something. I have had problems with needles for about 11 years now, so the numbing is usually worse than any other part of any kind of dental work that I've had done. Not so today. I didn't even feel the needles. I knew they were there because I saw Dr. Bills pick them up and aim them at me, and I felt her kind of moving them around, but I never felt that awful pinch that most dental needles cause. This is particularly impressive since the area around the tooth that needed treatment was so sensitive only one day previously that I almost jumped out of the chair when I was having a cleaning at my regular dentist's office.
The rest of the root canal treatment went as smoothly as the needles; the only reason I even knew anything was being done was because I saw all of the tools and heard Cathy and Dr. Bills talking. They had a rather interesting conversation, but it never came across like I was being talked around; often, Dr. Bills would look down at me and directly involve me in the conversation, regardless of whether I was really able to say anything. I really appreciated that.
When I was ready to leave, everybody wished me well, and I was given the doctor's cell phone number in case I had any problems whatsoever. While I was taking care of my payment, I had a conversation with the front desk staff about holiday shoppers -- I was once again included in an ongoing conversation, rather than ignored. The entire atmosphere at this office is as welcoming and home-like as it can possibly be. I don't want to get into a situation where I have to go back, but if I do, I know I'll feel comfortable, welcomed, and well taken care of there.
Look, nobody is ever going to be a cheerleader for this type of treatment because usually when you need to have it done, that means you've been in a lot of pain. However, between my two visits to Dr. Bills, I have become convinced that the root canal therapy itself doesn't have to be the death sentence of excruciating pain that everyone makes it out to be. If it's done by the right person, a root canal can be a virtually pain free experience. Am I a week bit sore tonight? Yes, but I have a feeling I'll be fine by tomorrow...and since something DID happen to my mouth today, it would be a little bit weird if there was no soreness whatsoever...

  • The quality of the work provided by Dr. Rushin and her team was simply outstanding.  Upon relocating to North Carolina, I had consulted Angie's List prior to selecting Dr. Rushin as my dentist.  Several reviews commented on the positive environment in her office, with an emphasis on patient-centered care and espirit de corps among the team members.  While these factors are important to me, my first priority was to find a dentist with solid technical skills in addition to a winning bedside manner.  Dr. Rushin meets and exceeds these high standards.  She explained what the procedure will be and why it was needed, ongoing status as the work progressed, and what I needed to do during recovery.  Throughout this experience and the follow-up treatment, I felt like I had been treated by an superb dentist surrounded by a friendly and very competent staff.  She has my complete confidence going forward.

  • It was a very pleasant experience. If I ever needed an endodontist again, I would definitely go to him. He had a great sense of humor and he was quite knowledgeable. In fact, I found out that he was actually an instructor to my dentist. He was very capable and I would definitely go back to him. His office and staff were impeccable on all fronts. Dr. Johnson also explained everything. He stood there with the x-rays and I looked at everything that was going on. He explained what he looked for and what differences might have occurred according to the x-rays. He gave me information with the probabilities of the cause of pain and the different ways of treating it. I could have not asked for someone to give anymore information to let me make my own decisions. I liked him very much.
