ACustom Construction & Renovations IncI used Custom Renovations, as well as Custom Electric for a major updating of my 1930s house in the Lindley Park area of Greensboro. The electrical work began 12/04/18, with the demolition starting 7/09/19. The job completion (with final walk-through) was 1/28/20. There were multiple aspects to the total job: attic insulation, floor refinishing, redoing of an old back porch (which involved raising my back roof line to raise my master bathroom's ceiling), adding a back deck, and painting the house's interior walls. Both bathrooms were updated, as well as my kitchen. In the process, all my old iron piping was upgraded as well. Custom Electric not only replaced all my old "knob & tube" wiring, but also placed additional wall outlets & smoke detectors to bring the house into current code compliance. The Custom employees (foreman, electrical, plumbing & carpentry), as well as the various contractors (painters, dry wall installers, tilers, insulators, & floor refinishers) employed by Custom were all very professional and did a great job. Chris S******, Custom's owner, was very accessible to answer any of my concerns & provided expert options to the many decisions (structural & electrical) that arose during the process. Christin G*********, my Custom design consultant, was invaluable in walking me through the many design decisions that confronted me: kitchen cabinet, sink, fixtures, tile & countertop selections, bathroom configurations, shower design, fixtures & sink selections, floor stains, etc. She assisted me in navigating the various suppliers of these items, and was patient and informative. During the whole project, I ended up asking Custom for 12 change orders, Some changes were necessitated by issues arising during the construction. Some changes were additions I just requested as the project moved along. From the beginning through to the end, both Chris & Christin were transparent about the project's costs. In summary, Custom did a very professional job and I would recommend them. I'm very pleased with my house's upgrades.- John P.

ADry Sky RoofingAfter meeting with a number of roofing companies I chose dry sky roofing. They were not only competitive but the most responsible group of contractors I have ever worked with. They were always patient and very professional quick response with every question that I ask. Great follow through and on the day the job began they were very prompt and had a project manager on site until the job is completed. I would highly recommend this company to anyone. ANeal-Williams Mold Remediator/General ContractorNeal-Williams Mold Remediation and General Contractors did an exceptional job in completing all of the tasks associated with my project. Professional, courteous, efficient and on time with reasonable pricing, Neal-Williams remodeled my bathroom, including completing the plumbing, repaired a hole in my roof, took down and reinstalled drywall that was contaminated with mold, built a platform to improve my accessibility to my couch and installed a vapor barrier system in my crawlspace. They stand by the quality of their work and it is obvious from the excellence of their work products that they take pride in all that they do. Usually I have found that working with construction crews can be frustrating, especially when they start a project and then disappear for days. I did NOT have this problem with Neal-Williams. The owner was in contact with me regularly and gave me accurate information regarding when the project would be completed. I will definitely hire Neal-Williams in the future if faced with a construction project that I want done right the first time. It was very easy to give this company 5 stars.- Casandra I.

He did a great job of coordinating the various teams that were doing the different parts of the overall project. FI payed 2,000.00 up front he said it would be 2 to 3 weeks this was in nov. 2 2020 , no call or show , i call them 6 weeks later i ask for a update ,they said they were still waiting on the siding , waited 2 more weeks still nothing so I call back again and ask for a update but time i told them i was going to the BBB and all of a sudden they calling me and telling me they are still waiting on the siding at this point I told them I wanted my money back ,so now they said it will be here next week guess what its next week and still no siding , so i want my money back of we can go to court because i don't trust them to do a good job or they will over charge me now so angie's list what are you going to do about this , it is unacceptable to take your money and then they forget about you , its going on 3 months now i can do it myself faster than they can do it or i can wait until Jesus comes back either way it would be faster than they can do it , so my advice is not to hire them they talk a good game but they cannot deliver

AIt was a great experience from start to finish. The estimate was provided quickly, the work was high quality, the cost exactly matched the estimate and the cleanup afterward was very meticulous. I was arranging this work for my parents' home in North Carolina. I was concerned because I was unable to be there as the work was completed. I needn't have worried. My father - a former contractor himself and pretty darn hard to please - was highly impressed. This really showed the value of Angie's List in pointing out strong, reputable and reliable contractors. CWe had an excellent experience getting a new roof with JTC about six years ago, and to be fair I meant to jump on and write a very positive review then. However, we've since had some serious water damage along one section of eaves / soffit, to the point where we've now had water run down through our wall/flooring and into our HVAC ducts. I've emailed twice and called but haven't gotten any response at all. At this point, I'll try someone else, but I did have a very positive initial impression and would have thought that JTC would have at least come out to take a look at the problem for me.
