Boarding reviews in Belmont

    Kennelina Pet Resort
We'd tried some other boarding facilities, and always seemed to have "meh" or negative experiences.  When one of my dogs had to be DRAGGED into the back area by yet another unfamiliar employee on a return visit to a certain facility, I was really starting to despair about finding a decent place.  Luckily I found Kennelina, and they happened to be nearby, which is great.  Even better, Ken and Paty live onsite, and it's always one of them who checks in the dogs and checks them back out - and they are the ones who are caring for the animals.  Same people, every time.  They will send photos of the dogs, and we can tell from the body language that they're having a great time.  I really, really love that my dogs love Ken and Paty!  Instead of having to be dragged in, they run to the door and jump all over Ken/Paty with happiness, and then they're eager to be taken into the kennel area to see who else is in there.  In the time we have been using Kennelina, two of our dogs have become elderly, but they never come home with kennel cough or severe stiffness/soreness, so I know that they're being treated really well.
We've been using Kennelina for a long time and will continue to do so.  They're really great people and our dogs could not be in better hands when we're out of town!

    Camp Bow Wow Charlotte Metro
My 15-month old dog never had any issues with people of any
age EVER until spending a few days at Camp Bow Wow Charlotte Metro. Since then,
our dog that has always gone everywhere she can with us, has snipped and
snarled several times at various people, is very skittish and extremely fearful
and particularly afraid of people in bright red and orange shirts.
In an attempt to re-socialize and re-train her to her former
self, I reached out 12 days ago to Camp Bow Wow Charlotte Metro to see if
something/what happened. Since then, I have called the local Camp Bow Wow 3
times, spoken to an employee, the assistant manager and the manager, who all promised
to review the videos from the days she was there and call me back. I?ve also
called the corporate Camp Bow Wow who also promised to get to the bottom of it
and call me back. I have still yet to receive a call. However, in that time
frame, I have received a generic survey via email- which I also responded to
asking for a call and also a direct mail piece.
I?m very concerned with the level of attention Camp Bow Wow
is showing the pets entrusted to their care. Based on the vast amount of activity
on social media and other marketing efforts, it really seems like their focus
is completely misplaced. I can say, without a doubt, that any pet parents I
come in contact with will not consider Camp Bow Wow.

    Winkinson Animal Hospital
All the doctors are super. From the time you walk in the door until you feel like your pet is the only one they care about. They send out reminders and they call you. You can call them with any problem and the doctor will call you right back. They take very good care of my pets. When we first moved here, we had a golden retriever that was going through separation anxiety. So they cared for him for two days and everyday the doctor would go in an hour early to talk with him, pet him and love him. The cost for procedures are very reasonable. The doctors are so nice and very reassuring. Their facility were the cleanest and it didn't stink. The staff was so nice and they showed me all through the facility.

Just a note to say how much we appreciate the great care Katie and Duncan received during their stay at Tuscarora's. Both came home happy, well rested and smelling like themselves. (After most kennel stays, the dog comes home smelling like, well, a kennel, but not from Tuscarora!). And having the bedding laundered was a lovely and unexpected bonus. They definitely will be back to visit again.

It's $26 for the first dog overnight and $13 for the second. It's cheaper for day care only. The staff seems to enjoy working with the dogs, and it's so much better than small crates at the vet. All the dogs, large and small seem to get along together fine. They are usually quite full, so reserve ahead.

Duncan (14) did great there. Was not stressed or kennel smelling when we got him back! All staff members were pleasant and good to the dog and us
