    Floor Coverings International of Raleigh
We had a great experience with Tammy Bliss of Floor Coverings International. This was our second time purchasing services from her and company. She had a sample of the carpet we were interested in at a Home Show sent to our house so we could visualize how it would look. With the additional leftover carpet she offered to make us different area rugs, which we would have never thought of on our own. The install went without a hitch with very respectful and conscientious installers. We will definitely call her again with future flooring needs.

    Omni Construction Company
Mike and his team built an addition onto the back of our house. He turned our screened-in porch into a guest room/office. I received quotes from seven different contractors. Mike was the most knowledgeable and most competitively priced. I felt confident in his description of the project, and my confidence in him only grew as the project went on. He and his team worked hard every day and were always professional. With four young children usually playing in the nearby kitchen, I was bracing myself for a long and stressful winter while the construction took place. This was not the case at all. We were astonished by how quickly they worked! His whole team was kind and pleasant. They always operated quickly, efficiently, and with the highest quality of workmanship. I absolutely love our beautiful new room. My in-laws are sleeping in there right now and they love it as well. It looks like it was part of the original house, and I feel like it gives our first floor a more polished and expensive look. I would not hesitate to hire Mike for future projects, and I will definitely be recommending him to other friends.

    ProGreen Carpet
This is the third time I've used ProGreen Carpet. Each time the results have been excellent. The carpets looked like new after they were cleaned. They were also able to fix the bubbling carpet and squeaks. The technicians clearly explains everything they're going to do and have options for different stains and problems. I've been really happy with ProGreen and plan to use them again in the future.

CAROLINA IN HOME FLOORING & DESIGN CENTER
We did not use Carolina In-Home Flooring. We visited their showroom and worked with David to choose a Coretec luxury vinyl plank. David then came to the house and measured, and sent a proposal. His price was about $400 higher than an equally professional competitor for the same product, so we chose the other shop to do the work. When I told David we went elsewhere, he said he had a little wiggle room in the labor cost, but I don't like doing business that way. Give me your best price and let me compare, rather than revisiting each company to see if they can do better.

    Sasser Companies, Inc
Lucas did measurements and provided a proposal, which was better than 2 more local flooring outfits, so we hired Sasser Flooring to redo our first floor. This required 1) demolition and removal of porcelain tile in kitchen and laundry, some hardwoods from halls, and carpet from living, dining and sun room, 2) installation of new sub-floor plywood to make all floors level, and 3) installation of new Coretec luxury vinyl planks with transitions. The team of Steve (lead), Terry and Nathan did an excellent job on all fronts. When I pointed out any concerns, Steve handled them immediately. The job was professional from start to finish, and we are very pleased with our new downstairs floors.

    Apex Floor & Tile
We hired Apex Floor and Tile to install the bamboo flooring we had purchased throughout the 1st floor of our house. When the job was about half way done, we noticed that their sub-contractor had scratched the bamboo during the installation and there was glue smeared all over the floor. He then used a lacquer thinner to buff and clean the floor. The floor manufacturer specifically states not to use mineral spirits on the bamboo flooring, so the installer had just destroyed the 10-coat scratch resistant finish. We also learned at a later point that they used the wrong glue for the installation. Apex Floor and Tile initially agreed to remove the installed floor and take care of any damages that might occur during the removal process, replace the damaged flooring at their cost and bring in another sub-contractor to finish the project. They reordered the bamboo; however it was not a good color match to the original floor we had purchased. There was an obvious difference in color and shade. Unfortunately, it wasnt noticeable until after the flooring was fully installed because it was stacked for acclimatization. So we just have to live with it at this point. During the floor removal process, the sub-floor was damaged as well as our brand new walls, the kitchen toe kick and kitchen island panel. The second sub-contractor they sent out tried to convince us to do a click installation of the floor rather than the glue installation we had asked for. After we declined, he refused to install the flooring at all. At this point, it went downhill with Apex Floor and Tile. They refused to repair the damages, refused to compensate us for the damages and they informed us that we were better off hiring another contractor to complete the project. We went back and forth with them but they wouldnt budge. So we had to find new contractors to repair the damages and to install the flooring. Once everything was completed, we sent Apex Floor and Tile a compensation request. After weeks of back and forth again, they finally agreed to pay us. It wasnt until I followed up with them a week later that they actually wrote us the check and dropped it off. All in all, a disappointing experience that caused us almost two months of delays in our remodeling process and lots of stress and headaches. We do not recommend Apex Floor and Tile.

    RenewaBuild LLC
Everything went smoothly, very well, and the work was finished way ahead of schedule. We never felt like there was a perceivable gap between jobs---as soon as materials were available the work proceeded. Russell and Suzanne were wonderful to work with, and it was so great having Suzanne there as a designer to help with the design layout of the kitchen and picking out all the materials, paint colors, lighting, and advice on appliances. Not all contractors, actually none in my experience, have designers available to help with the entire process. Russell was so knowledgeable and meticulous in the best way. Russell and Suzanne spent a lot of time at their initial visit to give a free estimate, and they suggested a wonderful new layout for our kitchen which we ended up doing, and it turned out great! Their tilers did a wonderful job fixing our bathroom floor and making our bathroom look like new with the new ceramic tile they installed. All of their teams were a pleasure to work with and highly professional. Their work was outstanding! The only thing I could recommend to Russell and his teams is that when someone is on their way to do work at the home it would be great just to get a text that they're on their way, especially when someone isn't necessarily expected that day. Overall, I highly recommend Renewabuild!

    Wake Remodeling
Wake Remodeling did a complete kitchen remodel for us. They listened to what we were looking for and made suggestions that resulted in both the look and efficiency of the kitchen exceed our expectations. The entire team was easy to work with, dependable, and incredibly skillful in the work they were doing. Coordinating all of the various skills, i.e. electrical, plumbing, cabinet install, tile, carpentry, painting, inspections, as needed to execute this project can be a daunting task but Wake Remodeling handled that in a very efficient manner. We could not be happier with how the entire kitchen remodel turned out, so, we have several future projects planned and will call on Wake Remodeling as our primary contractor.

CAROLINA IN HOME FLOORING & DESIGN CENTER
We did not hire them. The salesman came to our house, measured the entire upstairs, discussed different types of flooring and answered most of our questions. He looked at our stairs twice and we discussed how those would have to be done. We asked for a quote for hard wood flooring including the stairs. He sent a quote for the hardwood but with carpet on the stairs. When I responded to his email stating again that we wanted hardwood on the stairs and not carpet, he asked me to send him pictures of the stairs. This did not instill confidence in this company and we were not inclined to do his job for him. We will be using a different company.

    Floor Coverings International
Very well, Marty was very helpful in selecting the appropriate materials for the projects. He always arrived on time and the instillations went without a hitch. His installers also left everything spotless and moved major furniture back into place. We would recommend him verh highly.
