Silicon Valley Appliance Service And Repair LLC
It went as I had anticipated. I already researched what went wrong by speaking with microwave expert technicians and identified the part as well. Johe's analysis also was same which I was happy about. Went ahead with the repair and he charged me reasonably ($120 for diagnosis and repair). I had identified the part and informed Johe about it which he confirmed would work. The service would be further better if he had identified the part and it's availability (either in his inventory or from outside).

Service Rep arrived and told me the problem was not the dryer, but the dryer vent was totally clogged. He referred me to another supplier that arrived the next day and cleaned the vents. Dryer now works fine.

Flate was great. He walked me through troubleshooting and testing which was great. The only problem was that my repair was more complicated than I wanted to take on so I decided to call in a professional to complete the repair. No fault of the technician. I would use them again for a future repair.

    Choice Home Warranty
A plumber was sent 3 days after submitting the claim. The plumber claimed that he didn't have earlier appointment. The washer was inspected and the result was, it is cheaper to buy a new one than repairing the broken one. I was given cash to buy a new one. The cash amount was not enough but it was good enough. Over all, I have been having good experience with Choice Home Warranty. I recommend them to all my friends.

It went very well. Their service is excellent and their response to customer calls is excellent. I heard back from them within in an hour of me messaging them on the website and someone was at my home just two days later.

    Sears Appliance Repair
Told me I needed a $12 sensor to make the refrigerator stop freezing everything. BUT then, the price kept changing. 1st quoted $450 for a 30 min repair. But if I signed up for a home warranty, then the repair would get at 50% discount. When my eyes blinked in disbelief, he said he might try another job code in the computer and then it was $350. Then he printed a receipt and the price was $275. But the $99 diagnostic fee (which seems pretty standard) was NOT applied to the total cost of the repair. I called Sears to ask about this. 20 minutes being shuffled between departments. Got someone who said the diagnostic fee should be applied to the total job cost, but the total job cost would be >$300. Bait and switch. Clearly dishonest pricing.

    Mr. Appliance of Cary
Our service tech, Edwin Hines, arrived on time, and was very professional. He was cleanly dressed, took the time to cover his shoes with cotton booties, was very courteous and well spoken. He got to work removing the covers of the dryer, identified the problem and took the time to show us what was happening. The repair was done as we watched and he took the time to tighten all of the screws and checked the working mechanisms.

Initially thot problem was related to 'fridge computer'. Needed to order; 2 days later found that did not solve the problem. He needed to get schematic information which was not where it should have been under fridge. Meanwhile, freezer portion worked fine. This was Friday. He said he would be out Monday. Called Monday to report unable to make appt due to personal issue. Rescheduled for Tuesday. Arriving Tuesday he had a new diagnosis: (he admitted should have been one of the first things he considered) frozen controls. This required further action on my part including emptying freezer. Finally had operating fridge by Wednesday evening. Incredible inconvenience emptying fridge/freezer & trying to keep perishables chilled using several ice chests. If I'd had any idea of time, I would have rented fridge to place in garage.

    One Source Appliance Repair
Great! The tech showed up right on time (actually a little early) and quickly diagnosed the source of the leak (leaking door seal) and also why the seal was leaking. He then corrected the cause and ordered the replacement seal. When it arrived he returned and installed it, and thorough tested it before leaving.

If Angie's List had an A+ rating, it would be given here. Ice makers are tricky and expensive things and I knew that going into deciding to get this repaired. Many people opt not to do the repair due to these reasons. However, I saw Greg's previous reviews and wanted it repaired, so contacted him. Not only did he keep at it until he had it right, he came back and uninstalled a part that did not have to be replaced and refunded me the difference. He could have easily argued that I needed that part and charged me more, but he did not take that route. I am confident in his honesty and no matter how tricky or complex your repair is, he will stick with it until it is correct. If i ever have another appliance repair necessary, he will be the one I call.
