    Pencils and Paste
Operates out of his house as his primary business is servicing grandfather clocks in people's homes. I had called several repair places, they all wanted $25-50 to look at it, but couldn't guarantee they could fix it. He said he'd fix it or no charge. He secured the two chains that were working properly, turned the clock upside down, and had chain re-attached in 3-5 minutes. Secured the chains with wires before allowing me to take clock home. Working fine! Will be making appointment to have grandfather clock serviced shortly. Very nice gentleman, semi-retired.

It's been several years since the service, but friend asked for a recommendation and I just had to take time to write a positive review, as well. We moved my mother's antique grandfather clock across the country and needed it to be set up and re-assembled. Lou was very knowledgeable and took the time to help us secure the clock to the wall to prevent damage and level it. He made some adjustments and then instructed us on how to wind and adjust the clock if it ran fast or slow. Three years later, this 200+ year old clock is keeping perfect time. I could not possibly give a higher recommendation!

Overall, Charter is very expensive. They got rid of their 1or more year contracts but still remain very high in price per month. The HD picture is reliable and excellent. The Internet is much improved as far as reliability issues. In past years it was somewhat awful. Now short of an actual electrical failure, the cable and Internet seem to per along. But still too pricey.

We just dropped it off because it was a big television.  He did a very good job.  He told us he would call us when it was going to be fixed.  He gave us a call when it was fixed and it was a reasonable amount cost wise.  It's one of the few television repair places in this area that will take care of everything within a couple of days and we don't have to have it in there for weeks and weeks.

This is the second time in four years that Tom has serviced my grandfather clock, and I am extremely pleased with his work.  He was prompt, professional and personable.  He knows his clocks and his prices are very reasonable.   I will definitely use him in the future.

    Asheville Surgery Center
I arrived at the appointed time and the receptionist was very friendly. After just a brief wait, I was directed to another office staff member who took care of all the and quot;paperworkand quot; --which was done by computer with no paper involved! Then I was taken back to a room to change and get blood work and start an IV. I was very, very nervous but the nurses were very understanding and helped me stay calm. They checked on me often. I stayed in that room until time for the surgery begin. The room had two doors--one that opened to the nurses station and the other door opened into the surgical area. When it was time for surgery, I was wheeled out the second door directly into the hallway of a hospital and then to the operating room! How very convenient! The operating room team was very professional and the room could have been an operating room in a and quot;regularand quot; hospital. When the surgery was complete, I was taken to a recovery area where I was looked after by more friendly staff. Then I was released and taken by wheelchair out to the curb where I was met to be taken home. It impressed me that the layout of the facility made the transition from one area to another very smooth. No backtracking. I did not have to go back through the waiting room to leave.
My husband went with me and stayed in the waiting room (he could have gone back with me until the surgery if we had wanted). He was told to keep his cell phone on so the nurses could contact him when I was ready to leave. There was an electronic board on the wall with each patient's number on it (to protect your privacy). The board listed where every and quot;numberand quot; was--in pre-op, in surgery, in recovery, etc. so that those room could be kept informed of where their loved one was in the process. I thought that was very considerate.
Overall I was impressed with the facility. It has nine operating rooms! It is conveniently located near the interstate.

I thought the price was a little high but it wasn't that bad. He was very nice and he came in and did the work well. The problem was we expected him to spend some time with us to educate us on some stuff because my husband had asked him on the phone if he could do some education when he came. I think that may have been a miscommunication but we were a little disappointed.

We found him on Angie's List, made an appointment for him to come and see what was needed. On the agreed-to date, we delivered the camper to him, he did the work the following day and called us to come and pick it up. Very easy.

Everything went extremely well. House was in great shape upon our return and despite the current drought situation, our plants looked good as well. We even received an email update on things while we were away that provided additional peace of mind.

On our initial phone call Dayna explained that she was one of the few people in the country that certifies other professional resume writers to become Certified and that the testing process leads to only a 20% success. She described the process, how long it should take and what I could expect. She provided an estimate and that was the final cost. She sent me a list of questions to answer and asked that I send her current resume and other documents that would be helpful for her effort. After I completed the questions she started work on her part. In the middle of the process she sent additional questions to clarify more of the information. It took several weeks for the whole thing to be completed. Once I got the first draft I was able to send her suggestions for changes or corrections of which there were very few. She pretty much got it right the first time. Several weeks later she sent me another version of the resume for use in posting electronically - this was included in the price. I also had her for an additional $75 write a cover letter.
