    Condrey Plumbing Heating & Ac
I asked for a quote on installing new oil furnace and whole house A/C. Mr. Condrey came, saw, and estimated.  Without measuring the space to be heated and cooled.  It never crossed my mind to learn about heat and a/c as I thought a professional operating under the Lennox umbrella would be straight with me.  I got  a quote, but waited a year to have the work done. As I recall, I  told him i wanted something efficient, affordable to operate, and quiet. The technical details i mistakenly left to him.
I had not done internet research, which i now recommend before all major purchases, and had no idea he would install an A/C unit too small for my house. . I also had no idea that he would renage and not install the air return in one specific room he verbally agreed to. Nor that his people would, when I asked him about the missing ductwork, be told to install a return air opening directly on the side of the main ducting just above at the furnace, instead. This requires another , different sized, dust filter.
A team of men showed up and did the work quickly. Not one of them mentioned that the A/C unit was too small for the house and didn't say much when i asked about the small dent on the unit.  I'm figured it would get some wear while sitting outside 365 days a year so I didn't make a fuss. When the building inspector showed up, he said nothing about the unit being too small, either. Apparently he passed the job as adequate, although gave me no paperwork stating this.  He has been unavailable the times i have called for an explanation of why he approved this work.
Later, when I mentioned to friends that the A/C unit was running a lot, one of them looked at the unit and told me it was too small.  I was still dealing with family issues and a death and so let it slide until the next year, when I called another company, someone came and agreed that the unit was entirely too small for the house. By at least a couple of tons.
And the furnace requires an unusual size filter, which i have to drive about 40 miles to purchase. At the place i bought the first filters I asked about black dust around one vent in the house. I was told that that could mean a serious problem with the new furnace. I had earlier called mr. condrey to ask about the dust and he said he had no idea why it was there and showed no inclination to come a look at the furnace.
As it turned out, the old furnace had at one time been connected to a room in the basement that contained the furnace chimney cleanout hole. This hole is covered by a metal plate but apparently it's not blocking all air and the intake line sucked black soot from the chimney into the furnace. The connection to the vent in this room   had been disconnected at least 15 years before, prior to our  purchase of the house. I have shut down the vent but don't feel qualified to remove the connection.
I have been lucky not to have really hot weather since the work was done. And have been trying to figure out how to resolve this situation. I found after an internet search that help from the Lennox company would be unlikely as they are reported to be ignoring complaints of defective services by their franchisees.  I did research online and found the information I would have needed to keep myself from being hornswoggled.
Past experience  with  someone i mistakenly trusted to do the honest thing, tells me county courts will not get back my money or impel the dealer to do right by me.  But  I've sat on this long enough and now i warn others to beware.  At least the furnace heats the main house decently, but not the room I really wanted warm in winter and cool in summer. It's still not useable as living space.

    Burleson Plumbing & Heating Co.
They do a lot of stuff. They stuck with their estimates. They came in and did a good work. The workers worked under 32 degrees outside while they were working outside and they had to do a lot of work. They did what they said they were going to do. They did it for price for what they said they were going to do. They did it in the time that they said they were going to do it in. The workers were fine. They cleaned everything up and there was no problem. They sent the inspector out and inspected it. He was happy with it. The unit is working pretty much as they advertised as they said they would. They were a little lower than the other estimates.
