Cool Tech Heating & Air Conditioning
The service was awesome, Randy the technician came on a Saturday but did not charge me for extra. He told me what was wrong with my air conditioner, and got part and serviced the following Tuesday. very honest, fair priced service. I highly recommend the company to anyone

We would highly recommend Tommy Bynum's services. Our furnace quit working during a serious cold snap when temperatures were below 20 degrees. The repair was quite complicated and took more than one visit, but the company sent a team out to our house after 8pm on a Friday night to get the repair completed. We really feel like Tommy Bynum makes customer service its top priority.

They're the best.  You can put A's through the list because I don't deal with nobody else.  I've used them for probably 25 years or so.  They've been in business for a good little while.  Usually when they come by, I keep them from doing their work because we chit-chat.  It's like I know every one of them.  They're good.

    McClintock Heating & Cooling
Hired McClintock for semi-annual maint on HVAC system. Any time that we had an issue, we didn't have to wait long to get someone to come out. We then ended up having to replace our system (we knew it was coming since they kept warning us over the last few visits). They were very patient with us as we looked over our options of systems and financing. We continue to have them service our new system. They really are a great company and I would recommend them to others.

    Carolina Refrigeration
We called Carolina Refrigeration and they responded quickly to diagnose and make the proper repairs. We have been using this company since 2012 and they have always treated us fairly and professionally. We have two geothermal HVAC systems and not many people in our area can properly service these. Trevor knows and understands these systems and is willing to take the time to properly troubleshoot and make the correct adjustments/repairs that are necessary to get us going. This time we had a freon leak that Trevor located. He also added a stop leak product and the necessary freon which saved us from buying a whole new system. I highly recommend Trevor and will definitely call on them again when the need arises. HVAC problems are no fun but Carolina Refrigeratiion does a great job quickly to get your heat or ac running again.

Don always kept us up-to-date on progress, immediately corrected any issues and/or addressed any of our concerns. Adriana was fantastic in helping with interior/exterior selections and color matching. I would highly recommend Spain Construction.

    McClintock Heating & Cooling
Excellent service. Estimate was competitive and representative was quite knowledgeable. Installation planning went quite well. The installation crew went above and beyond my expectations. We couldn't be happier.

Adams Heating & Air Conditioning Inc
The installation went fine.  However, during the 10 year warranty period guaranteed in the purchase contract the compressor went bad and had to be replaced at a cost of $1,900.  It turns out that the 10 year warranty by the manufacturer was  legally binding only if Adams Heating and Air Conditioning had purchased such a warranty from the manufacturer.
Adams failed to purchase the warranty and left the customer to seek other remedies.  I believe the company walked away from the guarantee noted in the purchase agreement.  They were also very slow to respond to phone calls and never responded in writing to the complaint.  At a minimum, I would advise anyone doing business with this company to obtain a copy of the manufacturer's warranty for any unit purchased from Adams.
Based on my experience, I would not use the company again nor recommend them.

    MTB Mechanical Inc
Some reviews are just hard to write.
The MTB staff is pleasant, professional, and punctual. Every associate we spoke with expressed pride in their company. Most have been with MTB for many years.
The price for the new equipment was reasonable, and in line with what we expected to pay.
We want to emphasize that MTB did their utmost to solve all the problems that arose during the replacement of our system.
However, several problems did arise during installation and it took 2 months to resolve the issues (at least we think they are resolved).
This will simply recount the chain of events and we  repeat, MTB made all the correct responses.  The only question is why this routine procedure required so many response calls. Were we just unlucky or do Lennox systems often have this type of problems?
Problem 1: The emergency heat coils in the inside part of the unit (air exchange) were defective on arrival and the installer realized this and arranged to order replacements.  This of course required a follow up visit, which was just as well, as the anti-bacterial black light (problem #2)  didn't work either and had to be fixed.
Problem 3 was a communication issue.  We thought we understood that the new unit would periodically circulate the air in our home without activation of the heating/cooling unit (variable speed fan).  We learned during install that this wasn't  the case with the unit we chose, but was part of the less expensive unit we decided against.  Purely a communication issue but, having a two story home we felt the re-circulation feature was important, and MTB came up with a solution.  They installed a better thermostat at no extra charge which took over this function and should have solved the problem. Should have, but that's not what happened.
Problem 4 showed up a week later when the unit would not cool our home during 90+ degree days.  We could get down to 80, but that was as cool as it could manage, and the unit never stopped for at least 5 days.  We called MTB and they sent a service man on Sunday morning to try and fix this.   The service tech was very knowledgeable and helpful and said we had a flawed mixing valve.  He had to order a replacement.  So, we endured two more days of high temps and I had to take another 1/2 day off work when the valve came.  It was installed and didn't fix the problem.  At all.   From the tech who installed the new valve we earned that the air from our vents should be 20 degs. cooler than the thermostat setting and we weren't even clost to that.  He correctly diagnosed that the HEAT STRIP WERE RUNNING WITH THE A/C ON!.  We were heating our cooled air!  He could not figure out why this was happening, so he disconnected the strips until an electrical person could check it.  Which was 3 days and another 1/2 day off work later, The next tech, who was the same person who visited on the previous Sunday,  found a wiring problem and fixed it.   MTB agreed to reimburse us for our excess power usage and all seemed well until the next Sunday when we tried to turn on just the fan and found that it did not work unless the  outside unit was on.  Nor was the re-circulation feature  working.  (problem 5)
One more service call later, fortunately on a Saturday (MTB does have good weekend hours), another wiring error was found and corrected.
Now, two weeks after that last call I am finally submitting this review.
We can't fault MTB for the problems, and don't really feel the Lennox system is bad.  But this was, quite frankly, a tiring experience and even though MTB went above and beyond to satisfy us, we still worry if there is a lemon in our back yard.  We hope MTB can use this information to improve the checklists for installation and perhaps avoid a similar occurrence in the future.
    Respectfully Submitted

    GSM Services

GSM has been in business for a very long time.  I know why.  GSM was professional from the original contact, to the quote, to the install, the testing, and the follow up.  The advisor answered my questions, and was available later for follow up questions.  They gave me a range of quotes which I really appreciated and helped me make a fair comparison to other quotes I received.  This company guarantees your satisfaction and comfort, and they give that to you in writing.  They were willing to work with me on scheduling the installation, and kindly provided a portable unit to keep me cool overnight.  The weather was in the high 90s and this was a two day job.  The technicians who actually did the work were courteous and respectful of my home.  I felt completely comfortable with them coming in and out as needed.

Once the installation was done, they gave me good clear instructions on using the system; I feel comfortable with the programmable thermostat.  They cleaned up after themselves well too.  They have provided detailed information on how I can reach them with any questions or concerns.  These guys understand customer service.  I anticipate a long business relationship with them.
