AEager Beaver Handyman ServiceFrom the start this company was incredibly responsive. We quoted several, and while the pricing was competitive, this company was the most responsive and easy to deal with. They were straightforward with pricing and options. The employee who performed the work was professional, very understanding of our dog and very quiet completing the work around our newborn and autistic son. The work was done professionally and he cleaned everything prior to leaving. I would highly recommend their services. If we need work done in the future, they will certainly be our first call.- Chris G.

APainting & MooreI have used this company two times for both exterior and interior painting jobs. They are excellent overall. Their crews are hard working and focused on doing a quality job. They do a good job of protecting furniture, flooring etc. from spills...very neat. I have worked with Ben who quoted both jobs for me. They were fairly priced and Ben made sure the job was completed as quoted and that I was satisfied when they were finished. I will continue to use them for future painting projects.- Dana D.

FIn early October, I reached out to have the trim stripped/sanded in 3 bedrooms 10'x11', 11'x11', 10'x10' and a hallway 17' painted. Originally, I just need the trim done in the 10'x11' room, but I added on the 2nd coat of paint for that room. I had also requested a bad mesh patch to be redone with a dry wall patch. I did not have the 10'x10' room done. I bought Sherman Williams Paint and Primer from Lowe's. The spackle, brushes, caulk, sand paper, etc was all to be provided by the painter. I contracted tht job to start October 15th, with 2-3 days, but then 3-4 days after I added the extra room for $853. I had my floors scheduled to be refinished the following Monday. I reached out to Nicole on the first day, concerned about the quality of work. The painter who was sent admitted that he had done floors for the last 20 years and that this was his 2nd paint job while we were chatting. I asked him about the work on the trim and he told me he was not contracted to strip/sand the trim. I texted Nicole and spoke about the misunderstanding, but let it go. He spent a good bit of the day spackling the bad patch, when I asked about the new drywall patch, he said he could not do that and I'd need to speak to Nicole. He had only brought the small tub of spackle and I ended up giving him the rest I had. He was spackling as he went along instead of spackling all of the areas and then painting. I did not question how he chose to work, I volunteered to spackle to take some of the work off of him and he told me if I did any spackling then he would consider it done and wouldn't do it himself. When he left for the day, it looked very poor. Trim paint on the wall and paint not adhering to the wall. He wasn't able to cut in where the ceiling met the wall. He said he was not able to, so there is an uneven band around the top of the room. I spoke again with her that Friday. He was still in the 1st room. I gave him new roller brush heads, when he asked if I had any he could use, a new big tub of spackle and sanding sponges I went and bought. He told me he was not being paid enough for this job and said he had gotten into it with Nicole about the time the job was taking. I also texted her that despite the painter telling me I could show him spots I was unhappy with, he always became defensive and said said it was a trick of light or that when I put my furniture in the room it would all disappear and finally that he just wasn't capable of doing a good enough job for me. Nicole told me her and her husband would be there that Saturday. They did not come, but texted and asked if he was there. I spoke about the issues again and she told me the paint adhering to the wall issue is why she recommends primer. I had bought the 2-in-1, but I agreed to get primer, anything to help move things along. I spent Saturday night after work spackling, but not sanding, the walls in the hall. On Monday, I had to work and told her when I would be available, she arrived after I started work, from home. She did bring the primer, but went straight to talk to the painter. We spoke again about the bad patch and she told me she would do the drywall patch and promised I'd be happy with the quality of work for the job. My floors were sanded in 2 of the rooms to be painted about 2 hrs and it was decided that because the the first coat was going down on Tuesday, that the painter would skip Tuesday. He came on Wednesday, but I no longer pointed out spots I wasn't happy with. Nicole visited once more again she went to the painter first and I heard him say that he could take the primer she brought him to another job. He never used it here. It was later taken off my invoice. When she spoke with me she said that she didn't think I need to pay for a dry wall patch I just agreed at that point I didn't feel that anyone had the skill to do it and told her the painter didn't use the primer herr and then she left to speak with him and was gone. He finished on October 19th. He didn't sand the spackle spots, though I told him I had not sanded. By the time he did the hallway he just wanted to be done. It looks the worst. In the hall, he didn't even prep the trim in the hall and there are areas where he forgot to paint at all. In all areas where he did the trim there is trim paint on the wall and wall paint on the trim. There is uneven band around the top of the wall where he couldn't cut in. There are flaws in wall paint some minor and I would have worked on my own and considered the job completed, but some that eyesores, in addition to places where the paint didn't adhere. He got paint on my newly refinished floors. I asked Nicole to do the final walk-through with me on Wednesday, the 28th, as the floor refinishers had put the final coat down the Monday before and requested 24 hrs. to not walk on the floor. I wanted time to be able to view everything. She initially said okay and then texted me asking if we could move it up because she needed to get her close rate up. I agreed, but advised I would be doing the walkthrough for the first time with her. She arrived late on Tuesday, after I told her the time I would be free from lunch, we only had 10 minutes. I told her that all the trim was a problem and showed her some of the worse spots when she told me she send a different painter to fix those areas and just to show him. She signed the final invoice that touch ups were still to be done. She also told me she was going to let the first painter go. Later she sent me a text asking if I was going to finish paying now or after the touch ups were complete because she need the job closed. I paid in good faith. On the 30th the other painter came. I took him to one room and showed him two spots, the trim along one wall and a spot where the paint had not adhere and he said he was told it'd only be 10 mins and this was a lot more. He then left and called Nicole. I never saw him again. She texted me and told me that she couldn't pay another painter to finish this much work and that the original painter would need to come back because she paid him too much. I told her I rather he'd not come back as he was not able to do the job in the first place and I told her early on I was not sure that he was up to the job. She said that she send the 2nd painter again. I sent texts and called once over the 3rd and 4th of November, after waiting several hours on the 4th, I asked for a $400 refund and told her I couldn't wait any longer on this job. She wrote back quickly that $400 was too much for 2-4 hrs of work that the 2nd painter had claimed and I advised I didn't get to show him more than two spots before he left and he could not know the scope of the touch ups. She said she'd give me a $100 refund but no more and would send the paint to do 3-4 spots. I told her again it was more than that and she stopped responding. I heard from Nicole again on November 9th, I had by that point filed a complaint with the NC Consumer Protection Division and requested the $400 refund. We talked about my complaint. She told me she'd send the 2nd painter to do all of the spots and refund $100. I told her if the job is completed then I didn't want the refund. She asked for pictures of the spots. I sent them. I have not heard from her again. I received a letter from the Consumer Protection Division with a copy of the screenshot of out last texts asking if my complaint is resolved around the 13th. I texted her on the 15th and asked when the painter was coming. No answer. On the 20th, I answered the letter that the complaint is not resolved and I'm still requesting a $400 refund. I refrained from writing a review because I had hoped that the this could be resolved and I really wanted to help a family business. The pictures included with the review aren't all of the trim and some things are hard to photograph, but I hope they show the level of quality that apparently the company is happy to have their name associated with and that the first painter had said I was being too picky about.

AAmazing work, We have a large home, and they did a bang-up job quickly and professionally with fantastic cleanup. Their foreman was always available, polite, and professional. They repaired rotten wood and replaced hardy-board where it had been damaged. If you read my earlier review, I blasted them with an F. I had resolved to only reconsider if they ditched my account manager and sent somebody new (which wasn't an option). Ben felt so strongly about Painting & Moore that he convinced me to hear him out and give him another chance. He not only overcame my antagonism but he won me over to award him our business. Needless to say, I'm not only an avid supporter of this company, but I'd use them again in a hearbeat.

ABilly came out to review the job and promptly submitted an estimate. Once we accepted the proposal, the office called to schedule the work. We had a short delay due to rain for several days prior to the start but that was communicated and promptly rescheduled. The crew was on time, neat and polite. A supervisor checked in periodically to review the progress and no money was due until the job was complete and we were satisfied. Unheard of. Have referred and will hire again.

It was a lot of work and they didn’t skimp on any details and finished on time or even a little early. Crew was punctual every day and Franklin was very responsive and easy to work with.
