    We moved from Nevada to North Carolina in January. We initially thought we wanted to live in the mountains so we rented a home in Western North Carolina. I quickly learned that mountain living is not for me but the city I wanted to live in was a four hour drive from our rental. Susan Hertz arranged for us to make maximum use of our time when we made the drive in, clearing her calendar for hours to accommodate us. We found a house we love and Susan made the entire process as painless as possible. I highly recommend Susan as a consummate professional.

    Margaret was amazing as our real estate agent! We contacted her in fall of 2016- about a year before re-locating to Asheville- and she was very knowledgeable and helpful as we began our search from afar. She guided us towards areas of Asheville that worked for our budget + growing family. She set us up an MLS search and we were able to watch the Asheville real estate market from a distance and get a sense of what we were looking for. We came to visit over the winter holidays of 2016 and she came in to meet us the day after Christmas- we really appreciated it on our tight schedule. In fall of 2017 we moved to Asheville and Margaret showed us many homes and helped us find our perfect house! The purchasing process had some turbulence and Margaret helped us through it all- we really valued her expertise. We would highly recommend Margaret for your real estate needs and we consider her a friend.

    Paula provided us with the Realtor experience we were looking for. She asked all the right questions to get herself in tune with what we were looking for, though we were not sure what we were looking for completely. Coming from Tampa, we had limited time to search for homes. She helped us narrow down the search field with her significant knowledge of all the areas we were looking, which was quite broad. She was very helpful with anything we needed locally as we were out of state. I cannot say enough about Paula. We would recommend her to anyone and everyone!!

    A Healthier Home
    We were first time home buyers and let me start by saying Rick with A Healthier Home was one of the best investments we made during the entire home buying process! We were under contract on a house that had mold, insects, and general nastiness in the crawl space (animal feces, yuck) so we were extra cautious about this home. We had two home inspections done already -- one was an inspection the seller gave us from the previous person under contract, and one was one we had done. As inspections go, they only point out potential problems and say "have a professional evaluate this". In addition we weren't confident in either inspector. The seller got quotes for mold remediation in the crawl space for $4000-5000 but said they could just have their handyman remediate the mold issue for $800. We were NOT okay with this so that's when we hired Rick with A Healthier Home for his opinion. Best decision ever. He came out to the house and did an inspection and went above and beyond. He pointed out things the inspector failed to even notice. Such as obvious mold in a closet that Rick found easily. This confirmed that the inspector we hired was incompetent, and possibly even in cahoots with our realtor to move the sale along. As far as the crawl space, Rick was in there for at least an hour investigating and taking photos. He confirmed that to remediate the mold/crawl space problem it would be at least a $3000-5000 job. Rick spent time answering our questions and was clear and concise. He didn't make us feel silly for asking a lot of "first time home buyer" questions. Rick looked over the entire house and said there weren't any major red flags indicating we should walk away from this house. He pointed out things that needed to be addressed like cleaning air ducts, mold under kitchen sink, etc. We completely trusted him. We did end up buying the house and Rick was correct about how much the crawl space remediation would be. We got 3 quotes and they all were in the ballpark of $3000-5000. So Rick saved us from making the costly mistake of letting the seller's handyman fix the crawl space for $800. I'd also like to mention that the mold in the closet turned out to be a bigger issue with a leaky roof above it. Days before the end of due diligence we mentioned looking into the roof further to our realtor but he brushed it off and said it's probably just the gutters that need to be adjusted, and that the sellers probably won't come down anymore off the price. After we closed on the home a roofer came out and it turned out we were correct and there was a leaky roof -- the roof repair cost us another $1600. The point of this info is that Rick saved us money and our realtor and inspector did not. It felt like we had to look out for ourselves throughout the process, but Rick from A Healthier Home was actually on our side and genuinely wanted to help us. Go with your gut and never think you are being overly cautious or paranoid when looking into issues. Most of all: do no hesitate to hire A Healthier Home, whether it's your first home, or if you already own the home and want to make it healthier to live in. If we purchase another home he will be the first person we call to inspect any house we go under contract with. We learned so much from him! Thank you, Rick!

    It went great! The sellers of the house had just purchased the house one year before and provided us with a home inspection they had done. Adam was clearly more thorough than the last inspector and was able to spot more problem areas which included possible structural issue and a definite drainage issue. We will definitely use Adam in the future and recommend him to others.

    We cannot say enough good about our experience with Bonnie!

    She truly WORKS for her clients! My wife and I recently moved to the area and did not know where to find a good realtor. We were so glad to be introduced to Bonnie. While most realtors simply provide the MLS for you to search, Bonnie took the time to ask questions and understand our preferences so she could deliver home options to us. She balanced a non-pushy approach with offering expert advice and direction when needed. After only 2 or 3 times out, Bonnie had delivered the perfect house that had everything we wanted. It was clear she was listening and making mental notes of the comments we made while we were walking through each home.
    In addition to finding a home for us, she provided invaluable resources and direction needed to navigate through the due diligence process and eventually closing. She has a wealth of contacts in the business that took care of any need that arose. Something that really stood out was her thoughtfulness that made the process so much easier. For example, when we asked her about the trash and utility companies that needed to be switched into our name, she not only quickly texted the answer, she also provided the phone numbers for us. She was always providing a little something extra that proved to us how much she truly cares about her clients ? a quality that isn?t always easy to find. 
    When challenges arose just before the closing, she tirelessly worked with the mortgage processor, inspectors, and other agents to quickly resolve any outstanding issues. I'm sure we would not have closed on time had it not been for Bonnie's proactive, get it done, style. We never had to ?push? Bonnie; she was always 5 steps ahead of us. She did the ?worrying? so we didn?t have to.
    My wife and I don?t typically write these kinds of reviews, but we had to take the time to write this one. We are so very, very grateful we met Bonnie during such an important time in our lives. She felt more like a friend than a realtor. We would recommend her to anyone we know!

    Affordable Inspections Inc
    I expected a complicated inspection report full of abbreviations and construction jargon that I didn't fully understand. However, I got a well laid out document complete with annotated pictures detailing exactly what was a concern. Many of the details were nitpicky but, that allowed me to evaluate what I could do on my own, what I wanted the sellers to fix, and what I could ignore. With this report I know I will not get any surprises when we move in. I am very satisfied.
