Very well. All of the prpblems that arose from existing building or constriction issues were resolvied and or corrected. They are excellent at updating progress reports and don't hesitate to call if an opinion is needed.

It went terribly. The tiled showers looked so bad and would have required $4000.00 custom doors so that we ripped them out--that is when we found he had nailed the rubber membranes down to the shower floor and had not connected the drain to the house plumbing, that way the water could drain into the crawl space under the house.  They also tiled over an electrical junction box. The grout job left huge gaps and was not completely washed off so it was staining the tile, which was one reason we decided to check underneath the work. Thankfully we did or we would not have known about the membranes or the drains.
The benches they had built in tilted backwards so water would collect on them and seep thru the terrible gout.
The  shut off valves to the vanities were already 30 years old and were not touched during the installation of new vanities-which meant they became inaccessible and practically nonfunctional.Amazing they would not replace the plumbing!
The light fixtures were installed crookedly and asymmetrically into the original openings of the old--so they were not centered over the the sinks at all.
The kitchen tile was placed directly on top of the old linoleum so it was 1/2 inch above the wood floor-no attempt was made to
wash off the grout so it remains with a cloudy film. And so now the stove is 1/2 inch above the granite countertop.
Did I mention the electrical wire dangling in a pantry leading up to the new kitchen exhaust fan?
Or the total mess he left in the house with sawdust and trash everywhere?
And the bill I paid when he promised all the work would be done by the time his check arrived- Not!!
The deck was repaired using too small hangers and zinc roofing nails instead of galvanized bolts--this at an additional$8000 to do it "right". The pickets were asymmetrical and not regularly spaced even completely nailed.
I really feel foolish in trusting him -never thinking he was not getting permits or performing the work according to code. Or that he was doing the construction in such a dangerous way.. We could have had mold and or electrical fires as a result of their negligence. I am really appalled at the audacity of the really rotten construction-obviously they did not care about quality or have a concern about safety, or think that anyone would ever question the methods they used. Total disappointment! Please avoid him like the plague! How a seemingly nice guy could take your money and give horrible workmanship in return is beyond me, but live and learn--hopefully if we share enough about our experiences he will decide to look up his code book and start to do things correctly.
Just don't pay him while he is learning!

Josh did a great job against all the surprises he found as he started demolishing the damaged flooring, shower etc. He even found that the plumbing underneath the home was reverse graded (we always had problems with that).

He went out of his way to keep us informed because we could not be present at all times.

Completely trustworthy to leave without having to be concerned if he will do it right.

Falcone Crawl Space & Structural Repair
We had begun noticing cracking in the tile floor of our sun room with cracks running perpendicular to each other, and some of the trim work was pulling away.  Additionally, rather than running off the deck away from the house, rain water that hit the deck had begun running toward the house and under it.  Falcone came out at our request to investigate and to give us an estimate on needed repairs.  We live approximately 1 1/2 to 2 hours from Charlotte up in the mountains.  Falcone gave us a date and time for the visit and emailed a confirmation with a short video about the person they were sending out to give us the estimate.  He came right on time, was exactly what we expected and was very engaging.  He gave us a thorough explanation of what the original builder had failed to do during the construction process and of what was needed to repair the problem.  He employed terminology to which we could relate and gave us an exact estimate for the work.  We were quickly sent via e-mail a copy of the contract with the exact estimate we were given.  Once we decided to proceed with the repairs, they were prompt in scheduling the work and, again, arrived to begin work exactly when they said they would.  The work took 7 business days and the crew was very faithful and prompt each day.  The team leader of the project let us know each day what had been done that day and when the crew would return the next day, as well as what was going to happen next.  He also gave us a cell phone # at which he could be reached after hours in case we had any questions.  All of the guys on the crew and the team leader were highly professional and very courteous.  Any questions or concerns that we had along the way were answered immediately and patiently and to our satisfaction, although we had very few questions or concerns because they had already given us thorough explanations of everything before beginning the work.  Given that this is early December and that we live in the mountains, the weather was somewhat chilly and damp at times and the work was sometimes muddy.  We heard no complaints and their attitudes were great!  In fact, they seemed to really enjoy their work.  When the work was completed, the crew cleaned up the area thoroughly, leaving no mess behind, and then showed us pictures of the actual work done under the house.  Having to have such extensive and expensive work done, because another individual had not done what he was supposed to do several years ago, was a hard pill to swallow; however, Falcone gave us discounts because of the amount of work being done.  Additionally, while it was originally thought that we were going to need 14 piers put in, we ended up needing 15.  Falcone honored the original contract mentioning nothing about an extra charge for the extra pier.  It was also discovered that a drain pipe needed to be extended several extra feet beyond where it was originally thought needed, and, again, Falcone charged nothing extra.  Dealing with Falcone has been a vey positive experience and we will not hesitate to call on them again in the future!!!

    VPC Builders LLC
VPC Builders were great to work with.  Matt Vincent is meticulous and responsive in overseeing the work, and he has great foremen who treat the project like their own.  They are attentive to detail and maintain a neat and orderly construction site.  I have used this company before, and they always complete the project as promised and they have always come in on budget.  This includes performing remodel jobs of older structures, one of which required the assistance of a structural engineer.  I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a contractor.

They also installed a bathroom vanity for me. The work is flawless and has the "old house" character that I wanted to maintain. The stain is gorgeous. The structure is level and sound. The transition between old and new wood is not visible. And the baseboard looks great. What a bargain. I could not be happier.

Kand C is very professional and detailed in their work. They won't cut corners. They are honest and extremely capable. Kand C raised our floors, replaced termite damaged floor beams and joists and then laid laminate flooring. As the project continued they also leveled our gutters, replaced our front door and coordinated rewiring and plumbing needs. We would absolutely use them again.

    Mr. Sandless
I LOVE how my hardwoods look now! It was an 8 hour process from start to finish. I left at 8 a.m. and came home to beautiful floors at 4 p.m. I could immediately walk on the floors and there was absolutely no mess to clean up. After I paid my bill, Mr. Byrd came back to tell me that his assistant had accidentally overcharged me. He then gave me the difference in cash!
